  • Those laughing Nazis at the start of the video, wouldn't be laughing if they knew they would never ever see Germany ever again.

  • I wish the History Channel would dig up more facts than this reality crap they show today.

  • Not one step back!!!

  • I still don't understand why they fought WWII in black and white.

  • well the brits send hurricanes to russians, maybe even spitfires

  • I like the title when two Spitfires fly over the city.,

Really! The nearest Spitfires were 6000 miles away!

  • Everyone calm down. The History channel was never meant for a 24/7 rift. They have 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year to fill. After a few years crap will appear, just as filler. So calm down and have a little pity on them. If you have a better idea how they can manage all that time talk to them, as I have, they will listen to you.

  • So much that is written about WW2 is simply propaganda covering missing information. In formation that would paint a picture the allies would rather people not know. Not one step back....or you are shot. Pseudo history presented by chumps to the masses conditioned by their own perception filter installed at an early age to believe pseudo history.

  • while fighting the Germans, Russians had their civil war,..

  • @kmpatenio While fighting the Russians, Germans were fighting US, UK, Canada, french rebels, Australia, New Zealand, etc.

  • 250 germans 6-th army

  • I thought hitler wanted stalingrad because he thought it would cripple the morale of the russians and for it to fall would be a mighty blow to stalin himself. Paulus should have disobeyed hitler and retreated for the sake of his soldiers who then died because of his cowardice actions.

  • I prefer a Hitler Channel to a "Pickers, Pawn Stars, Pretty Truck Driver" Channel.

  • what a BS

  • I thought the reason for invading Stalingrad was so the German army could take over the oil fields in the Caucuses.

  • how do i get rid of this annoyying WebM video? its a piece of shit, nothing but a fake wanna be youtube. google or youtube should take this WebM video out, cus its fucking gay!

  • Oh, this is back when the History Channel showed actual history.

  • @Sinadins History CHannel...where TRUTH is HISTORY

  • @Sinadins Yes, the days before pawn shops and rednecks driving on ice roads somehow was considered history.

  • @Sinadins yeah that Pawn shop show sucks.

  • @Sinadins It still shows real history, Like that America was first settled by Aliens.

  • @neverfearchrisishere hahaha LOL

  • @Sinadins NO THE HISTORY CHANNELS IS FOR REPTILLIAN ALIEN 2020 END OF THE WORLD EGYPTIANS

  • Hitler commited suicide, he knew he'd lost.

  • Most of the people commenting here don't know what they're talking about. Try reading books instead of watching documentaries

  • hitler's bitchin blitz!

  • Unbelievable, what kind of SHIT they are talking about. Hitler NEVER went to Stalingrad because it was named after Stalin. That's pure bullshit. Hitler himself said, that this was not important to him. He went to Stalingrad because there the city was a point, where several routes from the oil fields went in. With ten thousands of transports carrying the liquid. That's why. I hate these pseudo-history-experts.

  • @MadGuyMunich Then why did Hitler not block the Volga shipping routes south of Stalingrad in order to cut off the Soviet Union from its Oil supplies (Or throw the entire 6th army towards Causasian Oil fields instead of Stalingrad in the first place?) He pressured the Wehrmacht into desperate urban combat? Why? He should have known that the highly mobile German army was primarily designed for Blitzkrieg tactics, not urban warfare...any clues?

  • @ArenaOfTheAncients Don't know. Am I the Fuhrer himself? I dont think so. You could ask him, if he wouldn't live in Argentinia and play COD World at War on Xbox .... or if he is dead...

  • @MadGuyMunich Sounds historically accurate...thanks for the enlightenment ;)

  • @ArenaOfTheAncients lol no problem, mate. u mad? :D

  • @MadGuyMunich hitler also said he wouldn't go to war at all.

  • @MadGuyMunich Do you mean they're pseudo experts or it's pseudo history? Pseudo.

