I was a banker in Palm Springs and had the opportunity to see Bob often. He walked his dogs on the streets just like regular folk.

I met Mr. Hope and shook his hand in Aug. 1989. I have his autograph I was 21 and fresh out of the Army. I'm glad to have had that experience. We were asked not to shake his hand ...I did it anyway I was not about to let that moment pass me by.

Hope owned a hell of a lot of California, something my dad always pointed out to me.
