According to the Medical Letter Volume 48, March 13, 2006, "The frequency of systemic beta adrenergic adverse effects (tachycardia, tremors, nervousness) in clinical trials with both levalbuterol and racemic Albuterol was low and comparable to that of placebo. Xopenex® is expensive and there is NO actual advantage.