  • @MadGuyMunich "I wanted to go to this city, it happened to have the same name as stalin" :3 yep.. it was the name

That's what Hitler said . I will translate you in the following anser.

  • @grahwo "I wanted to advance to the Wolga , to one specific place , at one city. Casually, it was named after Stalin. But dont think, that is the reason I went there - I could have just any other name - I went there because it is a very important point." - (and how he went on: "30 Million tons of traffic move through there - 9 million tons of that are oil") clearly proving that he did not went there because it was named after the city. SO FUCK YOU HISTORY CHANNEL.

  • @MadGuyMunich

    History channel I laugh ^.^

"There is not written ANYWHERE that aliens was NOT helping Hitler to fight the war! So it might just BE true!"

Meeeh, screw History channel.. read proper literature ;) Antony Beevor !

  • @MadGuyMunich lmao, of course he is going to say that...Hitler told more and more lies as the wehrmacht was being decimated.

  • @gettincrazywithit doesnt necessarily mean that this was a lie. and if you look close enough, you will see that it's true what it said. There were the routes from the oilfields and everything else...

  • @MadGuyMunich They were also not freshly raised armies. The Army that conducted the giant pincer movement around Stalingrad was the same well armed, well trained, well led and experienced Siberian army that had decisively defeated the Japanese in a number of battlers on the Manchurian bored from 1936 to 1939. With Japan at war with the Western allies Stalin was free to move this army west.

  • @binaway But they were indeed fresh troops with equipment suited for harsh winter warfare.

  • @MadGuyMunich He wishes to take the Caucasus and control the oil fields, the fuelling of his armies were based on the presumption that such key points would be taken. The traditional notion of taking a Nation's Capital to win a war was increasingly rare, however as Russia had poor infrastructure, it would have been a viable option to take Moscow. We have to remember that pure history would bore the American public, so they have to bring in some fantastical notions and stories to get viewers

  • @MadGuyMunich I gotta agree with you. It was because of the fact that Stalingrad was the main resource hub in the South that Hitler directed his armies against her. If Moscow, Leningrad and Stalingrad had fallen, where could the Soviets fall back to? Certainly the Urals were a logical choice but if the Urals had fallen then where to? Magnitogorsk? Lake Baikal? Most of the Soviet population was in European Russia. But all this is only in my humble opinion.

  • @MadGuyMunich that was also a contributing factor u idiot - that the city was named after him was just another reason of attacking...-.-

  • @MadGuyMunich you are kid from internet who thinks that he can learn history from wikipedija lol..

  • @MadGuyMunich , It is the Moral Hitler was after. i assume. if the name of their Communist Brainwashed soviet leader was captured, the entire Moral of the Russian will fall.

  • @MadGuyMunich : You're right, the '42 campaign was about oil, and Stalingrad did serve as a transportation hub for the Russian oil industry. Looking at the tactical situation around the city, I think a commander or leader of solid mind could have figured out more ways then one to prevent it from fulfilling it's important role of oil transportation hub, yet AH insisted that armies keep marching into the meat grinder. I do think it being the 'City Of Stalin' contributed to that.

  • @sorrowman2 The problem was that the Nazi supply lines were already overstretched, and the next objective in Russia of major significance would mean stretching those supply lines another couple of hundred miles.. which they just couldn't manage. Much better in the Germans eyes to not stretch their supply lines further and allow the Russians to come to them if they were silly enough to fight on the germans terms.

  • @MadGuyMunich I hope you're a real historian :) I do believe the battle of Stalingrad really was something personal between Hitler and Stalin. Stalin was prepared to evacuate Moscow but ordered large parts of the civilian population to stay in Stalingrad because of his personal prestige. Hitler on the other hand ordered the 6th Army to exterminate the population of Stalingrad, which wasn't a tactical necessity if his goal was to conquer the Caucasian oilfields.

  • @MadGuyMunich You are 100 percent correct. I was gunna say something similar, but you got there before me.

