No it's true. Built in 1895 for the Universal Exhibit of Paris 1900 by Paccard. Each key command one spring to move one clapper. The wheel is moved by carionneur pedals to bend springs. Search "carillon buglose" on google t have ore details.

I thought there were only carillons like in Holland with wooden sticks.
