  • feel...what feeeeel this man has...

  • Наверняка, там среди зрителей были в основном гитаристы.

  • cool, thanx master

  • i keep forgetting the name of this song...want to start remembering it lol..

  • @loiyer lol maybe , but i always seen him with the sun glasses :D

  • @GuitarNewbie1 lol just an image, i bet. It's like the ninja turtles and their headbands, Mario and his mustache, Yngwie and his jewelry. .

  • @Alizar06 lol

  • still dr.professor ser joe satriani = the best heavy metal artsman on the entire earth

  • @Tihomir7777 Heavy metal?

  • i dun think i got sound in my multi :S

  • he looks like voldemort hahahaha but he plays really good!!

  • @pingasoenlacara Yep he looks like Voldemort :D

  • i hate the ibanez sound :/

  • @2112nico What do you mean "the ibanez sound" ? are you saying that Satch, Pat Metheny, Mick Thomson, George Benson, Paul Gilbert, John Scofield, Tom.G.Warrior and Steve Vai all sound the same ? Ibanez produce a wide range of guitars that all sound different for different styles - and let us not forget that quite often the artists will have third party pickups installed and play through different amps. Therefore, your statement actually means "I hate Ibanez for no reason".

  • @blewi1 maybe bad experiences, but i hate it :/ at least the ibanez for play metal

  • @2112nico what is the ibanez sound? xD ... maybe you hate dimarzio sound or jsx sound.. but ibanez?...

  • Love that auto wah sound! Actually one of Satch's more simple songs but still amazing, especially live!!!

  • @kvkop I don't think he ever uses auto wah... I mean I've never seen him use it. And I once heard him say in an interview that he doesn't.

  • if he ever dies...i would kill myself to this song.

  • Джо ты Волшебник!!!

  • Crush of Love is still my favorite from Joe

  • I just came

  • 9 people can kiss my a**

  • at 0:49 joe makes a nice lil tweak on one of his high strings. love it when guys tune in the middle of kicking ass

  • 9 people are completely idiots

  • That's amazing!

  • wow...his playing off this this sounds so cool in such an intimate setting.

  • wow...

  • I remember breaking my E string trying to get that note on 2:24

    fml

  • There are 9 losers who dont like Joe satriani. Joe satriani is my GOD

  • satcha is the better guitarplayer of this universe , hail to the master

  • he can play me anytime!!

  • I love the way the guitar is screaming with pleasure from 2:00 to 2:25 while he fingers it.

It must be a female guitar !!!......lol

  • i remember writing this song and joe bought it from me. i said sure y not.

  • @believin13 and i am chuck norris

  • @believin13 haha...hahah.....XD

  • watch: EliOKjwOZX0

  • watch?v=G9m6B5sMdkQ listen my version of this song :)))

  • I think this is my favorite version of this song. At 3:33 - 3: 37 dude is F'in rockin. I love that.

  • 3:32 to 3:37 is a epic legato lick

  • joe is the kenny g of guitar

  • Mmmmmmmmm wahhhhh--wahhh

  • I got Dreaming #11 on tape at a junk shop for $1 today. Never opened, Original packaging. Worked on the Car Stereo, but nothing in the house plays tapes.

  • this is pretty good joe, you have some potential, just need to work on your timing and bends a little

  • @matt926uk1

Dude, everything satch does is on purpose. He can bend perfectly and the 'off timings' were intentonally too.

  • @matt926uk1 lol are you serious? he has "potential'? this guy has more talent in his pinky than 99% of artists today.

  • @matt926uk1 - ROFLMAO...... yeah.... ok, man. He needs lots more practice, eh?

  • 8 people were crushed by love

  • i think the 8 dudes that didn't like this were picky about sound quality. :)

  • @coratican exactly dude!

  • Okay sound quality, AWESOME wammy!!!

  • this is SICK!!!

  • If we all played guitar by law I'd have a lot of competition. And that would suck.

  • i have "Big Bad Wah"

but how does Joe makes his Wah wah sound so.. prominent or so clear? i mean it makes a really heavy wah sound.

  • @Inginitto Try leaving the gain near off, or about 12 o clock, either/or;

also throw on the Vox inductor, the green light-

and play with the voice switch however you like.

  • @Inginitto Don't know. He isn't using the wammy pedal, because you can't see his thigh moving up and down like you usually do when Joe does a wammy. He's probably using the wammy dial thing(one of those white dails near the edge of the guitar) and, obvoiusly, a wammy bar.

