  • This video is popular on Male

  • hey the inverted row is a great exercise. its even harder doing them on roman rings

  • Oh my I am around the strange a part of Youtube yet again.

  • @gusmcleod922 This ain't the strange part of youtube.

  • @gusmcleod922 No your not ._.

  • i like this guy more than scott herman he teaches more detail and informative

  • great workout, been doing too many pull ups and pull a muscle in my back, now have to take a break from pull ups for two weeks

  • That's one variation - pullups from rack. Seven is grossly exaggerated

  • @jdcav24 hey Jeff people are telling me that if I do these they will give you how you say "bitch tits" and will not help your chest is that true?

  • ur still using a bar !!! -___-

  • at 3:00 i usually just add a 10lb plate on my chest. i do the same things with push ups but instead i use a 25lb plate.

  • bulletproof chest!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

  • hey Jeff I do this at the gym all the time but without the variations, I lower the bar each set and rest a weight on my chest for extra resistance, does this have any major effect or is it better just using body weight.

  • hey Jeff I do this at the gym all the time but without the variations, I lower the bar each set and rest a weight on my chest for extra resistance, does this have any major effect or is it better just using body weight.

  • awesome. all of it counts

  • I want your shoes.

  • I did this in the gym today:) thanks Jeff keep it up!

  • bullet proof neck please?

  • I definitely did this on a pull up bar upside down and my bestfriend thought I was crazy because my legs was behind the bar and i was pulling myself up with really short fast bursts. But hey I love the new variations, I have not done all of those, I'm going to try the static hold! Looks fun!

  • Very nice tips!

  • Right on dude.

  • Keep it up Jeff

  • na its fun

  • This shit is done for prisoners.

  • thank you SO much. my neighborhood's gym doesn't have a pull up bar or a pulldown machine, and this will help me towards being able to do a pull up!

  • Is this for lats?

  • I have done/do those last 2 exercise's with a pull-up bar before seeing this video. They are great exercise's' and you really feel it in your core, arms, lats, and your lower chest if your arms are wide apart. You show the best exercise, which need the simplest of things, great vid man (:

  • "Even if you don't have access to an Olympic Bar you can easily perform this killer back exercise at home by using a shovel, golf club, hell even a microphone stand supported over the back of two chairs, couches, etc."

If you don't have a shovel, golf club, or mic stand you can use a table, desk, or counter top that allows you to extend your legs underneath. Just make sure the table or desk doesn't tip over when you go to pull yourself up. Doing pull ups on these surfaces also works grip strgth

  • it's funny cause most people who don't have pull up bars don't have smith machines either..lols

  • @MrCalintx I used a couple of chairs and an unloaded bar - works just as well.

  • Thanks for this video. perfect for the home gym.

  • Stupid 1 dislike. Get outta of here douche.

  • great excercises jeff!! hey is there a way to do decline bench press without having a bench. i cant afford a bench and was wondering if you have some alternatives

  • I'm currently in my 2nd week of AthleanX and already starting see my muscles starting to pop out a little more. great stuff Jeff.

  • @Ahrataza2 Can you private message me, about what atlleanX exactly is?

  • bulletproof calves

  • How old are you jeff?

  • neck?? whats with the neck everybody here commenting??

  • WHAT IS THE NAME OF THE INTRO SONG..PLEASE ANYONE KNOW?!

  • @BabyGsus7 ummm? the athlean x theme....

  • @Greendaydx i tried that but its not it :(

  • I wanna order some athleanx shoes

  • i was preety surprised when he did it without his legs

    about the neck??

can you do it bullet proof withi neck?

will it even be bulletproof with a neck?

  • bulletproof calfs!

  • @1stphoenix2k7 calves...

  • whos ur camera man

  • @bso3131 wife or daughter

  • Hey jeff,

Thanks for the tips - I am getting athlean x for my birthday ( aug 8 ) I am so stoked! My wife asked me what I wanted ... All I want is athlean x.

