  • Illegal immigrants work hard. Yes. Just look at their countries.Look how hey worked hard, how they took care of their countries. Just to fuck it up. Ask their presidents, like Felipe.

  • hey Jews: Can we all move to Israel since you preach "multiculturalism" but don't practice it? Especially us Blacks & Illegal Criminals...can we come? Pretty please, jew?

  • Even though a civil offense, illegal presence in the US carries a penalty. Besides, illegal entry is felony. Remeber, OJ murdered his wife, and it was tried in a Civil Court.

  • The dream act has in REALITY nothing to do with dreams for the illegal immigrants from central americans and Mexicans. fact is, more and more south americans are going back home because of rising unemployment in the US and rising employment opportunties in their own countries. back to the topic: The real idea of the dream act pushed majority of big business (GOP) and from the left DEMS (also sponsored by big business) is more cheap labor and of course for the DEMS, more votes for them.

  • Sadly but OWS is dead. Like dead dead. Only several zombies are left. They accomplished nothing. They put such bad reputation to our socialist movement that was gaining momentum but is in jeopardy now. Now all normal people think of us as hippies, lazy low lifes. No money to continue any significant OWS actions which is probably good given the damage they caused to our great cause. We got to the point when most retirees supported but no their support declined too. I hope OWS does not return ever

  • Under the declaration of independence it say's that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness. Second of all all imigrants whom have come into America have had menial jobs, and worked there way up! My Grandmother worked in the mills, and my Grandfather worked in the Sewers! Further more my Grandparents followed immigration laws to come into this country!

  • This whole immigrants debate is so stupid! First of all OWS is a protest against the power of the financial elite on the governments and society. Secondly immigrants come to richer countries only because the world capitalistic market keeps their countries poor to reduce manufacturing costs. If they weren't poor they wouldn't come to clean toilets! da-ha.

Exploit their cheap labor is exactly the same thing as the financial elite exploiting US labor.

  • @RealityGrapple Shouldn't the point be about challenging the larger system of capitalism, which has developed itself by means of colonial labour relations and the exclusivity of the nation-state? Focusing just on Wall Street is almost like saying you like capitalism - you only criticize it when something goes visibly wrong. Yet, what about the horrible way the international monetary system as a whole keeps developing countries indebted while it disciplines developed countries with austerity?

  • I am not averse to immigration or immigrants, but it is a BAD idea to add immigration issues to the Occupy WALL STREET movement. Immigrants allow a growing labor force which depresses wages. This is exactly in line w/ the wishes of the powers-that-be. Cheaper labor means MORE profits for the owners of this country. I won't use the word 'employers' here because there are plenty of employers that DO NOT OWN USA or ITS gov't. Wall Street does. Corporations are not for workers, rather share-holders.

  • She doesn't represent all of the OWS movement. It is this kind of behavoir that will destroy the original cause of addressing Corporate crime and Political corruption. OWS members should not try to hijack the movement to further their own causes. She does not speak for OWS.

  • Perhaps the military spending could be cut back to half, and education and healthcare for everyone would become free overnight.

  • People are so confused and conflicted. If you ask someone about the environment...they claim to want to protect it.

But then bring up immigration and they want to open the borders because we're all human. That has consequences...

Over-population, over-development, resulting in more pollution, cars, houses than we already have. Why would we want to make this side of the world just like the old world.

Why abort our children so that we have to replace them with others?

    So confusing.

  • @RealityGrapple Which particular points? The North/South divide and the effect of US imperialism (in relation to the welfare state and consumer society) on the unequal structure of the global economy? The role of migrant and precarious labour in the global economy? Or my explanations of her primary focus on immigration, given that often hosts tell speakers to talk on particular issues they are familiar with?

  • we have more illegal immigrants than we have unemployed. the big corporations love it cause it drive wages down. and wanting them out isn't racist it's nationalist and pro labor. the old left understood the fight was about money, the new left is identity politics

  • @homofaber08 That's because of NAFTA. Immigration has doubled since NAFTA.

  • @homofaber08 Can't there be both? Why question one system of exclusive privilege while holding onto another outdated relic of that same system - the capitalist nation-state? Can't you see how it directs anger away from those at the top to the (largely powerless) people migrating through sheer economic necessity? The fact is, large scale modernization generates displacement.