  • @Inginitto are you putting your wah on the right side of your overdrive/distortion. (the guitar should be straight into wah)

  • @Inginitto it's like this one guy saying the same thing about the skin on his snare drum (he bought one gavin harrisson uses). it's simple - you don't have the rest of the equipment joe has... guitar, cabinets, amp heads and a bunch of top notch production is behind his sound :P

  • @NeverBandProject i dont think you should have said that, because actually i do have his cabinet. and i do have his amp.. i actually have his entire signature collection ;) including js1200

  • @AlexanderLarsen92 you BASTARD! :D well man, I don't know... I guess it could be that even signature equipment isn't exactly the same he has, but than again who knows xD after all, be happy you have all that, some of us aren't that fortunate :/

  • @NeverBandProject i don't have the money for it, it almost ruined me.. and getting the cab was a hell.. cause you can only get them from ebay or other aution houses and 90% only ships within the UK or the USand im live in europe :P

  • @Inginitto that's cause he's joe satriani lol how he can't do this ?:D

  • i cried when i listened to this song

  • He looks a bit like Lord Voldemord lol xD

  • @ThePainshooter lol that's what i was thinkin.

  • 3:55 youve gotta love how the guy on the side looks at Joe going "wtf?" then looks at the applauding crowd going "omg. he just did that"

  • fucking SICKKKK!!!!!!!! best version of that song ive heard by satch!

  • the best

  • ah flying in a blue dream was about to start at the end!!

  • great teacher and guitar fabuloso rock on joe!!

  • he's playing with a wah wah effct right?? but is he using a pedal one or one of those automatic ones..or i dunno ...no idea what im talking about, but would like to know what he's using..

  • @daniel953122 a pedal

  • Where can you get THIS backingtrack? Can't seem to find this version

  • LOL @ Disinterested roadie with Ibanez shirt @ 0:15

  • @fairvalehigh @2:25 he makes his guest appearance setting the table cloth

  • i just love this shit. to be able to tell a story without saying one word. this is music at it's finest. I could listen to him play all day. just wish so many bands of today would take some notes from this guitar legend.

  • does any1 know what the name of the song is?

First he plays The Crush of Love, but then it start to play some more.. what is that?

  • @Inginitto He then starts playing "Flying in a blue dream"

  • @Inginitto flying in a blue dream =D

  • In Soviet Russia, love crushes YOU!

  • damn this sombitch can play a guitar! sad thing is i only found about his music a week ago on xm radio. this guy she be in the rock and roll hall of fame.

  • @BILL92691 then you must be very young or not interested in guitar.

  • this is the best version i could find, still great =]

  • this guy is unreal

  • @takayamagotfryed thats why he's one of the best guitarist in the world

  • I would take Satriani's melody over shred any day.

  • exactly! I don't listen to electric guitar much. I mostly listen to classical (Chopin, Rachmaninov, Bach, Tchaikovsky, etc), but what do you recommend that has a similar style to this song by Satriani? (i.e. slower, melodious, etc)

    Thanks,

    Tony

  • @TwelfthRoot2 Summer Song

  • @TwelfthRoot2

"If I could fly" and "Cryng" are 2 excellent songs in the slower, melodic, love song type compositions he has written

  • try crying, all alone, the mighty turtle head, all by joe satriani.

  • @TwelfthRoot2

    some Vai songs mabie.

Wispering a Prayer or For The Love of God

  • Chuck Norris, Eat your heart out. You just got owned on guitar.

  • XDXDXDXDXD

  • FINALLY somebod saw the amazing comment! thank you very much!

  • I think sincerity is what famous people lack in this day and age, but Joe certainly delivers in that respect.

  • I didn't know God played guitar.

  • Haha nice.

  • Hey Thanks! I was just hoping I wasn't to out of line with that comment! He does have quite an image---but he also has a fantastic talent to back it up.

  • i think thats my fav youtube comment ever

  • Thanks! That's what's in my heart when I hear him play.

  • @pigletized yeah :P me too

  • @bouggi123 Thanks!

  • @pigletized He used to. Then he saw Joe play and put it in the corner and never picked it up again.

  • @Fektthis Ha ha ha! I just hope Joe keeps going for a long time!

  • @pigletized already know :D

  • @pigletized

well it depends how you identify god

with all respect ..your comment is stupid

  • Lol, I never seen him play to a backin before. SATCH FTW! WOOOOOOOO!

  • what did he adjust at :49?

  • He adjusted he's floyd rose (brigde) for tuning

  • Doesnt Satch rock Edge Pro's?

  • They do. Both Satch and Vai have them on the guitars they play. Not ALL of them - at least some of Vai's JEMs have Edge IIIs, or Edge II Pros. But the high-end models have Edge Pros. Everyone seems to be quite pleased with the Pros.

  • No other guitar player can share his feelings better through 6 strings than Joe Satriani. Amazing...

  • I want a wah now!!!! :(

  • is it ok if i play this with the normal crybaby? would it sound alike?

