  • Early '90s...Manchester's little International club...Edwyn playing this, leaping on the monitors...you could cry to remember him like that.

  • @AK2927 I think the darkness of the room makes it hard to tell, but Lovesickblueboy says this show was just before his illness (in 2005), and you say early 90's. Personally, I don't know what to believe, except it seems to me he's prolly older than you think, but younger than what the other member believes.

I could be totally wrong, but from the look of it, I'd say middle to late 90's. Maybe you know for a fact cos you were there or smth. I don't know.

  • @daypeshmodd this gig was 2 july 2004 at the ICA in london. the magic numbers supported - you can see pics if you google it. AK2927 must be talking about a different gig

  • @nasratfatty Thx! I'll look it up.

  • still the grooviest song...almost a secret passion for me..........

  • I gotta say that I never really dug anything else that the OJ did but this... this has to be one of the best pop/rock songs ever written.

  • This was Edwyn's last gig before his illness.

    Magic Numbers supported.

So pleased he is now back in the studio recording and producing.

  • salmon fishing in newyork classic album, great track

  • going to see him on sunday!

  • @pfmaple - all available on CD - Amazon for Orange Juice or Edwyn Collins. And fill yer' boots!

@secretstummer. Au contraire. Edwyn's still playing - saw him last week (November 07) - an inspiration!

  • Does anyone know how to get this stuff on CD? Looked here in Australia and in Canada and the U.S. Thanks so much to whoever uploaded this!! I agree it's one of the highlights of the genre - with The The type vocals and lyrics and totally unique music. Also catch Edwyn on the Whistle test DVD series, but not this track!

  • Fantastic, I love this track, one of my favourite Orange Juice/Edwyn Collins songs... when when released it should have charted much higher then just scrapping into the UK top 50, but alas

  • This song is my all time '80's favourite.I would continually try to "convert" friends to Orange Juice, and even today I get young friends "discovering" Edwyn Collins like I'd never heard of him....

  • I love Edwyn's songs - never saw him live and so sad we probably now never will again. Thanks for posting this.
