I work for a Verizon Call center. Thing is, I'm still new, so they have all the best people out helping me. As soon as you hit the floor after your protected 2 weeks, you're on your own. And most of us haven't been trained for shit. (I seriously slept through my 6 weeks of training). I'm going to quit here soon, just because I know I'm not going to have the answers for people, I don't want to put you all through this hell.
Love the ignorance of people who think they know what they're talking about and think they are going to make a difference by recording calls, WHICH IS ILLEGAL PER THE VERIZON PROPRIETARY CONTRACT WHICH IS PART OF YOUR CONTRACT...all you are doing is making yourself look like a fucking idiot when we are giving you the correct information.
@invincilog-i am guessing that you work for VERIZON. this guy couldn't get anyone to help him. i think that he had every right to tape this and show others what kind of service he was getting over the phone.
You would need patients for this kind of crap they should just have real people instead of robots talking to you. Even if you talk to a real person it's a pain as well.
dude when i call them i just keep pressing 0 and it goes straight to the operator--Verizon does suck but man you wasted a lot of time on that automated service crap hahahahahah
I work at a call center for Verizon Wireless and think I understand why I've gotten so many FiOS calls now. Aaaggh! No wonder they're so pissed off by the time they get to me. I've gotten knocked for handle time due to conferencing (rather than cold transferring) them so they did not have to deal with um... this... O.o
@steeltitan04 automated voice promp can only understand 2 to 3 words... so if you are using a full statement system might have difficulties in understanding it... i also encountering a lot of misdirect calls...
Oh my God. I feel like I'm having a panic attack, just from watching this. The WORST is when it just hangs up on you after going from option to option for 30 minutes.... Geezzzz.... and then they wonder why we're all annoyed once we finally get someone.
I think the word "fucking" should be programmed to auto transfer you to a rep. After working in a call center the thing I could never understand about verizon is that they always change the department numbers. I usually call the internal number before transferring the customer to make sure they get the right place, but I'm positive most reps don't do this.
"I wanna give you money" Dude, I had the same problem. THE-SAME-EXACT problem. "I do apologize" after a few times loses it's meaning. I couldn't put my video up because it was just WAY too explicit.