  • Polygamous1, TheTemplarnight. I hate it when people argue over which country did most, its a petty way of looking at war. People forget that even with all the countries that where in the allies, it was still a horrifically close thing, hence every country (not just Canada, Australia and britain) was needed to defeat the axis. Also none of the people in these comments fought in ww2 so what do people mean by "we". All we owe is the people who died fighting in ww2 regardless of race or nationality

  • @cozygoth Wrong

  • @cozygoth we where not fighting you idiot we where just discussing learn what a fucking fight is first then u can say we where fighting and make fun of us u idiot.

  • @TheTemplarnight ........? I wasn't making fun of you, just saying you where fighting which can be a synonym for arguing, and from what you where saying and your tone you are in no position to call people idiots. All Im saying is we owe those who died fighting the axis regardless of nationality.

  • @cozygoth we where not fighting nor agruing we where simply discussing about it. if we where arguing it wouldn't end with him saying oh okay i didn't know or something along those lines.

  • The soviets and nazi's were both bad as each other, the soviets were just slightly less bad and were fighting the germans so they became the allies

  • @fdsdh1 yes. and the best allied, by destroying over 75% of german war machine.

  • Why would they defend a city whos name bears a man who murdered millions of their own people?

That's like saying I'm going to fight for Anders Breivikgrad.

  • @wrathofvengance67 we all toil and fight for governments that oppress us. The american presidents have killed millions of foreign civilians and stripped hundreds of thousands of innocent people of their rights

  • Because Hitler wanted Stalingrad, 'the city of Stalin', Thousands had to die day in day out. For Hitler this was just a game you see. He went mad with the power he had.

  • @leemanu94 iits more complicated than that. 6th army kept many Russian troops tied fown so that the Don troops could be saved. Hitlers Generals never quite understod that the soviets were poised to attack Europe in 41, Barbarossa saved Europe.

  • @leemanu94 sometimes i wonder if it was a good german general running the war instead of hitler would the end result still been the same? or would Germany have been today "liberating" oil rich countries totally Unoposed instead of america?

  • Think of the sickening reality of war. Flat out murder; like hunting humans. How could this ever be justified? This is a testament to the human mind's ability to twist and delude.

  • @sgtsnakeeyes11 you re so right, but leadership is responsible for convincing the masses

masses are responsible for going along

  • Man if I had a Russian gunman charge at eme, I would shit my pants

If I had a Nazi fanatic coming my way I would fucking run like hell

  • man they even had women fighting in the russian army? thats crazy! why dont we see women in the russian infantry today?

  • @thegrimreaper541 because they need to voluteer if they want to serve

  • @thegrimreaper541 that was such an emergency Everybody in Russia fought it was die fighting to protect their country or give up n be killed by the nazis they killed over 20M Russiand some reports say 30+M Russiand the nazis killed he reason they where happy to give uo to the americans than the Russians if they killed that many Americans Germany would Not exist today then again most Germans where Not nazis can't blame Germany for few facist

  • guys If japan didn't attack Pearl harbour n they attacked Russia how could Russia have survived? very brave as they are if Russia fell then it would a been Britaibns turn n by then they might a had the atomic bomb anyway but even without that they would have destroy3ed america too then a satistic Slavery on earth heard reports the Rothchilds made sure america entered the war cause they where promised a jewish state If that is the case my hat off to them they saved us all from a facist slavery

  • @polygamous1

USSR kicked japaneese ass hard in 1938 and 1939, they pissed to attack soviets.

  • @Scoutrussp7 seen Camp 731? was originally on the BBC n as i believe the BBC more than most others i had to view it few times first to accept it was real it was that shocking so WELL done USSR n USA in your wars in the Pacific u saved Millions from unimaginable sufferings pls God Nothing as bad on earth ever again

  • @polygamous1 you know that at the time atleast a quarter of the british army for the time was consisted of Canadian volunters or Canadian soldiers also it was the Canadians and British who where the first to land at D-day.

