  • papa shango used to scare tha shit outta me bk in da day ! :s

  • Davey Boy Smith looks like a spade

  • Warrior's picture looks like a painted up housewife. lol

  • @badguy95 lmao

  • Hey I bought this again, and with all of the nostalgia...the game is dated as fuck, slow and clumsy controls. Not fun...the selection screen is the funnest part

  • R.I.P Randy I Loved And Saluted You As A Kid

  • @45loconder me too i know hard to say good bye R.I.P

  • @Darklurkr it was one of his theme songs. R.I.P. Randy.

  • I had this game and played it 100s of time and never once did i choose to play with British bulldog

  • Ultimate Warrior theme= Tetris new theme

  • I WANT TO PLAY SEGA AGAIN!!!!!

  • Why was Randy Savage's theme Pomp and Circumstance?

  • @Darklurkr thats was his theme song

  • @Darklurkr For OOOOOOOH YEAH Reasons

  • I liked the SNES version better. Too bad Ultimate Warrior, Shawn Michaels, IRS, British Bulldog and Papa Shango weren't in it. That would have made one epic WWF game at the time.

  • SHAWN MICHAELS THEME was it sherri version or the crappy own sang theme

  • @bookertsucka02 It was Sherri's version from 1992-95. In my opinion i still prefer the one with Shawn Michaels vocals from 1995 onwards.

  • @kiltsonfire164 *jaw falls down* thats you're opinion well, thats not my my decision so if you like own sang i prefer S.H.E.R.R.I version

  • this brings back happy memories.....Shawn Michael's theme was the Sh*t. LUV IT!!!

  • warrior's theme is best

  • Hogan's theme sounded like a sonic stage :D

  • I loved IRS's character. I used to have nightmares of someone demanding I pay my taxes. Thanks to him my 401(k) sucks.

  • I wouldn't say they're all shitty. A few of them sound pretty good for Genesis standards, although there's not much of a way you can make IRS's theme good, no matter what standards you go by. Unless maybe you were comparing to the Nasty Boys' WWF theme.

  • didn't Papa Shango come to the WWE in 92 isn't this game in 91 how was he in this game?

  • @largest85 No, this game came out in 92 right after WM 8. The SNES version came out at the beginning of 92 before WM, which is why Warrior and Shango aren't in the SNES version.

The SNES itself didn't come out until around Thanksgiving/Christmas of 91.

  • This is better then the snes version

  • Papa shango was the dude from Nation of domination ?

  • I know this game came out in 1992 and all but the music is just awful. The music for Super Wrestlemania on NES from 1990 is better than this.

  • Just seeing HBK and Million Dollar Man on the same screen is EPIC!

  • Why is 'Ultimate Warrior' a registered trademark, and everyone else is just a trademark?

  • @WizzyKidCreations Because Jim Hellwig (who portrayed Ultimate Warrior) legally changed his name to Warrior around this time, there it's registered. The other names are simply trademarks of the WWF/WWE, so being a WWF game they didn't need to put the registered sign on the other names as everything in the game was already registered, apart from 'Ultimate Warrior'. Hope that helps.

  • I love the British Bulldog's theme!!!

  • I dont think IRS ever had a theme music

  • @gogotero99 He did actually. His "music" was the type-writers, and he used the Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase's theme when he was part of Money Inc.

  • @NewKokujinOptions And the Million Dollar Corporation.

  • @NewKokujinOptions I knew that he used to use the Million Dollar man theme, but when he was solo, I never heard him with any music.

  • @gogotero99 Yeah, he never really had "music", just the typewriter noise.

  • @NewKokujinOptions IRS never had type writer music. Its all fake. He only used Dibiase's theme or he had non theme.

  • british bulldogs sounds like something out of sonic

  • Papa Shango's sounds like something from Mortal Kombat 2. Kind of like the Armory stage.

  • the theme of Papa Shango sounds like Mortal Kombat

  • the theme of Ted Dibiase sounds god ^^

  • this sounds like music for the nes

  • C'mon, we all know that I.R.S. had the best entrance music! :-D

  • i like HBK's theme the best

  • hbk all the way

  • This is major Nostalgia.

  • british bulldog theme in this game is the best

  • If Bret were in this game, I can't imagine how screwed up the Sharpshooter would be, considering how badly done the finishers in this one were done. The Million Dollar Dream is some weird hitting move, HBK's Teardrop Suplex just looks like a leg hook vertical suplex, Bulldog's powerslam just looks like the body slam with a pin, Savage's flying elbow drop looks screwed up, ect.

  • I wonder why they didnt have bret hart in it

  • ha i remember this game from wen i was a kid i use2 find it so fun lol

  • i remenber that game you could do the finishing move like a hundred time a match

  • Can you imagine the kids of today brought up on Playstation's, Xbox 360 etc having to play these sort of games with the graphics and music lol..

