@TCC: I produced and Co-Wrote Sex On The Beach...We (myself & O4L) wrote and recorded the same version u hear now at our studio house in 1997....hence the beeper sound...LOL
@TCC: Of course I heard the Playa version. LOL..That's the only version we heard for years berfore Smoke E (from Playa) recorded a version of it for O4L a coupla years after his group recorded it. The song was originally on the Playa's 2nd album. Since the album was never slated to be released, Smoke had O4L do a version of it. Now Playa's version is on YouTube. I love that song. I love O4L, they're my dawgs, but I love Playa's version better.
@timtava LOL! What I meant was did you hear the original version without the Timbo production which you obviously did. I prefer that one myself to all of them. O4L did a great job on the track though. Still my all time fav. track of theirs is "College Degree" the version with Sincere though his raps are drowned out by the beat lol.
@TCC: Hope this clears it up...if u have any other questions to clear up feel free to email me @ tim.tava@gmail.com. Wud love to update anyone on it...Even with us working with Aaliyah and Static Major..
@TCC: Not random at all. We were all signed to Blackground Records together at the time..Plus we're all from VA and knew Missy and Timbo b4 they even got to Devante's label. We were in the same music circles as Timbo, Missy and her group (Fazee...pronounced "Fay-Zee"), Pherrell and Chad...If u think about it and look at Boyz II Men's "Motownphilly" video, u'll see them in the video...At the time they were called "Sudden Impact"....but by the time we did "Who R U", we changed 2 members..
@timtava I knew the Blackground connection but had no idea ya'll knew each other from the Bassment days. Ahhh yes Fayze, I do remember. Really cool of you to hit me back. I'm always looking to put together the Timbaland time line. So Outsiderz must have been cool with Playa as well then? Of all tracks they did by Timbo, I was always surprised he produced "Wrong Side of the Bed" it just doesn't sound like him. you ever heard the Playa version?
@ThomasCrownChronicle: My name is Tim Byrd. I produced and co-wrote the original version to this song. Timbo did this remix, Jimmy Douglas was the engineer...Timbo also did another song for O4L called "College Degree" which was engineered by Jimmy Douglas as well. Hope this info helps.
Had to listen to this song 30 times in 2000. Did an EPK for this band when I was a video editor. Watched this and hours of interviews. They were kinda funny. Song got stuck in my head.
@cred101 Can you send me the liner notes for all the Timbo tracks on the album? I'm interested if Timbo was the only producer and who the engineer is and if any sample credits are listed. Let me know if you can....
Can i get info on what happen to this group i like the other songs they did but it was like the fell off. Or are they none maintream underground like me.
Man, I've been looking for this song for 10 years now! Thanks!

@thomascrownchronicles: Yea, we had a lot of unreleased songs. Timbo was only involved in the ones u already know about.

@timtava I'd love to know how they hooked up with Timbo in the first place. Seems random but I guess not in the music biz