  • @TheTemplarnight sure man it was a lot of Canadians as for as many as a quarter i didn't know this but it was the British/Russians who fought the hardest of all against the nazis but on Omaha beach the american rangers also fought with extreme bravery too n in the pacific to be fair the americans fought briliantely too to think so many very brave men fought n died b4 they even had a chance to live their lives so sad n unfair

  • @polygamous1 u misunderstood my comment i meant that canada and britian was the first wave for d-day and that the british army at the time was a quarter or half made up of canadian soldiers so technicaly u dont owe britian u owe canada. without the canadian forces that joined britian. britian would have been able to do alot less

  • @TheTemplarnight ok thx for your help most countries did all they could to defeat facism many ausiies also fought very bravely against the japanese too it was a combined eford but i still believe Russia Britain n the usa where the 3 most responsible for the defeat of facism m not taking away anything from the polish airmen n others who fought alongside the british armed forces but God forbid if Britain lost the battle of Britain then what? scary

  • @polygamous1 britian was lossing the battle very badly until the Canadians voluntered to join their army. So honestly the Canadians did way more than the British did by far. and the the untold truth about the japense was that the austrailians where there first and they did all the very stealthy more dangerous missions than the Americans did and thats fact u can look that up on wikipedia if u need to. To find proof

  • @TheTemplarnight Wrong

  • @PatrickEngSU honestly all u said was wrong with no supporting facts so for 1: buzz off and come back with facts to back you 2: if you're going to say wrong prove it.

  • "...wanna know why they lost?"

    allied forces.

  • Germans had the best army in the world, but they were striked down anyway. For the second time.....God bless H.M Wilhelm II ( Frederick William Victor Albert of Prussia)

  • @janborrowitz They weren't the powerfull in every aspects.

  • @rucajuda they were

  • @rucajuda they were!!!!

  • @unrealassasination No they weren't !

  • @rucajuda They were..they were..they were! There tanks were 10x better then any other tanks of that time

  • @unrealassasination But i didnt say tanks i say every aspects they didnt have the best aircraft and navy.

  • @rucajuda there aicraft were 10x better for example: the ME 262, the first fighter jet ever used. Yet the Luftwaffe was destroyed thanks to the battle for britain and russia and constant factory bombings thus stopping aircraft production. and yes there navy was feared in the atlantic cuz the hed the best sub marines the U-boots. go to history class and you will know...wanna know why they lost?cuz they took on half of the world. If any country did a 1v1 germany would win

  • @unrealassasination Nope us vs germany would win easily cuz they were getting better and better over the days.

  • @unrealassasination

    "...wanna know why they lost?"

    Because they took on Russia.

Whilst your Allies floundered on the western front with some 90 German divisions we were annihilating 300 German divisions in the east - over 90% of Wermacht casualties were sustained on the Eastern Front.

It was total war, a war that you in the west no nothing about.

    Much like you

  • @avisionry i know man n thank God japan attacked the usa for if they also attacked Russia from the east then what? for me its Russia Britain n then america that defeated facism on earth as for Russia Bravery its unimaginable never been seen on earth since the 300 spartans n they came from the North always wondered where from, Now i know thank you Russia Britain usa too we all owe u our freedom

  • @polygamous1 they where not the only ones in the war so u owe alot more countrys than just that.

  • @TheTemplarnight sure But Russia n Britain where the two most vital in wining the war n the usa 3rd i know many countries fought bravely took the germans 6 weeks to take greece n a week to take france but i believe take Russia/Britain out then the nazis would have won

  • @avisionry dude, 700,000 Soviets perished in Berlin in a 12 day siege. 2 million died at Stalingrad over a 6 month period, but this was 12 days.

  • @wrathofvengance67 lot of people would debate those numbers..but its your opinion..

