That was not so bad in that time (not worse than Golf 3) Fiat make one of the safest cars. Most of the newer Fiats have 4 or 5 EuroNCAP stars. Punto II was safest car in class for example. Grande Punto have 5 stars also.

la punto etait une bonne voiture en son temps, lors de sa sortie fin 1993 il etait meme possible d'acquerir la version hsd equipée de l'abs et du double air bag! cette voiture ne craint pas la comparaison avec ses contemporaines,la clio de l'epoque ne faisait pas mieux et j'imagine les resultats qu'auraient obtenues une 106 ou une ax si elles avaient étaient crachées!!

I crashed a punto last year, the car is too light, I rolled it three times, then it went sideways over a ditch, hitting a tree on the way, landed on the roof then fell back onto the wheels.. the airbags never deployed, the roof completely flattened ontop of me, even my new cd player i had was crushed in the dash.. All over two big ass potholes in the lane