  • The immigration issue is part and parcel of the change in focus needed in this country. A movement as diverse as OCCUPY is the people's answer to what the politicians seem incapable of doing. Yes, it is broad in nature. Our country's needs are broad in nature. Coordinating American citizens into a massive and effective political movement that can effect real change requires a mechanism that encourages a wide number of diverse interests and opinions. The strength of this movement is diversity!

  • @MsPureDicktion We have a live ZioPig right here in our midst apparently. You know them by their psychopathology & the fierce way they defend all things Israel, no matter how terrorist & fascist Israel is.

  • @mikem1234 Don't worry, "RealityFrappe" doesn't agree w/anyone who's for actual peace & actual justice. S/he wishes death on those who do...just like the shysters & business criminals in "our" government.

  • @RealityGrapple Wow, the one who's telling others to stab themselves & slit their wrists has the audacity to call others "disgusting."

Only a ZioFascist could be so blatantly psychopathic. The rest of us are catching on to your lies, phony wars, genocide, greed, fraud, etc. etc. Good luck with your potty mouth; I'd learn how to defend myself physically if I were as sick & loud-mouthed as you.

  • why on gods green earth would these people want MORE people to complete with for tax dollars, just HOW many people does OWS think us working folk can afford to take care of???

  • @duanescot The immigrants don't need anyone to take care of them. They are the ones who are taking care of us. These people work in restaurants and hotels doing menial work like serving, cooking kitchens, cleaning, laundry, etc. They also take care of other people's children. Wake up.

  • @USASecretHistory and who pays for their healthcare and other infrascructure needs? Yeah, wake up, right, cause we all know the benefit of someone washing dishes on the cheap MORE than pays for medical costs, the only one who needs to wake up and learn something is YOU

  • @duanescot You don't know what you're talking about. Unlike you, I have read several books about this topic. First, most Americans are unwilling to take these low paying jobs immigrants take. In some cases, consumers benefit. Car washes is one example. As for medical costs, the American people for a long time have paid for the uninsured. You need to blame the insurance companies for the high costs of health care. The WHO rates the US #38 in health care. Immigrants aren't to blame.

  • @duanescot Furthermore, everytime immigrants use public transportation they are paying for the infrastructure needs in the cities they live in. I live in L.A. Most bus riders are immigrants. If they stopped riding buses, the city's transportation system would be severely cut back, even probably dismantled. That would create more job losses. The same with the schools. LAUSD has a significant number of immigrant students. Without them the schools would not receive money from the state.

  • @USASecretHistory again, your talking out your ass, jobs americans wont do? sure they wont, not when you have artificially low wages brought on by illegal immigration. Your analysis makes no sense, immigrants use public transportation, ja, what would we do without that! it pales in comparrison to the drain on medical resources, prison, food stamps, you name it, nothing illegals do can EVER make up for the drain. Your idealogical fantasy is just that, a fantasy with no basis in reality whatsoever

  • @duanescot

My friend you are speaking the truth:):) But its unfortunate so few of you are left in America now

  • @Reido2828 unfortunate for the folks who think the gravy train will last forever, unbeknownst to them they are creating the very thing they hoped to escape

  • @duanescot

Did he respond back to your arguments? He never did to mine.

  • @duanescot More white people have been using public transportation since the spike in gas prices. At least in LA> We're not living in the halcyon days of the 50s. More white people are on welfare than minorities.

  • @duanescot The problem with imprisoning undocumented immigrants is the fault of the US immigration system. Entering the United States illegally or overstaying your visa is a civil offense, not a criminal offense. But the US legal system has decided to criminalize them. Instead it should solely focus on criminal offenses committed by undocumented immigrants.

  • @USASecretHistory

Do they get free health care to?

  • @Reido2828 Under Obama's health care reform, undocumented do not receive health care services. This was one of the false issues that Republicans raised during the debate. The only people who receive free health care in this country are the congressmen in Capitol Hill. They include Republicans who don't want the American people to have universal health care, even though they enjoy its benefits. Blatant hypocrisy.

  • @USASecretHistory

I agree but your country is straight up broke and is in rapid decline. You need cuts and lots of them in order to avoid a collapse.