Also- I was thinking maybe you could do an athlean-x IPhone app. With the workouts and meals and everything- and/ or podcasts? Just a suggestion.

    Keep it coming!

  • wow some people seriously make me laugh how stupid they are....its gotta be some kind of joke

  • can we use 2 chairs and a hockey stick ?

  • dont use a golf club people it definitely will bend and u will ruin that expensive club

  • And if youre doing Bulletproof, do neck plz

  • Now i know why Athlean is a good system. Cuz they do it smart, and dont let you overtraining yourself

  • Doesnt this works chest too?

  • @14Zwing No. Pullup variations are pulling exercises that work back & bi's. If he was pressing the bar away from his chest, rather than pulling, that'd work the chest.

  • can you do bulletproof glutes next?

  • You are a genius Jeff and I praise your creativity!

  • Awesome, Jeff! Impressed, my man!!

  • YOU ARE AWESOME!!

  • MAKE MY NECK BULLET PROOF

  • Great videos Jeff< i've learned a lot. I would like to suggest a glutes workout

  • great exercises jeff......

but plz make a video of push up variations too ..... :)

  • thanks this is great help cause i cant finish 12 reps of normal pull ups

  • amazing and creative as always jeff thank you

  • Awesome variations of late exercises.

  • New meaning 2 calestanics exercises

  • I've done this exercise quite a few times and yes it is very VERY hard!

But i haven't done any of the variations that you showed other than the bent/extended legs and the one leg. I'll give it a try this Tuesday (day i work my back). Thanks for the video dude.

  • how long before I see results? I've been doing Athlean X for 7 weeks and still nothing except for building strength. But my belly and pecks are still flabby

  • @thebrinksf The answer is simple: your diets sucks OR you are not following ur diet!

  • @MaximusAdonicus My diet is awesome. I can't do the one on the program because i'm raw vegan. Now what?

  • @thebrinksf I'm not on the program, but if u haven't seen any results in 7 weeks then it's always about the diet. U must be eating lots of nuts and soy-products just to get enough protein...

  • @MaximusAdonicus I don't eat any nuts or soy-products. I've seen guys get toned on 801010. oh well. thanks for trying to help.

  • @thebrinksf Never heard of 801010, but I googled it. It's madness! That diet is only suitable to starving Africans or... animals. There's way too much carbs and there's a huge risk of "fructose overdose" by eating too much fruits every day. All the excess fructose turns into flab! And the same goes for carbs. There's hardly any chance of gaining muscle with that diet. If u'd up the fat intake to 20%, proteins to 30% and limit the fruit intake it would good - u could still eat as raw vegan...

  • @MaximusAdonicus Actually, it's the diet for growing gorillas and humans. it's about the only sane and natural diet out there. Carbs are what we live on primarily. The rest causes us disease if we get too much of it. You can't get an overdose when it comes to fruit carbs becaause it has fiber and guar that slow down the sugars unlike processed sugar in cooked starches. There have been many people who have gained muscle on this exact diet, I just need a good workout regimen. Thanks for the help.

  • @thebrinksf I find it hard to believe any of this and so would 99.9% of everyone else. The only thing I agree is that yes, it's a sane and natural diet... for monkeys. And everything causes disease if u eat too much of it!! That's not a problem with a normal or BB diet. And u already have a good workout regimen: Athlean-X. While I have not tried it, I wholeheartedly believe it's probably one of the best ones out there. Besides, practically all workout regimens work. Some work better than others.

  • @thebrinksf Follow the diet, i did the first five weeks before i hurt myself doing something unrelated, and with the diet i leaned up real quick

  • @IrishRhavin I can't because I"m raw vegan.

  • @thebrinksf Well thats a doozey...

  • I love your channel but shave your underarm!! Please!

  • What does this program suggest for younger ages? such as 13,14 etc. Right now all i do is situps on my bed and other .

  • @soocermaster9 This would be perfect for you man. Theres no reason why you couldnt do this at your age.

  • @chubbymedic1 Thing is, i have 0 equipment. thanks though.

