  • So THAT"S why Borders went out of buisness?

  • no confetti cannon?? C'mon Borders, you used to be cool.

  • FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKK! THAT BORDERS CLOSED DOWN! AND I WALKED ON WHERE TMBG STOOD!

  • I wish that my local Border's was still open just so TMBG could play there. I'd be like that kid standing up, rofl

  • ha kid is GETTING DOWN

  • Young Hickory is the catch of the whole song. Polk followed in Andrew Jackson's footsteps. He was a blessing, but also a curse. Remember the Alamo!

  • We're you patched to the soundboard?

    FK

  • our AP US History teacher showed us this.

  • @RainbowManification omg whos your teacher?!

  • @RainbowManification Our's too

  • @RainbowManification Me too! Mr. Kollen?

  • @Dyknown Nope

  • The boy standing up looks like Obama! Maybe this band made him want to run for President.

  • this song is actually incorrect. Oregon wasn't all sold to us by the English; only split.

  • @Emimilykity try making that fit in with the song...plus Polk got exactly what he wanted

  • Heh, the boy dancing in the middle is a true Giants fan.

  • None of these kids have any idea what they're listening to.

  • I admire James Polk. I wish we have candidates running for president who are as truthful and honest as James K. Polk was.

JKP listed 4 goals he set himself to accomplish in just 4 years: 1) lower tariffs; 2) re-establish the Treasury System; 3) annex the Oregon territory; and 4) acquire California, New Mexico, and Texas from Mexico. One might add the fifth: serve only one term.

True to his word, he achieved all of them in just 4 years. Indeed, an extremely rare feat.

  • wow.......

  • ...having done all this he sought no second TEEEERRRRRRMMM!

  • TMBG + Braintree? That is somehow apt. I feel smarter with every new album! (Mink Car not so much) :)

  • So great to hear the parents singing along.

  • The kid in the middle won't sit down because she shit her pants

  • did you see the kid standing up. Weird.

    ...

    =I

  • polk has the coolest mullet ever

  • i was at a boarders in MN and they were there

  • Sweet, but didn't mention the whole being a mindless eunuch Jackson clone caveat that Polk suffered.

  • That was surprisiongly cool and AWESOME!!

  • lizafreak, johanndc92: APUS History teacher played this in my class too lol

  • Me too! :D

  • @RPaqman me too! This actually made me like JKP the most out of all the mid-19th century presidents. So I guess that's a good thing.

  • Saw them last Friday in DC. Got in a car crash (not our fault (some dude decided to pass us on the left as we were making a left turn) right down the road from the 9:30 Club before the concert and totaled my car but I was able to catch the last 30 minutes with my daughter. We didn't miss Dr. Worm (which we sang nearly the entire 16 hour drive from Eastern Maine in order to see the concert). TMBG is now my daughter's (age 9) all time favorite band.

  • junior in high school--our teacher played this for us today in APUSH

    easily the best class ever

  • this band is the best (i have a dot on my head and its really really really red!!!!) im not being raciest!!!

  • They are unlike any other band. Awesome.

  • Ive always really liked this band ! I saw Them last night in Ithaca and it was great. A real smart move to do kids music , for them a natural progression (particle man ?) They will now have fans and work till they are 100 , Their management must be very happy

    TMBG R O C K !!!!

  • I'm guessing Linnell's pointing at the one guy singing along?

    Either way, awesome.

  • I want to kidnap these two and force them to play for me everyday.

  • It was in that very store I met Kurt Angle in 2001. Knowing that TMBG also played there makes that Borders location infinitely cool :)

  • I so love this band.

  • I think we're all legaly required to. Not that we NEED a law.

  • I'm 14 and I was they preformed at my local border's kid section :(

  • Braintree has to be the coolest name of any city ever...I would name my band that..if i had one..tmbg rule...

  • THIS IS IN A LIBRARY... LOL

  • Almost, it's in a Boarders Book store.

  • Listened to this in school today. TMBG = awesomeness. They should make a comeback.

  • I didn't know they left...

  • Correction-- they were never there.

  • Correction-- you were never laid.

And don't reply insisting you just were last night, or last week, or whatever, because you weren't.

  • Comeback? Jesus, they never stopped...

  • the grey turtleneck kid is lovin this

  • wow we listened to this in class when covering the manifest destiny and annexation of texas today.....

  • thats weird we did that today also!

  • It doesn't seem like they put too much into this concert. They could have phoned this one in.

  • it's preschoolers..they could care less what the music was like

  • The little kid in front seems to care :D He's totally rocking out!

  • well, yes...and no: Millard Filmore fulfilled it...but at the time, people were thinking "Wow, JKP did a lot." they were wrong two presidents later...we got Hawaii...but that was not a state until about a hundred years later! i love history. let's go out sometime.

  • this shit slaps cuz

  • look at the little kid flapping his arms around. go, little, go.

  • i'm glad for them, but dont quite know what to make of the fact that i share a favortite band with 4 years olds...

  • kinda awesome though isn't it..there's hope

  • what a boring concert.

  • "The most boring information possible"? James K. Polk was awesome! He and McKinley ought to be on Mt. Rushmore.

  • McKinley has his own mountain, broseph.

  • we listen to this song once a week in my gov class

  • is your teacher named either mr. peters or mr. cowley?

  • no idea

  • those kids are going to be so incredibly awesome when they grow up, i can just tell. and it's all thanks to tmbg.

  • Haha, wow. I was there. Weird. That kid in the gray shirt was hilarious the entire show.

  • Dog bless TMBG!!!

  • Oma Gosh, those kids rocking out is the cutest thing ever. Thanks for posting it.

  • i love how all the kids are getting into it

  • this kicks ass

  • Lmao. Seeing this song performed in front of 5-year-olds is hilarious.

  • It's so great to watch the kids jam to some classic TMBG! I hoep they do another tour like this so I can take my two year old! Thanks for posting!!!

  • I love this song! I must say, they achived their goal in making me remember a piece of boring and mundane information X3

  • theres no way those kids apreciated that as much as i did

  • I dunno. That kid in the grey shirt looks like he's having a very good time.