  • @Reido2828 This is not true. This country is not broke. Currently, American corporations are sitting on $2 trillion dollars in cash. That's money that is not being circulated in the economy. This is the behavior by some of the institutions that were bailed out by the American taxpayer. Look at today's New York Times "Romney's Tax Return Show $21.6 million Income in '10." Both Obama (26.3%) and Gingrich (31.7%)pay higher tax rates than Romney (13.9%).

  • @USASecretHistory

You don't need to bring up the republicans in this argument because we all know who they are. And for the sake of democracy lets not talk about Michael Moore. The American system is broken and only a serious fixing from within will help save the economy. Taxing the rich should of happened twenty years ago when you guys actually had an economy. Now its just beginning to be driven deeper and deeper into debt. Taxing the rich will not solve any problems

  • @Reido2828 It's not just the wealthy individuals. It's also the corporations. 280 of them failed to pay over $200 billion in taxes on their corporate profits. Taxing the wealthy begins to solve the problem of inequity. Romney did not draw his earnings in 2010 from income. The system gives people like him an unfair advantage that he does not deserve.

  • @USASecretHistory

I agree but my friend you still don't see the big picture. Do you know demographics play a huge role in this financial crisis? Did you know that taxing the rich will only solve maybe 1.5% of the debt? Look up here on youtube "Obama outsourcing jobs to china". Many Americans are still asleep with much of what is going on in your country. Obama will tax the rich 30% but he also gave them a huge bail out. Connect the dots and realize the hypocrisy here:)

  • @Reido2828 The bailout came during the Bush Administration. It was Toxic Asset Relief Program (TARP). He did help bailout the automobile industry. The financial crisis occured after the government began its deregulation of corporations in the 1990s. The removal of Glass-Steagall is one example. The Credit Bubble and Housing Bubble in 2005 and 2006 presaged the Great Recession in 2008. The laws in this country are rigged to help corporations and the wealthy only.

  • @Reido2828 Outsourcing occured before Obama. Clinton signed NAFTA. Another example of a law, in this case a treaty, benefitting the wealthy and hurting the working class and the poor in Mexico and the US. Because of NAFTA immigration to the US doubled.

  • @USASecretHistory

I'm not talking about NAFTA. I am speaking in terms of forced regulations. The country has strict labour laws and can take these corporations apart if they do commit these legal labour laws. I'm sorry but I will not ever give in to someone who actually defends the Obama administration. You need to wake up

  • @Reido2828 How many corporations have been taken apart due to these labor laws? This crisis happened due to deregulation not forced regulations. When someone states "The bailout came during the Bush Administration. It was Toxic Asset Relief Program (TARP). He (Obama) did help bailout the automobile industry." like I did, that is not someone who is defending the Obama administration. That is just someone who is pointing out the facts.

  • @USASecretHistory

These laws and regulations exist, don't you get it. They exist and right now Obama like Bush has broken them. People are so quick to defend him but its Obama who signed the NDAA bill, It was Obama who extended the bush tax cuts, It was Obama who had a majority for his first two years in office and did NOTHING!!!

  • @USASecretHistory

Before you call me a Ron Paultard, understand I am not permuting him but he gets good conversations going. Type in "Ron Paul: We'll Be Safer and Richer If We Bring Our Troops Home and Change Our Foreign Policy" Theres so many things people are unaware of and it seems even the political elite on the democratic side is just as corrupt as the republicans.

  • @duanescot This is complete lunacy. The so-called taxpayers of South Carolina (remember Gingrich complaining about black people on food stamps in the S.C. debates?) actually take in $1.35 from the federal government for every federal tax dollar they pay. This is the lunacy of the Right. They have been making this claim since the 1960s.

  • @Reido2828 they do, I've seen it many many times, though they will never admit it and people like usahistory are to blinded by agenda to ever openly admit it

  • @duanescot

Its dangerous waters though man. He actually believes what he says and he didn't make it up. He got it from a source and it sounds like its from another pro big government academic advancing some ridiculous agenda to "Better help the middle class" meaning fuck everyone over for my ideology

  • @Reido2828 You two sound like you're in some type of therapy session. It's a good thing we're not living in the 1950s or 60s. They would have looked you two up in an insane asylum.

