  • Hi why uno/una and not el/la?

  • @nellngun

    un / una = a

    el / la = the

    They're just a little different.

  • My teacher has a lot of your videos on her class website and we watch your videos all the time. I often watch your videos on my own time as well. You're very clear and informative. Thank you so much!

  • how come there is two a's for papa?

    la chica lleva

    pepa llevaa

  • @liveindablink it is a typo/mistake. It only should be one "a"

  • in spanish from spain we say vaqueros instead of jeans and zapatillas instead of tenis

  • you are an amazing teacher

  • hes so cute........

  • good videos, but where is "vosotros/vosotras"?

  • This video is so helpful to me! Thank you for sharing. :)

  • using this verb with the sentence "yo llevo una camiseta" does it mean I wear a t-shirt or im wearing a t-shirt?

    P.S your videos are so helpful thanks!!

  • @brozmeister1

    That's a wonderful question... a lot of times in Spanish, the 'present tense' can be used for both "someone/something does" and "someone/something is doing" something.

    In this case, your sentence could mean both of the options you said. I think especially with the verb "llevar" it's common to hear it in the present tense for both meanings.

  • Apart from what agusamadeus said.. you say "camiseta" when you are talking about the t-shirt that the (soccer/basketball/baseball.. any sport) players..

    if you are talking about a t-shirt.. is more common to listen "remera" here..

  • Mens' underpants !

    How to say that in Mexican Spanish.

    How to say that in Cuban Spanish

    I was wanting to hear how the difference sounded, but mere spelling will do, anyone?

    .

    Cheers

    from,

    del-boy.

  • In Colombia the words you used would mean this: Sueter: Saco (sweater) La sudadera = Sweat shirt + pants (whole outfit). Chaqueta = Coat Pantalones cortos = shorts/bermudas (in the north) Medias = Socks (we never say calcetines) Pantyhose would be = Medias veladas Sandalias = same Las chanclas = same Heels = Tacones Really, when it comes to clothing, every region is totally different :)
  • ¿Que lleva Pepe?

    Pepe = Name or nickname?

    Pepe = José (south america)

  • this is awesomazing! totally helped me memorize clothes for my spanish test. thanks for posting :)

  • i loved it, but it would hel SSSOOO much to have the translation under it or something, because it got very confusing on some

  • your spanish is from wich country?

    The one I learned is a mix of bolivian and spainish, and there are some changes (specially on the accent)

  • Here in Spain there are many differents ways to say the name of the clothes. For example, in my zone we say ''Jersey'' to the ''suéter'', or ''vaqueros'' to the ''jeans'', or ''chaquetón'' to the ''abrigo'', or ''deportivos'' to the ''tenis'', or ''bañador'' to the ''traje de baño''- Finally the ''ropa interior'' is ''calzoncillos'' (boxers) for men, and ''bragas'' (panties) or ''tanga'' (G-string) for women

  • @borjamapra Thanks for posting your information. I was intrigued to see "calzoncillos" boxers for men. (would that also apply to briefer mens underpants?) . But, how to say "calzoncillos" in Mexican Spanish? Is it spelt the same but pronounced differently or is it also spelt differently. (spelt = spelled) . Just wondering. Hope it is not too difficult an inquiry. Cheers. from, . del-boy.

  • this is really helppfulll. i'm a college student and whenever i have test i watch these videos.and after i feel i get almost everythingggg .. U r the Besttt teacherrrrrr

  • In Argentina and Uruguay we say:

    La sudadera = buzo

    Chaqueta = campera

    Pantalones cortos = short ( we say it in english )

    Calcetines = medias ( incluid for men )

    Los tenis = zapatillas de tenis

    Sandalias = chancletas

    Las chanclas = ojotas

    El traje de baño = Men = maya Woman = bikini

  • ¡Gracias por compartir con nosotros! :-)

  • O.o excuse me what`s the difference between " la sudadera " and "el abrigo" ?

  • sudadera --> sweatshirt

    abrigo --> coat

  • @tontitofrito i love u =D

  • @BRoKeN1190 isnt el abrigo like a coat? im not sure :L

  • thnx man

  • You don't say jeans =)

    I learned vaqueros=)

    almenos no he oido a muchos decirles vaqueros O.o

    you`re an exellent teacher :)

  • @tontitofrito

  • @tontitofrito

    Hola Senor Jordan. I have finished your basic conversation videos, which finished at La Familia if I am understanding things correctly. I started with video number one of the next course - La Ropa. Unlike the last course through, it isn't clear to me which order I should do this course in - am I doing something wrong? Thanks and I love your videos!

  • Sorry. I haven't officially created an order for them after the family video. But if you look at the playlists on my profile, there is an order for them as I have uploaded them. Sorry for the confusion.

  • Hey man! what a great teacher! u speak better than natives! hahah how can i get ur courses! I mean, I am mexican but I speak French, English and Chinese and looking for teach spanish like u... Do u sell ur tools?

  • you have the coolest shirts.

  • you suck

  • Not related to this video. IS there a lesson explaining personal A

  • ¡Nooooo!

¡¡Sorry!!

  • Jeans = Vaqueros

  • anyone who reads this should recognize this is the way to say "jeans" in Spain.

  • cool vid thanks 4 sharing ;o) I'm subbing!

  • Los tenis is Latin = Las zapatillas or las deportivas is from Spain.

  • Slightly off-topic: Why is dress (n) translated to a masculine noun? Is there a good explanation for that?

  • The 'masculinity' or 'femininity' of words has nothing to do with if men or women use them.

  • so is THIS the beginning of the THIRD series?
