You claim he became a jedi the second time... this is true. But why is that? Because Malak betrayed him and the Jedi reprogrammed his mind. They gave him a second chance. True, he did rediscover his past, and still chose the Jedi, but Revan didn't initiate his own return the the Light Side, so you can't say he is not a true Dark Lord. If left to his own devices, he would have remained Lord of the Sith and conquered the galaxy.

Its pretty much the backstory to the second kotor game and the exile leaving, plus the new mmorpg game. revan and the exile tried to fight the true sith empire and fail.