  • what the heck happened to him ? the last time I saw him play, he had hair....

  • Well that must ahve been at least 15 years ago you saw him then....

  • lol

  • man, ur out of date!

  • i wonder how he create that melodies his soul is powerful, tasty, sensible and thanks you help me to enjoy the feeling of the music, thanks for teach me to play guitar my master

  • Very powerful sound!!!!! Simply great!!!!! I love it!!!

  • joe is my hero :) !!!!!! lol

  • Great joe,s performance is always nice.

  • I freaking love it when he feedbacks his way into Flying In A Blue Dream! Like in the San Fransisco CD.

  • this brother was useing the as little as possible back up music he could that is why he is were he is today!

  • Cry Baby Gcb-95

  • I think that he plays it in live in san francisco a thousand times better, but anyway, he is a big influence for nearly every guitarist on lovely planet earth and his music touches the most of us deep down in heart...maybe it wasn't his day

    greetings from vienna

  • It wasn't his day?

Are you f*ckin kidding me? :D

  • All days are in property of Joe Satriani, thou are wrong.

  • Satch's best ever song, but he has many that are close. Some beautiful ad libs on the solo and on the outro. Total class! Listened to Satch the last 20 years and he is still the very essence of the electric guitar. Great footage, a pleasure to see. Post some more dude ! 6 stars if I could ...

  • GUITAR GOD!!! HES MY SON!! :)

  • this guy is awesome SATCH!!!

  • Ya see, Joe doesn't cater to trends. He's not trying to impress anyone or show off.

Joe writes songs to show everyone that he has a LOT to say through his guitar, so people can say "Man, I know what that guy was feeling when he wrote that".

Satch For President....so everyone can play guitar by law :)

  • AYY-menn but after obama..

  • @Firefret30003 and NO WAR

  • SATCH!!

  • AWGH My God. Satch just rules. The outro into Flying in a Blue Dream was just...awghh!

  • i just love how he lets the song breath

  • thanks 4 Jimi Hendrix's song, very good song

  • satch is awesome though for real.... i like his feel....

  • i get you on that comment man, this song isnt that impressive but it certainly is fun to listen to and sounds great, not nescesarrily leaps and bounds in terms of progressing the electric guitar genre, but a great solid track

  • I dont agree personally, does something have to be so intricate to be great? Hell, Iron Man is a great riff and is one of the most simple to play. How great a song is imo depends on how well it represents it's title in terms of how it makes you feel and what you think at the time of listening. Plus, Joe is a far better guitarist than hendrix ever was, In Joe's songs his notes fit together in one mozaic of music, whereas Jimi's goes off in tangents.

  • Dude how great a song is depends on the listener. The listener will have to decide what he/she wants to listen to, or likes. So there really is no such thing as good or bad music. Just a matter of taste, and what music people like.

  • I would disagree with you, music that influences high followings and other people to play instruments I would consider 'Great'. Hell, I dont like MAB but I cant deny that he produces great music and such a high level. 'Great' music is how well its constructed, played and playing in a given style. Dont misunderstand my use of great, im not using it in he sense of that I like and I yhink its great to listen. I think it is 'Great' on the very highest musical level.

  • satch isnt out 2 impress ppl all the time although he dose alot. Its more about how he feels.

  • i agree hes a bit sloppy for his standards this whole clinic, maybe cos hes using other gear than his usual

  • i reel want to clone this man....

  • What a perfect lead in to Flying in a Blue Dream! Lol, but damn, what an AWESOME song... MUST LEARN lol if I can

  • unbelievable

  • damn Matt, lighten up... yer a kid.... i bet you're sloppy too, at times being a little kid and all.... dont whine, learn!

    peace

  • miticooooooooooo

  • The COOLEST beginning to any rock song I've ever seen!! I've seen Joe twice and spoke to him once (in the old days, the late 80's), and he has NEVER failed to amaze me! Love you, Joe.

  • is the best , for ever

  • one of my friends is having a guitar which is used by joe satriani...its just like the one he plays in this video...

  • i'm gonna get that guitar in the near future. Gorgeous.

  • mmm not bad

  • not the same. little sloppy

  • wtf do u expect its a clinic

  • I actually prefer it to be a little sloppy. It makes it feel a little more genuine and gives it some more feeling and power in my opinion. That's a lot of the charm that the 60s and the 70s had. I usually actually TRY to play a little free to keep it from feeling mechanical, especially in my own songs.

  • I agree with you but I wouldnt exactly say he's sloppy, hes still perfect on what he plays, I like it when guitarists alter material here and there. IMO this version is better than the studio version, the S-version is far mechanical and in this version he carries his notes for a lot longer.
