  • I believe you can swerve an esper charm because you make a choice on resolution and declare targets on casting.

  • at 4:00 can u really activate the ability from the ascension after the end step of his turn and before the beginning of your tutrn?

  • jou can swerf the charm even is draw carts , its target player draws a 2 carts

  • @powerup22 esper charm doesnt say target player draw 2 cards.

  • @powerup22 You can't Swerve Esper Charm's drawing ability since it has no target.

  • How do you use the planeswalkers? I have Liliana and I don't know what the -'s and the +'s are?

  • @azumarill111 + means that when you use that ability your planeswalker gains X loyality counters (ex: +1 Target Creature gains +3/+3 and flying) and - means your planeswalker loses X loyality counters when a plaeswalker loses all loyality counters it goes into the graveyard.. also when you have 2 planeswalkers of the same type they both die (in this video for example there's 2 ajani veneant at 3:11)

  • @azumarill111 If you look at the bottom right of the card, you'll see a number. Thats how many counters that plainswalker comes in with. The positive and negative abilities are what you can use to benefit you, or to screw with your opponent. When you use the ability, the number of counters goes up or down, depending on the number on the ability, and if its a negative or positive number. Liliana Vess comes out with 5 counters on her, so you would have to use her first ability three times to

  • @azumarill111(continued from last message) be able to use her last ability, which takes 8 counters to use. It does of course depend on what purpose the plainswalker serves in your deck, in mine, I have six. (2 Chandra Nalaar, 2 Sarkhan the Mad, 2 Lilinana Vess) Chandra to take out any Baneslayers that could be a pain to my dragons, and Sarkhan and Liliana are there to pull off a certain combo I have going for me.

  • I love american control....another reason that the planeswalkers are really good against the deck is that the walkers alot of the time just sit there and go off, accept for the every once in a while bolt or earthquake

  • POWER WALKERS!!!!1!

  • *gasp* ELSPETH!?

  • I really like how this deck works...I'm in the process of building a deck similar to this concept... 3 more jace belerens and I'm ready to go!

  • I was hoping you could do vampires as well.

  • Good deck! Very flexible and versatile.

  • Bryan, lets see some jund or bushwacker against your bant your building on further progress.

  • can we see this deck against an aggro deck?

  • Bryan,How Much For A Power 9 Pro Dragons Egg? Checked The Website. Cudnt Find A Price..

  • ture Fallout didn't do its job killing faeries. but my hexmage has killed so many plains walkers it's not funny.

  • Are you guys ever going to post more?

  • I would kinda like to see Planeswalker deck vs Jund Aggro, or have you already tested it?

If so, what was the match up like?

I know Jund Aggro is popular right now.

  • either everyone commenting are pro mtg players....or they are unable to see talent whn they see it

  • Whatever happened to "Don't ever be that douchebag" who reveals their hand after winning the match?

  • Yoshi, It has to be in context. This isnt a real game and there is no pride on the line. Nothing matters in these games. Many people had commented that the planeswalker deck would run out of threats. I was trying to show the viewers that the deck still had quite a saucy hand while still winning easliy. Pedro could care less what i showed since he just was piloting a deck.

  • Extremely bad match up for Pedro. He might as well have conceeded. T2 Ascension for him is GG.

  • Agreed. My modified SB should give me a much better chance. Up to four Negates with Goblin Assaults, Elspeths, and a total of four Sphinx of Jwar Isles between main and side.

  • If you play against this deck often enough, have some Telemin Performance hanging in ur SB. Then when you resolve it you can just LOL at his face.

  • The deck has creatures that you board in.

  • Like? Baneslayer? Even so, you would have given him a Baneslayer and probably have a good half of your deck in the graveyard. I'm not saying this deck is no good, just that Telemin Performance could probably be a good SB tech against suck decks...

  • himdering light too

  • That didn't make sense. If he had Sorin in his hand, why would he play Sorin, set his life to 10, and then auto win?

  • it was an auto win regardless.

  • That doesn't mean you should disregard the correct play.

