  • wished I read her story in history lessons! Thanks for posting, appreciated :)

  • I bet what makes her case so interested is that she was a woman. Crimes such as hers had been committed before.

  • She had loaned the King of Hungary great sums of money and by being accused and found guilty of these crimes, that dept disappeared. After the death of her husband it was know and socially acceptable fact that the nobles moved in on the assets of the dead man, accusing and removing his family's of the set property. I seriously doubt that this women was guilty of her crimes.

  • All that blood drinking didn't improve her looks much, someone should of told her to take a bath in milk and flower petels. Sad story.

  • i love this show!!!!

  • I've seen several documentaries about elizabeth bathory and loved every one of them. her story is just so bizarre and wicked!

  • Freedom.

  • thank you for sharing.

  • I've read that it's not proven Bathory tortured and killed all those girls. There were rumours she was thought to be too influential by enemies of her family. They tried to damage the family name by spreading those rumours. Villagers were promised money and land if they spoke up against their lady. According to many sources there is no proof she killed those girls, neither is there proof she did not. I think it's very interesting and it makes me wonder what really happened...

  • @GoldenXBoots they know she killed many of them because bodies were found

  • @GoldenXBoots @GoldenXBoots you are wrong. what people don't mention is that her husband himself found her bathing in the blood of the girls - he spent many months away from home, he didn't know she was a serial killer with so much eager for more... her relatives live there still and nobody denies her crimes. She dit it all, I have no doubt. She was a monster. I always knew about this woman, because at home we had books about her life, when I was a teenager...

  • @laurids2007 Thank you for the info! I think it's awesome you had books about her and her life. I didn't know her relatives are still alive to tell the tale. I've been wondering if she did this or not, but it remains interesting. It makes you wonder why someone would do such a horrible thing to another person.

  • @GoldenXBoots she did it because she liked. She did that for many years, indeed. Serial killers have pleasure in their actions, they don't need conscience about they do or empathy for the victims, because they don't have any feelings for the ones they kill. They are hollow. The only feeling they have is that excitement when they act as killers. then they go to sleep quietly, as if they did not do any horrible thing. Simple as that!

  • Wow thats intense! I hadnt heard of her before, thankyou so much :)

  • @tallguy2 You should watch the following movies: (i) The Countess; and the other one (ii) Eternal..both reflecting her dark life.
