and so did Wayne Brathwaite, especially with the Bass lines, but when you pass away people tend to try and grab more credit from you than they deserve
This is the "Pre-Pop" Kenny G. (smile) No doubt the imput from the "80s Super Producer" Kashif greatly influenced his early music. This was his best LP by far to me. Very soulful, upbeat and tight basslines. Tribeca, Do me right, I've been mising you are also three great tracks from this LP
Kenny G just keeps on getting better the more I explore into his rich and varied music history. I never knew this song existed. This and Tribeca seem to have a similar style. Fantastic "waiting room" music. I wish every office could have this guy playin THIS 80s jam stuff in the background.
Great track. I think Kashif helped him on these albums. I recognize those bass lines anywhere. I respect Kenny's later direction into pop but for me these early songs are his most soulful and best. Love the lyrics at 2:38, classic.
I would love to hear vocals from "The Kash."

You can tell its Kashif, he is the one that started that high hat/kick drum trend and 99.9999% of his tracks have it.