  • Its hard to say what the correct play is. Its easy as a bystandard to say what is better or not, but he could have something in his hand that could potentially be worse. you could say that i didnt even have to cast sorin because he was dead regardless next turn. I only did it for the video because there wasnt much planeswalker going on.

  • BRYAN MORE VIDEOS :3

  • make a esper control deck please. im trying to make mine better

  • as always i enjoyed watching your videos. keep em comin!

  • i have an idea. leave the deck lists in the description please. i am very interested in the planeswalker deck that you played.

  • the deck is in another video. check that out.

  • Thanks for making another episoade

  • :P :P:P

  • just letting u know that the sound is "iffy" it cuts out a bit at the beginning

  • It cuts out"?

  • why didn't you play sorin first??????

  • Thanks for recording a game, but I'd like to see it against aggro since that's what most of the field is atm!

  • Alright bryan, this decks pretty good in this matchup, and im sure its possible to beat vampires. its a pretty good deck but i would expect this too see tournament play.

    good job.

  • The deck is fine. I went 3-1 again this week. Lost to goblins.

  • Why do you have to give everyone that actually watches your videos attitude and arrogance?

  • I dont give attitude and arrogance, i would actually retort to your message and ask you the same thing. Why do my viewers feel the need to lament every decklist i post as terrible and bad. Because a deck has a bad match up doesnt mean its a bad deck. I would ilke to see a standard deck that doesnt have a bad match up.

you wanted a video, I gave a video.

  • Jesus i just watch like all the videos on deckbuilders, and ive been really impressed with the elementals 5 cc b/u lark time seive and merfolk, and ive watched the fnm videos, i get alot out of your videos and take alot of them into consideration into making my decks.

ive been very happy with all your videos, i just think this deck is more of a flashy deck that wouldnt see tournament play, and if its not thats fine, its just everything else ive seen on here has seemed worthy of it.

  • Oh yeah thanks for quoting me :D

  • and bryan its not just a bad matchup, its a bad matchup with whats bound to be the most popular deck in standard.

  • Balll, I understand what you're saying, but metagames change and flow. Its like the tide of an ocean. It will come in and out and everything adapts. This deck is very good against slower mid range decks and destroys control mirrors. Is it bad against aggressive aggro? yes. but So war Faeries in Extended. The Zoo match up was ubsurdly hard, but it didnt change the fact that Faeries was a powerhouse in the combo and control mirror.

  • True true true , and this is the first deck youve made in the new standard format id assume and you cant really know what people are playing but jund and vampires seem to be the obvious choices.

like to see more videos cuz , this video was just pedro playing a jace.

  • your team puts in alot of hard work for the dedicated viewers and such prudishness from the non-dedicated fans should be ignored and i'm sure you do that.

Team Deckbuilders, you guys and gals are awesome and keeps up the great work. your team builds unique decks that should be appreciated, not bashed. ignore the mindless comments of the less talented net deckers.

  • @carthwolf

If you wanted to see that just go back a few years and look at the izzetron decks. Even tho they had no bad match ups they had no favorable ones either.

  • You have to test against Jund deck, its a impossible match

  • Board makes it easier.

  • Say it for me please.

  • You can board in 4x Purge and 3-4x Swerve. Hindering Light can also be used.

  • dd pedro go to pt austin

  • you guys rock keep the vids comming

  • always a fun watch, thx =D

  • why did you get rid of jace when ajani vengent came into play

  • Great vid, thanks for posting! and explaining.

  • Good vid ! LOVE decks running swerve would someone mind droping decklist links ?

    yours friendy Venator

  • um...

    Faeries >>>>>>>>>>>>>Planeswalkers.

you cannot compare the 'hosing' between these 2 decks.

Also, Planeswalkers is no where NEAR as powerful as faeries, and never will be. These two can never be compared. Ever.

  • Why not?

  • why didnt you play the Sorin Markov before you attacked and use his second ability ftw? :)

  • Hey do you think you can give me the decklist for this planeswalker control deck?

  • check my other vidoes.

  • Awesome vid man keep em coming.

    And that black planswalker rules