  • Ultimate warrior theme sounds like something you would hear on Road Rash :D

  • absolutely true.. lol

  • YES

  • @Andyc18 Haha, what an awesome game Road Rash was.

  • i wanted to play this version because the SNES version was SO slow and clunky!!!!

and while Sega games had less color and usually DORKASS sound (like this one...) the controls and animation were always smoother and faster!

  • I've got this and it still works.

  • maybe Bret was slightly bigger than Bulldog..even as a 2-time IC Champ, Bret wasn't all that...

maybe cause Bulldog at that point could mix it up, either with the "skilled" wrestlers as well as the "heavyweights" and "main event heels"...you'd have to ask the developers.

but Bret was not bigger than Hogan, Savage, or Warrior...not even close, I don't care how skilled of a wrestler he was in comparison...those 3 defined the class of pro wrestling during that time period.

  • I Love HBK's theme on this one... IDK why...lol

  • Any selection screen that combines the coolness of Irwin R. Shyster and Papa Shango is enough to make your TV explode.

  • Bret wasn't in this one or the one that came out for SNES...probably to make the game even 4 faces & 4 heels.

4 heels: Dibiase, HBK, IRS, Shango

4 faces: Savage, Hogan, Bulldog, Warrior

Other than Bulldog, Bret wasn't bigger than any of the other faces at that time.

    SNES had 5 faces & 5 heels.

5 heels: Jake, Undertaker, Earthquake, Typhoon, Dibiase

5 faces: Savage, Hogan, Sid, Hawk, Animal

I don't think Bret was bigger than any of those 5 faces either.

  • but when this game was made wasnt bret the ic champ and had done more than bulldog at this point

  • I want to hear the menu music.

  • k smackdown416 what r u talking about? i'm not sure u know what ur talking about

  • haha this game was hilarious i loved it

  • I remember thinking this music was awesome and sounded just like IRL lmao!

  • even on this video game HBK's theme sounds brilliant.gr8 song

  • Am i right in saying that this game came out not too long after Wrestlemania 8?

  • Why wasnt BRet HArt in this game?

  • in 92 Bret won the ic title at mania.. people definitely knew who he was, he was a bigger star than half the guys in this game

  • Actually he was. At summerslam 91 he beat Mr. Perfect for the IC title in a great match. And then won it again at mania 8 in 92, and had one of the greatest all time matches at summerslam 92 against the bulldog. And going to win his first WWF Championship over Ric flair in October of 92.

  • he wasn't bigger than half the faces, i mean for crying out loud dude... Bret was absolutely under NO circumstances bigger than Savage, Hogan or Warrior... even if he was a better wrestler than 2 and a half of those...

  • F*ck Bret! How about a Papa Shango vs. IRS on PPV! That sounds dandy!

    (Just kidding!!)

  • he won the royal rumble,he beat ric flair,mr perfect and even more he was one of the top stars

  • who?

  • bret hart

  • when this game was made bret hadnt won the royal rumble yet

  • yh but he was still popular, like randy orton, only popular superstars win rumbles

  • Mega Drive was an amazing computer, I was a Mega Drive boy myself, never played SNES. I think the Mega Drive handled guitar sounds well, the themes on the wrestling games sound great on it and on games like Road Rash too.

  • i used to have hbks theme on my phone back when you could create it yourself and it sounds like this one

  • lame music..better on theSNES

  • I agree, Snes was always known for superior music.

  • Ted DiBiase's was incredible for 16 bit glory!

  • hah, sounds like the Ultimate Warrior theme is being played on a Hammond organ. Was Al Kooper involved with this? ;)

  • Irwin R. Schyster's theme sounded demoted

  • actually there was like, no music.. just a rumbling

  • wow ultimate warriors theme actually sounds good here despite it only being 16 bit machine

  • I'm sooooo about to hook up the sega and play this!! I loved hbk's theme here!!

  • I love how the only difference Shawn Michaels' music has seen in the past 16 years was when it went from Sherri singing it to him singing it himself. Timeless!

  • That HBK theme is the shit!

  • Shawn's music is bitchin.

  • Comment removed

  • Hey AWEDDDD Theirs more players Dumbass

  • No. It had more. Only 4 on screen... e.g. I.R.S

  • randy savages theme was like killing violins

  • one of the slowest and badest megadrive games. No action no speed no fun

  • i like genises roster better than snes...but this game was shit,so the roster didnt matter to me...:(

  • macho mans themes sounds like my farts at the start

  • lmao

  • wow, they should make ringtones out of all these themes. I wonder if anybody would want IRS's theme on their cell.