  • @unrealassasination right Germany never should have started in on Russia before he finished off Britan.think about it, where and how could the US have mounted D day from w/o Britan? their factorys would have been safe and thats how we won, the unbombed production of might of the US same goes for Japan too.We could bomb their factorys and ours were out of range. Oh the death on both sides, its sickening.:~(

  • @supertechmark didn't matter, stalin knew germany would eventualy come for russia, just happened sooner then thought because germany wasnt done with britan and it didnt make sense to fight on two fronts, hitler himself said it was foolish to fight on two fronts. so germany actualy did better then they could have if they waited on russia because they caught stalin off gaurd. but ultimatly germany was doomed IMO

  • Rushin' like a soviet

  • I have now and always had respect for the russians. No matter what the germans threw at them they seemed to soak it up and then come back from nowhere to win the battle. What was hitler thinking what a dick.I mean couldn't he see that the 6th army was walking straight into a trap.A brilliant move by the russians no wonder they are the best chess players in the world.

  • @rchrdbgi8 More than a million in casualties to defend a city because it was named after Stalin? Tens of thousands of civilians killed? Order 227? Sounds more like incompetence than brilliance on the part of the soviets.

  • @mch115 To defend a City?? or their own Motherland. do you have any idea what could happend if Germans captured the City?

  • If there was one battle in human history that I absolutely, positively, would not want to be in, it would be this one.

  • Plus in '44 Romania stabbed germans in the back when soviets were at their border, simply cowards who didnt want to fight, because they were afraid to lose.

There is nothing good in Romania its a gypsyland wich should be nuked to hell by civilízed nations so no more your gypsies would spread around world like cancer.

  • Using women in combat, how barbaric...

  • hitler was a mad racist but Allied should have helped him destroy russia. Europe would been saved from communism this way.

Anyway, as a Romanian, I'm proud that we took part as a major figure in the greatest war in history and that we destroyed stalingrad

  • @OperationBarbarossa2 hindsight is always 20-20, but the russians did fight about 80% of the german army, in smaller portions, so if we did that it would have been a totally different war, we probably would have won, but at much greater cost. Besides, we didnt want to make them enemies

  • @OperationBarbarossa2 you as a Romanian should be ashamed because, it was your people where destroyed in Stalingrad and made the encirclement of 6th army possible. When you saw soviets coming, most of your men simply dropped weapons and ran like cowards. Romanains were there only for the loot, but when they actually had to fight your "men" ran like bitches and cost 250000 german mens lives. (Operation Uranus)

  • @normison69 What? I seem 2 remember it was Adolf Hitler who refused to let the 6th Army withdraw and caused the defeat of Stalingrad. Why dont you look at the size ofthe Front the Axis Forces had to defend? The Red Army could have made thier counter-attack anywhere, The Axis were over extended and it was time for Stalin to make his move.

  • @normison69

They probably would have lost either way. The soviets would have easily broken through the flanks. I'm pretty sure that was even part of Soviet planning; they knew the flanks were practically wide open, namely because the Germans did not believe any counter attacks could possibly be assembled. The Germans lost their lives due to the incompetence of Hitler and the high command, trying to supply 300,000 encircled troops by air instead of breaking out.

  • @OperationBarbarossa2 Your stupid to say things like that "I'm proud that we took part as a major figure in the greatest war in history and that we destroyed stalingrad". Lets see you last one day in Stalingrad in the war. You would probably be crying like a bitch.

  • @OperationBarbarossa2 you didn't destroy it, you just pathetically died there in enormous numbers like rats, you fag romanian gypsies. Destroying Russia? You must nuts, no one can destroy us, we are THIRD ROME, the stronghold of the only true Christianity, GOD loves us, all of you damn heretics are too insignificant compared to us.

  • @gunzcontrol long live the red army

  • @FrankieJames7 red army? prrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!1!1!!!!1!1one1!

  • @MrCommunion and you are?

  • @FrankieJames7 a European

  • @MrCommunion good for you, a nazi i assume?