  • This is useful!

  • Jeff you should make a video of a killer crossfit thumbs up so he sees this!!!

  • Comment removed

  • excellent exercise... I do this at the end of my workout for a burn up and it is great... we've had the same workout idea... :))

  • Jeff, you're a genius!

  • i've done all the variations but the suspension... can't wait to try it! nice vid...

  • Pretty sure a golf club would snap if i tried that.

  • @jika12 jeff does advocate cardio, however he stresses the importance of Burst Conditioning similar to HIIT rather than spending 40 minutes doing a long run!

  • @aztek you get more vascular the lower your body fat.

  • All those doubting Athleanx have no idea! The workout plan is without doubt the most challenging exercise plan I've ever done and with the cardio and diet plan included, the weight falls off! Jeff knows what he's talking about.

  • OMG 227 likes without a dislike i thought it was imposible !!!

  • Can youm make a video of how to get vascular

  • Nice bro .. I would like to get bullet proof fingers

  • bulletproof the neck please

  • @x1ofakind1x Jeff is the man and has an awesome physique, but I'm not sure I'd ask him for neck advice lol

  • @x1ofakind1x haha weak turtle neck.

  • Love Athlean-X, and keep these videos coming!

  • chest next time please

  • if im not mistaken, these are called Aussie Pull-Ups. g'day mate. 'nother shrimp on the barbie?

  • this is not for fat people? i mean come on

  • Comment removed

  • @jika12 it's all about becoming more athletic. if you got 0 strength and you're big ol' fatty, loose some of the fat to around 15% bf and then start training like this

  • @lorinthemaggot i understand that but his guy says u dont need cardio ,, he says its a 40min run to nowhere i cant place that?

  • @jika12 well, full body workouts where u do circuits challenges the body more than doing simple cardio such as running. he has shown variations for different levels of fitness, so I think and fat guy would be able, somehow, to the 1st variation of inverted row he has shown. It's all about progress.

  • @lorinthemaggot u think? i hope so i put all my trust in what you say !

  • @jika12 if you've been fat for a while and you're used to stay and do nothing, any kind of movement or sport will challenge your body so the first 10 to 15 pounds will be quite easy to loose, with a proper diet of course, and in short amount of time. it's all about dedication and motivation. if you really want to, you will slim down. the first weeks are really hard, after that it will be easier. but as he said, you must continuously challenge your body

  • @lorinthemaggot haha i scared u ?

  • @jika12 nah, it's just that i like to help people :P

  • @lorinthemaggot haha i understand its quite hard but what i dont get from these excersises how do u get a good stamina from this?

  • @jika12 in time and as i said, by dedicating yourself. by changing your lifestyle, by making this a passion, by loving to work out and by not stagnating. if an exercise gets easier, it means you got used to it and you must find another exercise that works the same muscle but harder so it can challenge you.

  • @lorinthemaggot

i used to be fat and i can tell u that 40 min run to nowhere has made me normal again and keeps me in shape and keeps my stamina great ,, u see that 40 min. run is harder than this and even more challenging ,, i work out with weights but before that u must do a hella lot of cardio and these videos arent the reallity !

  • @jika12 I've been doing the Athlean X and I can tell you that these videos "are" the reality! The reason Jeff gives you variations is to match the level your on, and grow as you grow. A beginner wouldn't be able to do all the variations. I just finished week 4 and I'm still doing the first variation he showed. I also started 30 pounds over weight and have been doing 40 to 60 min cardio and lifting weights for almost two years and lost no weight. I've already lost 13 pounds!!

  • @chopperjones1

well if u do cardio for that long i mean u run very slow i guess , i lost 10 kg in 3 months with only 20 minutes cardio 4 times a week eating normal !but i give everything when i run or cycle i mean if u dont push yourself to the maximum u wont loose anything cause ure just walking harder i mean its hard to explain somebody that runs 5 k 20 min. is not the same inpact to someone that runs it in 30minutes u get it

  • @jika12 No I do get it. I am a slow runner, I try running fast but it's not for me. I see one of my friends at the gym a lot and he RUNS and he's lost no fat at all. I tried Athlean X and it works for me. People are different. I never said running didn't work for you but you said that these videos aren't the reality. I was just stating that from a person actually doing the program and that tried running that Athlean X is giving me the results that running didn't.

