This movie truly moves me as they are willing to give their lives to save billions from extinction. This is what hero's are made of. The music can be put to any of our brave men and women who stand in harms way to protect the freedoms we so enjoy. Honor the brave, the strong and the courageous. This is certainly my new favorite piece, far and above all else.

Music with just heart.. intrumentals and passion...versus opinions and corrupted minds.. All music is great but intrumentals make you think and feel something that is indescribable..

I feel alot of the times music with vocals is ok and very pleasant.... but of course man or women singing may have alot of faults and they use their own minds which can be very earthly and ignorant... when people use just instruments i feel this is the only real music that counts

@boxing7717 depends really. music is all expression, and while some "music" is simply garbage and nonsense, mostly it all has a place. Rock & roll has a place, pure instrumentals have a place, opera has a place, reggae has a place. It's all about what it tries to make you feel and how well it does it.

You wouldn't play this at a party or birthday or wedding for example, but it conveys the emotions youre meant to feel during that scene, listening to this piece, amazingly well.

Check out watch?v=Al5ji8zagv8 though. Here are 2 fantastic pieces of music, but different from this and each other in how they they make you feel(make me feel anyway). And both would be very incomplete without vocals. I know what youre saying when you say peoples minds can be flawed and earthly and it can affect their singing. It all depends of the singer though, and voices can often be the most powerful part of music.

@boxing7717 A lot of the times I so agree with it. I prefer instrumental music, like much of the movie music that's out there. But there are times when they use really badass choirs like in Beowulf, where they chant with deep voices. Such warrior music!

This song, sums up the whole meaning of the movie and the purpose of those brave people aboard Icarus II. Thier whole life's meaning, to save man-kind and all life on earth...Its a song that means something greater than what is comprehendable. Beautiful, masterful, soulful, theres nothing like it.

@Adastra14 i totally agree. it was almost like a stage play, where the different crew members brought a different philosophical (or pragmatic) perspective to the mission. I loved the concept of how they are humanities last hope, but are at the same time all alone. The movie was a beautiful essay on courage, sacrifice and the value of the individual vs the group. For me this song really captures the essence of the selfless struggle and sacrifice as they return to their true maker - the sun.
