What is cost difference with a turbine?

This one, all in is probably about 2000, turbine of the same model would be 8-10000. It's not just the price of the turbine, it's all the extras, like the gearbox or drive unit that takes the 150,000 rpm of the turbine, and converts it to a reasonable head speed for the blades

tell you what dude, the bigger a rc helicopter is the easyer they are to fly. I fly Eco 8's, Trex 450's, and a HK500GT. The bigger you go the more stable.

I would recomend the blade 400 RTF. Now the servos in it are not forgiving. I watched my cusin tap the blades and take out a feathering shaft and a servo. Still flys good out of the box. As soon as the weather gets better here in Montana I will take more videos

@FordManMT really those servos are more than not forgiving, they're crap, and should be replaced with decent ones. Also a 401 gyro, so you can actually have a tail that locks. Biggest problem flying helis is when learning, that tail drifting, whether you're hovering tail in, or trying forward flight, if she spins round when you do'nt expect it, you're hooped.

I'd suggest one of the GOOD trex clones instead, better setup and as cheap of parts as the blade

Make sure you get a RC sim before the real one in the summer Those coax helis are good starter but don't really get you ready for how senstivie and how little input it takes to control a real collective pitch heli. Realflight is one of the best, but there are free ones online too, like clearview

Seen a couple guys that have done similar stuff. Really expensive though, as you need a system to transfer the turbine power over to the head, the conversion needs to gear it down big time too, don't want 150,000 rpm head speed at full turbine throttle lol

We did it on a PTS Mustang, two small rockets, just search for rocket launch from a PTS and you'll find it on youtube. For sure rather have it out the bottom than on the blades. Gas would be nice, no smoke, better sound too

You have to use heat resistant line, something like rad hose to get it there, muffler is pretty hot, he may do it. Nice heli though

yup, it's unpainted, but looks real nice. just search on youtube mini titan cobra. there's a vid by a user called danjel357. it's made by some chinese company but it looks awesome if painted well and it's a ah-1w super cobra, not a huey cobra like this one.