  • @Reido2828 You received your indoctrination from the John Birch Society and the Tea Party Movement.

  • @USASecretHistory

WE`LL I`m a Canadian so no Tea Party movement here and the John Birch Society I think left Canada in the 90`s so your ignorant assumptions have no basis here. I project that you`re probably in high school and only believe what corporate media tells you. I guess Michael Moores next documentary; we can count on you waiting in the front of the lines. Typical idiot drone you are, has to resort to name calling rather than an actual debate. MORON MORON MORON!!

  • @USASecretHistory

But thats ok though because your country is FINISHED and it will take a tumble off a cliff because idiots like you continue to distort reality with your liberal and conservative fantasies, and unaware of the seriousness that is about to hit your country.

  • What rights do undocumented immigrants have? Voting? Public assistance? Food stamps? Education? Healthcare? Seems like immigrants took a chance in coming here. They came for jobs, to earn a living. What do the citizens owe immigrants? We're in hard times. Is it fair to be forced to pay for immigrant needs when times are so hard? On what basis do immigrants demand rights?

Seems like voting is the way to make change. Immigrants cannot vote. The rest is rhetoric.

  • @budb11 They do have rights under the Constitution. For one, every person has the right to due process. Second, you are not paying for immigrant needs. They have sacrificed to get to this country. And they still sacrifice when they accept menial jobs that most Americans, and even some legal immigrants, are unwilling to do. Migrant work is one job most Americans are unwilling to do.

  • @RealityGrapple I don't think she said it was the most important, or the only, issue. From the perspective of someone who is involved in an organization trying to deal with this issue on a constant basis, I could see where her "bias" comes from. There is a North-South divide in the world, and American citizens shouldn't be privileged for being the first to be part of their country, especially since it is a nation of immigrants, just like most modern nations.

  • Is saying that Occupiers will no longer be divided by gender or race and so on really "post-racial" language? I think it's more of solidarity proposal. Now this doesn't mean that people of diverse background all share same oppression and denounce the actuality of such diversity but to recognize how so many oppressions with racism, sexism and homophobia are all connected and how understand those factors are necessary to create solidarity against 1%. And occupiers aren't middle class either.

  • 1:15 sounds like reverse racism , 3:17 we are all equal no deserves special rights that infringe on others.

just one more distraction from the original ideal and the REAL problem in America, focus people.

  • nice

  • Ummm, I thought we were trying to get the crony bankers who fucked up our dollar and is sending the Euro to destruction making our lives much harder.

  • kool vid

  • Wow, Thanu is one impressive woman. I was blown away by her intelligence and her ability to so fully express complex ideas in such a clear and coherent manner. I have no doubt that she is an incredible advocate for youth seeking to improve their educational opportunities in America. She is a Superwoman.

  • @darkhorse21xx You must be borderline retarded to be "blown away" by someone who isn't even average but has a big mouth, ignorance of facts, & a big old sack of entitlement syndrome.

  • Nobody doubts that Romney is corrupt enough to get the GOP nomination. Nobody doubts that he is greedy enough to get the nomination. He needs to take a hard line on "immigration" in order to persuade the voters that he is bigoted enough to be the GOP nomination. It is ironic: He has to prove he is as bigoted as the worst of them in order to overcome the Republicans bigotry toward Mormons. Ironic and pitiful...

  • i do not understand her take on #OWS. Why did I not see it as white middle class. Here point doesnt have much weight. Immigration is not the reason we are in the WAY we are in. It is our economic philosophy that gives to ends like our immigration laws. It is NOT our immigration laws that has effected our country.

  • Still sleeping I see.

  • Occupy needs to call people to get out and start rioting. Only then the authorities will take the movement seriously and give some help to poors. We have to start massive strike, block main roads, throw rocks at authoriites, destroy everything until we get: too big student loans get forgotten, forclosed people get back their homes, every poor family gets cash assistance until end of this recession, legalized mrihuana, all our troops are brought home, and all undocumented immigrants deported back

  • good move! ..occupy movement has many arms and legs.