I can't believe all the comments that are practically on the side of Verizon here. No wonder people get such shitty service out of companies these days.
I HATE these phone voice-menus. You CAN get a human, but it's really difficult. These companies don't care at ALL about helping you. All they want is your money....do you all get it? Their commercials are all bullshit. It's a facade. They are inefficient, and don't care about you in the least. Their stupidity is your problem...not theirs. The only way to deal with them is to start taking your business elsewhere.
Hey Onjo, good representation of the wonderful *bleh* service verizon can give you sometimes.
Just to let you know though, the intro and entire call sequencing model that verizon uses is proprietary, meaning that if you record and post a youtube video you are actually infringing on their patented sequence. Just making sure you know what's up, corporate sucks. Love the video though, thanks :D
hey dummy when dealing with a automated system you got to wait for the prompt and choose from its programed selection not sit and think its goign to recognize your speech sentances automated dont work this way no wonder your having a hard time.
Ok, seriously, if you pulled your bill out and put in the information you were asked to give from the get go this call would have been a lot quicker and easier... Instead you felt that Verizon should automatically know your information because its you calling. Patience goes a long way. Seriously fallow directions or did you not learn that from grade school?
@redbook233 hey dick weed, its funny you can call me an idiot for a TYPO but seem to think your so much better. I guess your perfect and have NEVER made a mistake? Go take a long walk off a short pier.
(Cont'd..) If you put in your fucking account/telephone number you may reach the correct fucking department. Also you can't record your conversation with the associate unless you advise them. Posting this video on the internet could actually leave you facing a lawsuit. Also, speak FLUENTLY and respond correctly to what is being asked of you next time you call in.
@ThumbMeBaby Well, randomly obnoxious asshole, I have a video posted wherein I DID inform them, and they were equally useless. Check it out and then bitch at me, please do. Hop off Verizon's dick.
As humorous as you responses are to the automated system as someone who works in a call center I have some tips for you. 1.) Don't use your fucking speaker phone, pick up the phone. 2.) When dealing with prompts don't use responses like "I'm callin' about my fuckin' internet" the system is not programed to respond to that type of response. 3.) You reached to wrong department because the fucking system couldn't understand your dumbass. -_-
@ThumbMeBaby THANKKKYOOUU!! I cringed watching the video, because the automated system does not understand sentences that does not correspond with the prompts given, I work in a call center too, and I honestly hate when people just dial 0 or just do what he just did because you usually just get transferred to a customer care rep in the INCORRECT DEPARTMENT!....smh
When you called the right number it wasn't that bad if you would have followed the right prompts. it would help the system if you didn't talk that way. I have customers in my business that say they can't ever get someone on the phone and I call the same number they do and get through
Verizon is the worst when it comes to discussing your bill, a nightmare, they just kept passing me from one to another operator and I just couldnt take it any longer. I wish everyone would boycott verizon, they charged me $600 for a single months calls and i have no idea how that happened, i have T mobile now for $59.95 unlimited calls.
They ALL suck. Companies get too big for their britches and install "money saving" devices like computers that waste customers' time and patience. Then the humans who might *eventually* answer get all uppity that you come to them pre-antagonized, and they hang up on you. Best to just do business with companies who WANT your business and will treat you with respect to get it.
This is exactly why they should have stayed with input through numbers, instead of saying "yes", "no", or "kiss my ass". It all sounds the same to a machine. It wastes a customers time and patience.
Dumb ass you need to enter your land line number!!!! Your cell phone is not connected to your fios internet. You could have saved all of us the torture of listening to you make a fool of yourself. If you would have listened to the rest of the recording it would have said agent.
The point of this video is that it shouldn't be this fucking difficult to do something as simple as changing some credit card information. This should be a touch-tone system... This whole fucking, "making things easier by linking customers to their home phone numbers and voice recognition software" is ridiculous and frustrates people more often than not. That's why Apple has such great customer satisfaction... Because they get on the phone with the customer ASAP.
dude you are really stupid, yo dont know how to responde when they ask you a questio, even if you speel it slow it wont help asshole!!!, you are really stupid the machine is asking you for simple answers, & you talk like if you were talking to a real person...ITS A MACHINE ASSHOLE!!!, if u call 1-888-553-15-55 they help you very quick!.
P.D. DONT TALK LIKE A STUPID.... if u cant change your stupid voice, you should kill your self
OK, I'm no fan of Verizon's customer service but you are the douche here. They use your phone number to access your account, that is all. All you had to do is input your home phone number then in the options say "agent" and they'd put you on queue for a live person. I stopped listening to this at the 2:30 mark because it seems as though you were trying to create a problem rather than trying to resolve it. I know it's a pain, but just do as the thing tells you.
@Rockhound6165 Well if you watched the full vid you would hear me inputing my phone number more than once, getting a 'live' person twice, still with no resolution. Some parts were deleted because the total time was 50 or so minutes and my phone number and other numbers were cut off or out for obvious reasons.
u cannot imagine how many times I have used this IVR thing and it is not that difficult!!! You just have to know the information you've given to the person first registered you for the service! you gave it !!!
Dude...do you not know how to talk to an IVR (interactive voice response)? That's why people complain about automated systems, b/c they talk to it like its a person. Common sense, people. Common sense. Machines can't interpret sarcasm.
Been in this spot 1000 times.. Their telephony systems are worthless for 99% of the times I call. On the rare occasion I call it's to talk to someone.
Wow, you call a lot. Luckily I don't have to call much any more. They got their shit right here and it is fast. Comcast at my business though is dropping every month on schedule. And it is slower. YouTube stutters, vimeo drags, FIos is fast. Their phone service is almost non-existent though like you say.
they need your phone number to bring up your account, its as simple as that. You are making it hard on yourself by not answering the questions. If you are rude to the rep they are not gonna want to help you. Good luck buddy.
this guys an idiot. i work for verizon and deal with the ivr all the time. its not hard to get through at all. even my most retarded customers can get to the right place
@trlomatka that is not the local business office that is for the bitchy IVR, the 888.553.1555 number that you gave out is for the same bitchy IVR, as a tech support CSR rep, i have learned the tricks of the Verizon IVR, the trick is putting your landline phone # in the IVR to trigger different options, and that is hard enough, Fuck the IVR!
The only way to deal with this company is by way of covert operations. I hate Verizon almost more than any other company in the United States of America.