  • @FrankieJames7 the worst nightmare of every man

  • It was a clash between to super ego's ...if Hitler would have just focus on getting the oil out and leave the stalingrad ...then avoid a direct attack and flank them and cut of there supplies may be with in few month Soviet would have been surrender to Nazi and whole Russia might have been fallen but stupid Hitler decide to play tough ...Result ...around 3,00,000 were lost ..so that he can have a good feeling abt his ego ..stupid things to do

  • I had to stop watching after 24 seconds because I have a very low tolerance level for stupid bullshit. Hitler did not want to extent the 3rd Reich, he had to attack Russia in order to prevent them from running us over. Stalin wanted to make every country communist, he would have marched to the western border of europe had Hitler not attacked him. What do you think the cold war was all about? Because Stalin only wanted to free Germany? Do your research folks!!!

  • @Freiheitskaempfer15 True enough, Stalin had a massive build up of forces on the western border and made impossible demands of Hitler, he wanted military bases in the west and wanted several eastern european countries to be given to Soviet

  • @Freiheitskaempfer15 Would that research include Hitler's specific intention's of creating Lebensraum in the east of which he laid out his intentions in Mein Kampf

  • @brownsey1 That's up to you but I'll summarise in a few words what the objective was, he wanted to connect East Prussia to the rest of the country, of course not with 1 road. If you look at a map, that little "island" top right corner was surrounded by polish land, some of which originally belonged to Germany, he wanted that back.

  • @Freiheitskaempfer15 So to get East Prussia back he decided to send his army on a detour via Moscow? Because Lebensraum included Soviet Russia and Ukraine

  • @brownsey1 Do you seriously think he wanted his people to live in Russia, a place that never belonged to us and often has terribly cold winters? Where's the evidence for that? Did he want the entire Russian country or just parts? I said "do your research" for a reason, don't believe everything they tell you in school and on TV, that's got nothing to do with research. I understand that you have limited possibilities if you don't speak German but I'm sure you can do better than this.

  • @Freiheitskaempfer15 What did you think he was going to do once the Western Soviet Union was conquered? Leave it for his army to merely occupy! He needed the raw materials the Soviet Union could offer to make, in his words, Germany "the most autarkic state in the world". Hitler held no qualms in forcing German labour to work in the east. In fact under "Generalplan Ost" drafted by SS Standartenfuhrer Professor Konrad Meyer German farmers & settlers were to establish utopian farming...

  • @brownsey1 Are you aware that Prussia was located in the north-eastern part of Poland? Before Soviet Russia invaded Poland in 1939/40, that is.

  • @Freiheitskaempfer15 Yeah I'm aware of the geography of the time alright!

  • @brownsey1 You were lying in 1 of your last 2 comments. "What did you think he was going to do once the Western Soviet Union was conquered?" Obviously, no conquering of western Soviet Union going on. He even made a pact with Stalin (in 1937 I believe). Until it became obvious that Stalin was going to roll over entire Europe to the western border.

  • @Freiheitskaempfer15 Eh right so Operation Barbarossa in June 1941 was Hitlers idea of a friendly scrap! Basically I'm thinking you've no real idea about any of this predominantly because you don't even know that the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact was in fact signed on the 23rd of August 1939. I'm not being pedantic but there's two years in the difference on that one.

  • @brownsey1 I'm talking about the Hitler Stalin Pakt. If it was signed 2 years later by 2 different man it's still the same thing, I also said I wasn't sure. Operation Barbarossa was to PREVENT! Do people still read these days? You had several hundred kilometers difference earlier, I still replied didn't I? Even though it seems obvious you have all your info from Wikipedia, TV and School. Had Hitler not invaded Russia would have build up more momentum and marched all the way to the ocean.

  • @Freiheitskaempfer15 This is utter nonsense. Stalin was devoted to his alliance with Hitler - he gave the Nazis facilities that he never gave the western Allies even in the darkest hours for the USSR. The reason the Soviets attacked Poland, Finland, Romania and the Baltic States was because of the alliance with Hitler. Stalin had wiped out his high command in 1938 - that is not the sort of thing that one does before launching an attack.