  • Please do take up "immigration reform." Since the 60s, the ZioFascists have pushed for more & more immigration from 3rd world countries, & they've gotten their wishes each time (can't imagine why, when they hold most of the money in the world). The poor little brainwashed kids of the ows movement keep getting distracted by those who only wish for more free rides. I've been supporting illegals for decades w/my hard-earned tax dollars. Go home & stay home before you're jailed as you should be.

  • @TripleSpeak Pfff, dude, how about the 700 billion dollars from YOUR taxes that you gave to the people of Wall Street? Stop putting the blame of the crisis on a person who earns $5 per hour. It's ridiculous and blatantly stupid.

  • @thewrathofbombast so you know how to copy the same lame comment.

Do you think that because we have criminal Jews on Wall st. that there aren't other problems? Because there are criminal Jews, then all other criminals should also go free. Because there are criminal Jews, then criminal illegals should just continue to rip us off.

Perhaps you should take a logic class (but it would probably confuse you too much).

  • @TripleSpeak Why should the Zionists care that they've purposely overrun our country w/3rd world scum? The Wall st. ziopigs don't pay taxes, or they pay very little. So, they get the protection of the dumbasses imported from Mexico (who'll vote for their stooges), while continuing to rip off Gentiles with their usury & fraud.

Deport all of the illegals (including their anchor babies) & jail the zionist criminals.

  • @MsPureDicktion Deport ALL Zionists to Israel and cut off funding to the Nazi fascist state of Israel. Stop letting AIPAC and dual-national Israeli scum like Chertoff run this country. The TSA, Patriot Act, Homeland Security ALL brought to you by Zionist criminals. And Zionists DID 911.

  • @Prancer1231 better yet, go kill yourself. seriously. i mean it. you should. it's the right thing to do.

  • @Prancer1231 If this happened we'd have near peace & justice in the world. Except that Israel would need to be dissolved & the ZioPigs shipped to another planet.

  • @Prancer1231 Seems we have a mentally disturbed ZioPig (is there any other kind?) right here in our midst, encouraging anyone who doesn't agree w/her to kill themselves. This OughttaGrappleWithReality a little more & move to Israhell.

  • "occupy Wall street" failed...why continue to call the 'occupy' movement "occupy wall street"...it's like a testament to failure.

  • The banksters want more people to immigrate, especially because there is an election coming up. They want to keep their team in control, and immigrants are much more easily manipulated and do not yet have deep roots in this country. Statistics show that immigrants are more likely to vote for social welfare programs and gun control -- they lack an understanding of the constitution.

    OWS is being co-opted -- /watch?v=YrzCDpQcfjU

  • Why does she keep asking questions?

  • @mikem1234 Dropping knowledge my brotha'! Hell yeah.

  • @HorrorAngel666 You are an ignorant twit.

  • @yo1dude1man Your wrong. They're touching on a deeper issue.

  • H.y.f.r.!

  • wtf has immigration got to do with the OWS movement? This movement is about the banker-government criminal collaboration, and the creeping corporate socialism that siphons wealth to the top & impoverishes everyone else. The best way to fragment & neutralise the movement is to dissipate its energies into a multitude of other issues.

  • It's a serious issue, but I find it hard to concentrate on listening to her when she has that annoying intonation thing with her voice (every sentence sounds like a question). Treating people differently because of skin tone is highly irrational, but I think we discriminate against people who talk like this just to save our minds. hehehe

  • a girl like this who's whole identity is race politics is probably one of the worst kinds of racists there is. I didn't see one posting by Anonymous that told white middle class to go out an protest. An immigrants rights? What is that? The USA has an immigration policy that is more than fair to people wanting to enter the us...moreso than almost any other country....and this chick still thinks her group is victimized. blah!

  • @OmarThePug race is a big issue, do you know that after Hurricane Katrina government said that if those people that were white color much more would be done, what if your life was suffering and you were left behind, you would first have youtube channel with WE WANT TRUTH - stop beeing slave with all divisions, yes questions like these seem to be like OF THE ''BIG ISSUE'' but don't you get it NDAA is going after immigrant, before WWII first were jews and then all freedoms went away

  • @OmarThePug Making baseless blanket "observations" merely reveals your ignorance. It does not counter any of her positions.

There is nothing racist about pointing out racial inequality. White supremacists' cynical attempt to use that idea to control the conversation is transparent to anyone not enthralled by racist ideologies.