  • ive had this game for years and dont now how to do the finashers

  • I don't think they actually had their finishers in this game.

  • genesis version did have signature moves.

  • i rented this game once hbk was and still is my fav

  • Ah, memories. First game I got for the Mega Drive. I remember Ultimate Warrior's finisher looking ridiculous and being easily avoided with a tap of the direction button, and the game being incredibly difficult. Maybe I was just crap.

And for those who have said it already, I agree: IRS' finisher was impossible to do.

  • This music sucks, and I'm a fan of old school game music. Whoever converted these tunes to the Genesis soundtrack sucks.

  • The warrior theme is annoying.

  • 16 bits..lol...Now youre playing with power

  • if anybody knows how to do a finisher and pin on this plz reply

  • these games always made a lot of fun...

  • hahaha the music rocks! LOL! xD

  • Gameloft should remake this on the cellphone (It is possable to play games on your cellphone).

  • HAHAHAHA... I remember this,

  • hehe mega drive was such a pile of poop!

  • Bulldog greatest wrestler of all time!!!

  • lol I remember this game.. I used to pick Papa Shango and KILL this game!

  • Shango was koooool, I found it really crazy when I found out he's the godfather lol

  • wow im 20 and looking at this makes me feel old but at the same time I remember being a kid so warm thoughts all around and hearing sexy boy and seeing my hero 17 years ago is awesome it goes to show he was in it for love and not money. Im from Montreal and I love Shawn Michaels!

  • lol warriors music was dead on, awesome!

  • I am a real american, fight for the rights of every men,i am a real american, fight for your right, fight for your life XD

  • This was my first wrestling game! I loved it ^^

  • same here i remember the day ma brother brought it home royal rumble were next one i got

  • lol i love hogans theme

  • papa shango left gwf

  • I have Super Wrestlemania for the SNES and could never figure out how to do the finishing moves. Are they even in the game?

  • ImportKnight13 the SNES version of WWF Super Wrestlemania does not have finishing moves. The Sega Genesis version has finishing moves.

  • Oh, ok, thanks for the reply.

  • i got this game when i was young and i still playing it

  • I got it when I was young too but beat it over and over again. when the next wrestling game came out i was ready for a change.

  • damn, i was a child and playing this game. maybe 1991 or 1992 good days

  • Ted Dibiase's music made most sense to me...

Money Money Money Money Money eyey ey HAHAHAHAHA

  • Ted dibiase had the best song...Million DOllar Man... Hell Yeah!!!...

  • I just want to hear the game theme only

  • anybody ever realize macho man's theme was the graduation song?

  • Master of the obvious

  • yes!

  • duh

  • shawn michaels music sounds like a japenese song

  • IRS theme... FTW! If I ever wrestle, i'm coming out to that theme... the WWE Wrestlemania for Genesis, IRS theme.

  • doing the write-off was a pain in the ass to do.

  • wat was the write off anyway cause he had an stf as his finisher but not on the game

Shangos theme still freaks me out any1 else? shango was by far the most fun 2 play as the mega drive genesis vers is far better than SNES

  • The Write Off was I.R.S.'s flying clothesline, which I believe was his real finisher. I don't recall I.R.S. ever using an STF.

It was damn hard to pull off in the game.

  • He did use the STF for a while around 1994.

  • He never use at STF as IRS but in the OLD days of the NWA he did

  • He used the STF as a finisher against jobbers.

  • Bulldog's sounded the coolest...

  • lmao at dibiase face.lol

  • shawn michels is the best

  • it funny cuz in the game u can hit da ref and when u hit him 2 much he walks out

  • classic music! lol!

  • I had this game. I found it funny that Savage used a dropkick on here but not "in real life",lol. And that theme music, lol.

  • Anyone else think it'd be funny to see Papa Shango vs Boogeyman?

  • i remember i'd be like WTF when IRS' music would come on

  • I was just thinking, maybe it sounds like a terrible recording of an accounting calculator, lol.

  • damn, i used to have this game. good memories, awesome music.

  • Damn I use have this games on saga...

  • this shit is the best ever. I have never played this game, but now i want2

  • did anyone of you know that Godfather was Papa Shango???

  • I know it already!!!!

  • he was kama to

  • yeah he was Papa Shango Kama Mustafa The Goodfather and The Godfather

  • and shango through fireworks in the undertakers face. honestly! simply type in undertaker vs papa shango! and that proves it

  • also simple look at his tattoos the same that the proof

    I'm PaddyDragon23 btw

  • papa shango is godfather they have the same tatoos

  • Charles Wright did play both papa shango and the godfather.

  • That's true. 1st he was Papa SHango, then Kama Mustafa, then Godfather.

  • and kama mustafa and RTC Goodfather