  • @Freiheitskaempfer15 The Hitler - Stalin Pact is the Molotov - Rippentrop Pact! It's also known as the Nazi - Soviet non-Agression Pact but they were all signed on the same date because it's the same bloody thing.

  • @Freiheitskaempfer15 And you seem to love telling me where I get my info. Well I can tell you it's certainly not Wikipedia. And wherever you get your info from it's definitely not credible, either that or you're just deluded. As a matter of circumstance yes Germany had to invade Russia in the summer of 1941 before it was too late. However that doesn't mean it was a preventative measure to protect her sovereignty. Both sides held imperialistic ambitions of European domination...

  • @Freiheitskaempfer15 ... long before the outbreak of war! Your argument is unproven by numerous speeches, writings etc. where Hitler specifically states his intentions of creating an empire solely on the basis of invading and occupying the Western Soviet Union. This is long before the Hitler - Stalin Pact, long before Operation Barbarossa.

  • @brownsey1 If there is so much evidence for your claim, surely it won't be a problem to support it with 3 sources that aren't quoting each other? How do you think Germany fed itself from 1933 to '39, if we needed Russia's resources so badly? If Hitler himself even said that you will find some sort of evidence for me within minutes won't you?

  • @Freiheitskaempfer15 So are you disputing the idea of Lebensraum then? The main premise of Nazi foreign policy was built around securing "living space" . It was in the East & Russia that they sought to establish an empire based on race, in which those of Aryan descent would rule over lesser Slav subject races. The most comprehensive source for this is Mein Kampf! But I suppose you could also read numerous books by leading historians. e.g. Hitler's War or The Foreign Policy of Hitler's Germany

  • @Freiheitskaempfer15 Oh and as for feeding Germany from 1933 to 1939, well yeah they probably did have enough food for that. However they didn't have enough food to feed the entire Reich. And at the time of Barbarossa this included pretty much all of Western Europe. Hitler stated this in 1939, "It is not Danzig that is at stake. For us it is a matter of expanding our living space in the East and making food supplies secure and also solving the problem of the Baltic states."

  • @brownsey1 What are you talking about? Western Europe was NEVER part of the Reich? I really doubt you are into this topic, don't watch 3 documentaries and believe you know it all. Where did he say he wanted Germans to rule over slave subject races? That is true bullshit. What are your sources for all those quotes? I also told you that I am done with these stupid time wasting comments under this video, obviously you're not interested in a conversation therefore PLEASE DO NOT REPLY.

  • @Freiheitskaempfer15 Well I'm going to reply to that because obviously you're an ignorant shit! The so-called thousand year Reich lauded by Hitler incorporated Western Europe after the fall of France and the Low Countries you moron. And "slave subject races", it's "slavic"! Try and read a bit more and then maybe you'd know a bit more, I mean come on, you didn't even know when the non-agression pact was signed, never mind the fact you thought the Nazi-Soviet, Hitler-Stalin pact was the same thing

  • @brownsey1 The fact that you're moving on to personal insults tells me a lot, and it also says that I'm right, otherwise you wouldn't need that :). In school they called it Hitler Stalin Pakt, a name that seems suitable considering that it was a pact between Hitler's and Stalins country. To rule over subject beings is the idea of slavery is it not?

  • @Freiheitskaempfer15 Sources, Hitler specifically stated this to Carl Burkhardt, the League of Nations commissioner in Danzig in August 1939. You'll find this quote in numerous books my friend. It took me a few minutes but here's the specific page number of the exact books... The Stalinist Empire by Ted Gottfried, Melanie K. Reim pg 86 or maybe you could try The Origins of Major War By Dale C. Copeland pg 135 to be exact!