  • Fuckin Crazy !

THIS COUNTRY ISN"T A NAZI !!! LET NON CRIMINAL Illegal Imigrants to be OUR BROTHER!!! THIS IS AMERICA ! THAT'S WHO WE ARE!!!

  • this world will be so much better off when there is no borders at all,..until then i think people just need to realize people from like say china is cool aas hell i woufld love to go there,.. i love north korea imagine going to iraq and not having to worry about a thing at all you could see the temples and walk the malls,.. obama man hear my voice,OUR FUTURE DEMANDS this choice.

  • The more we claim that race matter the more we feed the dragon of identity politics that divides us and feeds racism. Blacks will never be equal to white until both white and blacks stop caring about their race,

  • I agree with making immigration one of the focuses of OWS, but the Dream Act basically militarizes the path to citizenship. Definite no-no.

  • Holy Cow!

This immigration issue is a divertion from those criminal robbers on Wall Street, "too big to fail" Central Banks, and Investment Firms, who nearly tanked our world economy into the next Dark Ages [we're not out of the woods yet by the way!]

Stay focused on those Robber Barons on Wall Street first! Only thing you're doing right now is rearranging deck-chairs on the Titanic.

  • @yo1dude1man It's not a diversion. There is a myriad of issues that need to be tackled. The movement doesn't have the numbers or the power right now to threaten the way the corporate institutions function.

There is no social change handbook. You just have to start somewhere. Noam Chomsky talks about movements are protests a lot. People just need to stop being isolated, just start talking, and get organized.

  • @sk8tafrnk My take is these criminal Banksters would love nothing more than divert our energy and anger away from them. Make no mistake - they are ground zero for this Recession and not one, not one of them, has seen prison time yet. The problems of homelessness, home forclosures, lost jobs, layoffs, & zero job creation rest squarely on their lap. We need to take the wood out of eyes before we take the splinters out of others!

  • @yo1dude1man Nobody has forgotten about the bankers.

In order to effect the institutions we need way more people. WAAAAY more. We'll have to... completely block all the ports for long periods of time for example. You realize this movement could possibly take 10 years or so.

Read a book or something. If you are honestly going to be critical about OWS behind your computer screen, get out there for Christ sake. Recruit people you know and go to a general assembly.

  • @sk8tafrnk recruiting people who do not have a strong footing in the constitution is a problem. You should be recruiting Americans in American, Mexicans in Mexico, Russians in Russia. There are people within OWS attempting to co-opt the movement. If you don't think OWS has been co-opted, just watch:

    /watch?v=YrzCDpQcfjU

  • @WhatsReallyGoingOnUS Please explain to me just what "An American" is? you are all immigrants. unless you are among the first nations peoples. America has long been called "The Great Melting Pot of Nations"

  • Comment removed

  • @sk8tafrnk Give me a break! Been howling about this since 2000, once I realized [NeoLiberal] Clinton signed Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act that gutted/defanged Glass-Steagall. Since the November 2007 Crash main stream media & pundits successfully move the blame from Wall Street to our government. Now OWS is shifting their focus away from Wall Street which makes me suspicious the whole OWS movement has been hijacked.

Keep you energy & anger on Wall Street! And only Wall Street! Period. End of story!

  • @yo1dude1man If your complaints about the movement is so large, what are you doing wasting your time behind your computer on a Youtube comment thread?

Read a book about social change and movements. End of story.

  • @yo1dude1man "WE ARE THE 99%" is false advertising if issues like illegal immigrantion are ignored... should be we are the 60-70%

  • @yo1dude1man the mobility (or lack thereof) of labor is intimately related to the political strength of (very mobile) international finance capital. and of course the reasons immigrants leave their countries in the first place are usually due to international investment ruining their job prospects there. the 1% spoken of by OWS is certainly conscious of their globe-spanning position, the sooner the 99% realizes that it too is a global phenomenon the more effective its action will be

  • Great, they can come here and get free everything and the people who live here get nothing. Then you can go to the nations the illegals ruined and ran away from and you get nothing. The whole time they are asking for more and more. Why is it these people ruin the nations they live in then run somewhere else?

