I like the Japanese songs sometimes but some of them really don't fit with certain scenes of DBZ. Like, it doesn't belong there. I just don't find the Japanese songs fitting. They do fit in DB but mostly I think it's because DB is more magical and fantasy and more light hearted, but DBZ focuses more on Sci Fi and Action and much darker in tone, and the battles are a lot more intense, and this is why I think music like this fits well with DBZ.
the american score really accents the battle's intensity... the japanese score is just like freakin orchestra music that just distracts and takes away from the show i think. this is like the only japanese show i would never watch with the original voice and music. I grew up with the one that had balls (american!!!) and where goku had balls too (not girly sounding)
epic stuff at the start at 1:50! so awesome! sounds like the devil himself is coming after you. it also would of worked for frieza's transformation theme(if they kept the remastered score)
@GeneralKavakos Gonna have to disagree with you there. While the American score is good its nowhere near as good as the Japanese score. All of the music fits perfectly and is brilliantly composed my only complaint is that some of the song get over used a bit but that isn't really a problem if the music fits well. The American music on the other hand has many good songs but a few just dont fit with the moment like when SSJ Goku is fighting Freeza.
@GeneralKavakos (CONT) Goku is furious and is facing his strongest opponent yet and the whole planet is about to blow up. Slow Synth Music just doesn't fit with the mood. It would be more fitting for a scene where Freeza was in his space ship sitting in his chair thinking about what planet he should take over next. Another good example would be when Goku is turning SSJ3 for the first time. The power from the transformation could destroy the area hes trying to protect.
@GeneralKavakos Even King Kais telling him to stop yet there playing some super heroic music which is sorta fitting (though it would be more fitting if Goku was transforming in area where no one could get hurt) while in the Japanese version its playing dramatic music that fits perfectly see for your self. watch?v=c_a-tz6lqhI&feature=related Another one I can think of is when Trunks is explaining what the Androids look like In the American version it played some over the top Synth rock song.
@GeneralKavakos (CONT) While in the Japanese version it played a slow creepy song which fitted perfectly. Also when Gohan turns SSJ2 in the American version it played some Generic synth music which had been used at least 50 times all ready while Gohan is monologuing what 16 just said in his head (which ruins the point of the scene which is his heads clearing before he snaps). While in the Japanese version it played a Awesome Vocal song which starts off calm (perfect for Gohans head clearing).
Where can I download all these soundtracks?

It's still a mystery why this track was left out of the final OST. This should of been in the soundtrack from the very start.

the japanese music is cool but faulconer's is better. the japanese music is the same stuff over and over. the u.s version is MOSTLY its own score

The reprise of that little motif at 3:55 at the end is epic.

And I also have to add that this is yet another example of why the American score blows the Japanese soundtrack out of the water.

I agree, the American score >>>>> Japanese score.
Everyone should listen to 3:55 and 8:10. I love that part of the song.

@GeneralKavakos (CONT) Then goes all epic which is perfectly fitting for Gohans rage and determination to beat Cell.