  • @brownsey1 Obviously I don't own those books, why would I read what the winners have to say about what happened? That's a little disappointing. Think about that for a second. Like I said, ask yourself if it makes sense to say something like this. Use your own brain. That being said, I am done replying now. Read my message if you feel like it, then be happy and go your own way, I will stop crossing it just as much as I expect you to stop crossing mine, like I stated in that message. Thanks.

  • @Freiheitskaempfer15 Obviously you don't own many books my good man. Well maybe you own a few copies of Der Stürmer but that's about it I'd say!

  • @Freiheitskaempfer15 This sums up Hitler & Germany's position in August 1939,"Everything I undertake is directed against the Russians; if the West is too stupid and blind to grasp this, then I shall be compelled to come to an agreement with the Russians, beat the West, and then after their defeat turn against the Soviet Union with all my forces. I need the Ukraine so they can't starve us out like in the last war."

  • @brownsey1 I can assure you that Hitler has never said this. I listened to a lot of speeches and it is very likely that in 1939, he still believed that Stalin wanted peace with him. Also, what is your source, where did you find this quote? But reading it, I can truly assure you that this has never been said, at least not by a German. And Hitler didn't need the Ukraine to prevent Germany from starving out, that is major bullshit.

  • @Freiheitskaempfer15 Insults, hang on now buddy? Firstly you called me a liar and stated my argument is "bullshit". What am I supposed to reply with hugs & kisses? Secondly you're the one who seems to have issues grasping the situation. The quote stated "starve us out like in the last war". Hitler didn't mean they literally starving at that time. He meant in a time of war, when resources would be strained the Ukraine could supply a plentiful bounty. If you read half as bad a you listen to...

  • @brownsey1 That might sound wrong, by not quoting each other I mean that one can't be listing the other one as a source.

  • @brownsey1 We both have a pretty good idea of your overall image of what happened. If you are interested in what I think and are open to listen to the other side, send me a message. There's no point in us simply exchanging but not discussing opinions or arguing about numbers, that's a waste of time.

  • @brownsey1 Hitler and Stalin apologists tend to forget the Molotov - Rippentrop pact. However had Hitler not attacked the Soviet Union, it would not have surprised me if the date of its signing had become a national holiday in both countries - as it allowed them together to start the war and their joint imperialist attack on other countries.

  • @Freiheitskaempfer15 ... communities to produce plentiful amounts of food for Europe. In Hitler's view a similar process would "repeat itself for a second time as in the conquest of America". The Soviet Union was the only realistic source of food & raw materials for Germany and it's then western European Empire. And as for saying "a place that never belonged to us". It that a justification considering Western Europe, Poland & Czechoslovakia were already under Nazi dominion!!!

  • @Freiheitskaempfer15 Utter nonsense. Hitler attacked Czechoslovakia, Poland, Denmark, Norway, Belgium, Holland, France, Yugoslavia and Greece before he broke the alliance with his good ally Stalin and attacked the USSR.

    Do some research.

  • @alanheath No research needed for that, its in Wikipedia which is probably your main source of misinformation.

  • @Freiheitskaempfer15 No, I think I knew that long before the internet was invaded. But I see your point. Don't bother researching anything when you have an agenda to put forward. As for me, I prefer to research rather than to make things up.

  • My brother told me that if Stalin lost Stalingrad, Stalin would had killed his own commanders.

  • @vonPruts Stalin did kill his comanders. That's one of the reasons the Red Army sucked so bad, most of the officers had been executed even before the war started. Zukhov was the only top general that had survived.

  • @vonPruts your brother is gay, thats' why he says bullshit

  • @vonPruts Yes he would have!

  • @vonPruts Yes he would have!

  • @vonPruts He did that kind of stuff anyways.

  • The advance in russia was just amazing....just beating the weather and logistics of equipment is unbelievable hard task

  • Hitler was the most amateurish bluff of a military commander in history. Had a capable general ran the show, the world would be speaking German today...