This is frustrating! If i'm that verizon agent, I'm gonna warm transfer him to quell his frustration instead the cold one.

im calling about my fucking internet service
Deion000 1 year ago
OK, I'm no fan of Verizon's customer service but you are the douche here. They use your phone number to access your account, that is all. All you had to do is input your home phone number then in the options say "agent" and they'd put you on queue for a live person. I stopped listening to this at the 2:30 mark because it seems as though you were trying to create a problem rather than trying to resolve it. I know it's a pain, but just do as the thing tells you.
Rockhound6165 1 year ago
@Rockhound6165 Well if you watched the full vid you would hear me inputing my phone number more than once, getting a 'live' person twice, still with no resolution. Some parts were deleted because the total time was 50 or so minutes and my phone number and other numbers were cut off or out for obvious reasons.

u cannot imagine how many times I have used this IVR thing and it is not that difficult!!! You just have to know the information you've given to the person first registered you for the service! you gave it !!!

please tell me your number...."i'm not calling about a number, i'm calling about my....." really?
MiakodaRose 1 year ago
@MiakodaRose I see this really tweaked you. Thanks you made my day.
onjoFilms 1 year ago
Dude...do you not know how to talk to an IVR (interactive voice response)? That's why people complain about automated systems, b/c they talk to it like its a person. Common sense, people. Common sense. Machines can't interpret sarcasm.
MiakodaRose 1 year ago
Been in this spot 1000 times.. Their telephony systems are worthless for 99% of the times I call. On the rare occasion I call it's to talk to someone.
Victord2000 2 years ago
Wow, you call a lot. Luckily I don't have to call much any more. They got their shit right here and it is fast. Comcast at my business though is dropping every month on schedule. And it is slower. YouTube stutters, vimeo drags, FIos is fast. Their phone service is almost non-existent though like you say.
onjoFilms 2 years ago
they need your phone number to bring up your account, its as simple as that. You are making it hard on yourself by not answering the questions. If you are rude to the rep they are not gonna want to help you. Good luck buddy.

I gave them my number more than once.

Ever think you dialed the wrong service number? duh.
XF220 2 years ago
No, as you can see in the vid, I rechecked the number on the internet. It was Verizon's mistake.
onjoFilms 2 years ago
i think you need something very usefull call 1 866 268 4630 simple as that. and the options in the prompt menu are: 1, 1, 1, 2 thats all
djstonemusic 2 years ago
OMG!! 10min for this vid!! this person would have spent more than this to reach a representative to help him. What a service!!

I used to when I lived in Iran, but then they cut my hands off, so I don't do that any more.
onjoFilms 2 years ago
Oh, in Soviet Russia, I cut other people's hands off. Then burned them.
AJComixII 2 years ago
That is so coool. We should meet up some time, I still have my hands in a box, you can burn them up if you would like.
onjoFilms 2 years ago

AJComixII 2 years ago
Well, at that time I was a Cingular customer, does that matter?
onjoFilms 2 years ago

AJComixII 2 years ago
The absolute most.
onjoFilms 2 years ago
Then I'll deport them to Russia. And then burn their hands off. No more programing phone mazes for them.
AJComixII 2 years ago
this guys an idiot. i work for verizon and deal with the ivr all the time. its not hard to get through at all. even my most retarded customers can get to the right place
tehaj 2 years ago
No, you're an idiot. Two people handled me this entire conversation and still did not get me to the place I needed to go. How do you explain that?
onjoFilms 2 years ago
They gave him they number, not his fault moron.
AJComixII 2 years ago
@trlomatka that is not the local business office that is for the bitchy IVR, the 888.553.1555 number that you gave out is for the same bitchy IVR, as a tech support CSR rep, i have learned the tricks of the Verizon IVR, the trick is putting your landline phone # in the IVR to trigger different options, and that is hard enough, Fuck the IVR!

Maybe if you stopped making an ass of yourself, the operator wouldn't be a dick.

The only way to deal with this company is by way of covert operations. I hate Verizon almost more than any other company in the United States of America.