  • @HorrorAngel666 That's not a fair way to describe it. People migrate for many reasons, such as authoritarianism or lack of freedom in their home country, or sheer poverty and desperation. The fact that we resent them immigrating just shows how much nationalist ideology (about how much we should consume relative to others) has been ingrained in us by those who it truly serves - the business leaders and bankers who constructed these myths of peoplehood to find external enemies, fight wars, etc.

  • @HorrorAngel666 Oh, really? Remind me: who was it that got 700 billion dollars from your taxes? Do you know? Why are you complaining about a person who earns 5 dollars an hour? Do you see my point?

  • Immigration wouldn't be an issue at all if there wasn't the colonial past and the North-South gap that still exists between countries. Part of the 'gains' we in the North made in our welfare states was dependent on exploitation of poor, developing countries, and then the debt bondage we put them in as a result of IMF, World Bank, WTO, etc. policy. When the Irish working class was starving, for example, it came to North America to live better. Why should there be a benefit in coming first?

  • It's good to have a both/and perspective rather than saying Occupy must be focused on 'economic' issues OR 'cultural' issues around immigration and nation. It is definitely possible to do both, while also recognizing that while all people may have the potential to be equal, in actuality they are not, and the sooner we recognize that and start compensating for it, the sooner we get to the goals of seriously challenging capitalism, since migrant labour is a huge part of the working class.

  • Tuition support regardless of status? What the fuck? A lot of U.S. citizens don't get tuition support, why should immigrants? I have no problem with immigration or undocumented workers, I'm actually an immigrant myself, but people like this girl just take things way too far. They create issues where there are none. Immigrants don't want tuition support or anything like that, they just want the security of knowing they won't be arrested and deported when they show up to work tomorrow.

  • @Devilock79 Right, because immigrants don't want or need education. I personally know illegal immigrants who are brilliant and have received scholarships from universities regardless of their status because they are that good. Immigration is more complex than what you are portraying here.

  • @thewrathofbombast If you know a "brilliant" illegal, you must be retarded. OK, from your comments we know you aren't very bright.

But why not go back to Mexico instead of spamming America with your entitlement bullshit? We're all filled up with stupid & ignorant here. We don't need any more Mexie scum.

  • this movement is a joke. I expected it to turn into something else like the environment and now it's turning into a multicultural movement lol...

The establishment is leading this group and they are gonna steer it to where ever they want and it is safe for them...

  • Immigration...? Co opted big time... Here we have banks teaming up with gov and robbing us blind and they want us to focus on immigration... screw them. Keep the focus on the criminals, dont let them side track us with Gay marriage and Immigration...

  • tax money shouldn't go to illegals...

  • @punkkimiko No, it should go to the guys on Wall Street, right? It already did. 700 BILLION dollars. Remember? Stop complaining about the person who earns 5 an hour. Complain about the people who stole and are still stealing the millions from you.

  • @punkkimiko Don't worry, thewrathofMexicanIllegals has spammed the same stupid shit to everyone who doesn't want to continue to be degraded & ripped off by 3rd world scum.

  • They deny our own people, food, health, and living quarters but coddle the illegals here. Don't bother to try to talk me out of it. Okla. City is full of stinking devils who lust for money, power, and sex!

  • @Licmycat What a bunch of demagogy. Not only are they not people but "devils" and they want your money, your power and rape all the white ladies that are out there. Reminds me of another racial stereotype...

  • @thewrathofbombast How much money you making? Cheap wages or illegal drugs? What's demagogy?

  • What is the difference between a Jew, murdered with gas by the S.S in Auschwitz, and a Palestinian child, murdered with white phosphorus by the Israeli Defense Force?

    NOTHING!

End Israeli occupation of Palestine, now!

Make Israel respect International law, the United Nations and fellow human beings!

  • Occupy has been taken over by the anger of the ppl. Not a bad thing really. this is how all revolts start.

  • It's ok to break our laws sneaking in?? Just like lying, say one once and you'll do it again, and again, and again.....I don't hear them screaming at them to legalize marijuana so I have to wonder about her ideal of immigration. Does she deal drugs or take any? Is she a catholic? GOD forbid!

  • I wish this chick would SERIOUSLY stop saying "Um, but if you can, um, understand, um, what they were trying to, um, say, um" Seriously, it's soooo annoying!