  • @chopperjones1 oh ok yeah people are different i guess it has to do with your build , i guess mine is runner:P

  • @jika12 You are mistaken. Im not gonna tell you that running wont help you lose weight if you push it, But its better to focus on how you look more than what the scale says. HIIT, burst training, whatever you want to call it is much better for burning fat and retaining muscle than long slow cardio. This program and the exercises involved in it ARE the reality. When you can lose fat and the scale doesnt move, thats when you know its workoing like its supposed to.

  • @chubbymedic1 but how long would it take to get fit with this program i dont believe in 90 days?

  • @jika12 It all depends on what you mean by fit. If you mean in better shape for your health and getting better at the given exercises both muscularly and in the cardio pulmonary areas then you will get fitter in 90 days. If you are in the 15-20% bodyfat range you could very well wind up ripped, if you have alot more than that you wont be ripped but you will be alot healthier. No program will get you ripped in 90 days if you are morbidly obese.

  • @jika12 I saw a guy lose 96 lbs in 16 weeks, thats 4 weeks longer than Athlean x. Was he ripped? No but he weighed over 300 lbs when he started. He looked really good with a combination of HIIT, good eating and weight training. Was he fit? Hell yes. The man added years to his life by exercising this way. It wasnt this program but one very similar. If you are on the fence dont be, it really does work.

  • @chubbymedic1 haha u say with a combination of hiit thats cardio but this guy says cardio is useless thats the point i dont get over

  • @jika12 Thats why he gives different variations. The first one is for beginners and unfit folks fat or not. Is it easy? No but if it was you wouldnt gain anything from it. Dont knock it till you try it.

  • what about the pyramid burnout where u start at low weight...lets say ur at 250 u would start at 170 and rep it 10 times the 180 and rep 8 times all the way til u hit 2 reps then repeat the process in reverse thats a good workout for chest and arms i think but not for beginners.

  • L Sit pull ups are very challenging. I can only crank out about 5. I am trying to work on leaning out some. I love your stuff. My brother introduced me to you and I have been a subscriber since.

  • is trx okay for inverted rows

  • @BEAP96 i use trx out here in iraq, it works.

  • Bulletproof chest next please?

  • Cheers Jeff

  • Great stuff! Will try 2moro in the park.

    Thanks

  • you just change the difficulty level.......so these are not 7 pull up variations!

  • @WawaWhyT Actually smart ass, they are 7 different variations. What a fuckin idiot yo!

  • Most people wouldn't have a bar at home to do any sort of pullup anyway, let alone a barbell bar.

  • @Uouttooo you could just go to a playground, these exercises you can do perfect on those bars there( im not really english so i dont know the name of then)

  • @Uouttooo Hang a rope off your pullup bar and attach handles from some resistance bands to it. Hang there and do em. You dont need a bench and as jeff said, lay a broom stick over a couple chairs, a shovel, anything that will hold your weight. You dont need a bench.

  • @chubbymedic1

I said most people wouldn't have a bar and then you told me to hang ropes on something that most people didn't have? Next you are going to tell me to buy a Ferrari with money that I don't have, am I right?

  • @Uouttooo You can afford a 10 dollar pullup bar at walmart cant you? if you cant Im sorry that you are in that situation. But even at that, Jeff SAID use 2 chairs and a shovel across them, anything to simulate that bench with a bar. I merely told you what my solution was. Go look on scoobys workshop and see what he did for a pullup bar. There are ways to do it. Heck you can hang onto the edge of a table and do recline pulls. Ive done it. If you really want to do it you can find a way.

  • This is a fantastic demo of bodyweight use. I would replace the bench with a physio ball. This would make the exercise harder than bench especially with the one legged version

  • I reckon Jeff is right on the money. Ive been doing extreme bodyweight exercises for the last year or so and honestly I've become stronger and fast because of it.

Muscle Ups are the best kind of pull up/dip variation and weighted pull ups with the weight held in positions that arent usually relied upon, which fires up so many more muscles for the lift.

    Cheers Jeff

  • @boogier811 you don't know what you're talking about, inverted rows hit different areas of your back, and arms this as the title says isn't a pull up exercise, look through his other vids to see him do pull ups, & as for being a bitch I bet any money jeff would out do you at any exercise! Idiot.

  • gonna try the hold and no leg lift sounds crazy like i am

  • i like the different exercise variation to the standard back menu of low-pulley row, behind the neck pull-downs, etc.

  • hey jeff how did you set up that trx and what exercise is it for?? i have the trx and have seen that in a couple videos and tryin to figure out what it is

  • @Mackaframmalamma 7 Pull Up Variations WITHOUT A PULLUP BAR, read the title again it say without a pull up bar meaning you still use a bar just not a pull up bar.

  • another good thing for the mid back is anything dealing with punches, doing mma or anything else like that would get your back shredded

  • I wish i can get the athlean x program but i cant afford it :( i know its $67 but i dont a credit card and no money

  • we don't need a pullup bar, but we just need a straight bar... WFT ?!?!

  • @Multi9W2 you can use basically any kind of bar.. like he said a broom etc

  • @Multi9W2 You can use 2 chairs and some kind of bar between then ;)

  • @adamski9304 Them** lol

  • @adamski9304 great tip but i have a pullup bar

  • @Multi9W2 as in it doesnt have to bend at the sides like most pull up bars do

  • For that hardest variation, instead of just holding your legs straight out, you can do flutter kicks.

  • hey man make a video of how to get a good looking v line!

  • @ironmaiden540 check different variations of oblique crunches works great for me

  • @CailJSA ook thanks they really work ?? which?

  • hey man make a vidoe of how to get a good looking v line!

  • YOUR A LEGEND :)

  • these 7 variations, what muscles is it working on?....

  • @thisnappyboy upper back broski, the last one worked on core and back

  • Jeff is the new Jack LaLanne

  • Hey Jeff I dont know if you remember but I messaged you about a pool workout for the summer, just throwing it out there still would be awesome to see

  • jeff this video is amazing!!!!!

  • Can Make a show a few or list a few examples for teens to get a 6 back please, Ive tried to look for a while, But most of them dont work. :)

  • @boogier811 they are actually very good methods, especially if people like me are unable as of yet to do the "normal" pull up bar, im just over 20 stone and 6ft6 with physical medical issues, so this would be easier to get the power and strength into my body and then progress onto the pull up bar.

but if you are certain you know what your talking about, then i challenege you to produce the acion instead of sputing off and show us what your made of

  • @boogier811 Let's see you post a video doing 10-15 of each of the variations he mentioned without any rests. You might want to think before you speak. Jeff could very obviously toast you from any angle in the fitness/muscle building realm and he does these exercises....I think they work;).

  • I completed p90x, got good results, I was 245 lbs went to 176lbs now with a 31 inch waist, I do not have six pack abs, looking for workouts that are less then 30mins and get great results, I workout in my house, have a dip station, pull up station, can do some of these moves on the dip station, how much is axlean?? always looking for better faster ways to stay fit and would love to get a six pack, thanks for the videos

  • "Abs are made in the kitchen."

  • @vinrod34

I don't know your diet but for six pack abs it is essential to remove excess body fat in the stomach region, so fatty foods are going to hinder you as I'm sure you are aware. Also cycling can help shed that excess fat. Everyone has abs and a six pack but usually it is just small/covered by excess fat.

  • @vinrod34 Athlean is a $67 downloadable system where you get .PDF files transferred to your computer and all those files have everything. The meal plan, gym workout plan, home workout plan, etc. It's great.
