  • I love this, I've watched it maybe 10 times in the past few days

  • And to say that Roldolf Vieira has goos tournament style Jiu-Jitsu is ridiculous! He has some of the most purest form of jiu-jitsu using transitions & leverage that is around! He is all around an incredible guard passer(probably the best by far today!) & an incredible guard player & attacker which is what you need to be whether it be no gi, gi, or on the street. He would be an incredible MMA fighter for sure!& this thing of Kron talking about fighting on the street?Carlson Gracie's line Best MMA

  • I love this video&respect Kron & how well he has done in jiu-jitsu from the evolution of jiu-jitsu & Rickson(1 of The Greatest Ever!)& The Helio lineage but it is amazing to me that they never speak of the truth that Carlos Gracie is who taught Helio Gracie all of the jiu-jitsu he ever knew&Carlos Gracie is who developed all of those guard techniques he is speaking of.Carlos Gracie was also very small&was known to have the best guard ever of any Gracie.Rolls Gracie beat every Gracie in training!

  • Anyone on youtube can look up the old Tsunetane Oda videos from the 30s and plainly see that there were AWESOME guard players (as well as 90% of the common BJJ techniques) back before Helio was in diapers.

I love BJJ, but lets cut the shit here.

  • in judo's ne waza the guard was never so offensive in competition that is what kron wanted to say i guess so the gracies made the guard much more offensive and made submission from there more efficient, i have rolled with judo black belts and i have been training for 1.5 years in bjj and i believe the technique we use is much more effective using leverage, pure judo is all about base and strength.

  • @scarred10 who are you a brown belt under?

  • Rodolfo Viera has beautifull tournament style bjj. But even Luiz Franca would be amazed by how diferent Jiu Jitsu looks now.

  • Kron is the man.

  • This is so valuable, thanks for posting this. How did he allow filming at his seminar?

  • @Gavanshir Our head photographer Masi B from Masi Photography

got this candid video of him speaking them asked him if we could share this and he was very gracious in allowing us to do so

  • he's like a little Rickson.

  • There is a whole non-gracie lineage under luiz franca. They currently have a BJJ world champion- Rodolfo Vieira.

  • @devinthedewd I signed in to post this exact same thing, thanks

  • Anyone notice Kron loves like Diego Sanchez?

  • @TechniqueIsBorn he attempts to prove it with each comp he enters, its not a real situation since he doesnt fight mma.Nobody has done anything with rubber guard on him yet.Denny prokopos would be the best bravo student so far and he wouldnt be up to kron as a grappler yet.Kron has a long way to go in age and performance to prove hes the greatest but hes on his way for sure.

  • @scarred10 immature kid fighting on the internet....or guy who competes in the top comps in the world...

  • @Jamsandwich Im not fighting ,im arguing.I trained in his gym with his father when he was a child.

  • @Jamsandwich No just a severe case of lacking self-esteem. Just read him bitch about everything and anything under so many videos. "Mr Martial Arts Nobody" is unfortunately a common type.

  • @TechniqueIsBorn cool story bro, street fights you have been in....0. Sport IBJJ ruled JIu Jitsu is not meant to test self defense. Any position where you do not have control of both your opponents hands means your getting punched in real life.

  • @Jamsandwich not true, rarely is wrist control achieved in mma for extended times. You need to control distance when your on the bottom, you keep him either too close or too far away to hit with power.

  • OMG! i didn't know Kron was in Vancouver!

God damn it i missed it (or is it open to people from other gyms?)

  • Respect to the Gracies but people in the States ignore the Fadda side of the lineage from Maeda.

  • @yuukijensen Nova União bro

  • @yuukijensen Rodolfo Vieira definitely put lot of spotlight on Fadda/GF team in recent years, well deserved.

  • @yuukijensen they dont know about it,not that they ignore it.Its exactly the same art anyway. It was luiz franca that learned from maeda not fadda, franca then taught fadda.

  • @scarred10 WOW!!! u dont like him much do u?! allow me 2 correct some of wat u said, wen Maeda arrived 2 Brazil his art was still referred 2 as Kano ju jutsu ,it wasnt until 1925 wen da japs officially changed it to judo which by that time the gracie's had already opened their academy and named it Gracie jiu jitsu ,i dont really know whether he was able 2 do any pullups and neither do u,i frankly find it odd that u talk crap about the Gracie family although u claim 2 b brown b in bjj?!

  • @leothephantom7 ive actually trained under rickson in LA in the late 90s for a few months and hes an incredible grappler. However he and most gracies suffer from mass delusion where helio and the uniqueness of bjj is concerned,im not talking crap on them, its the truth as far as everyone outside their family is concerned.I just ignore the obvious bullshit claims rickson came out with and picked out the gems in his advice of which there were many.Helio was in great shape as a young fighter

  • @scarred10 u might b right regarding how much they exaggerate when it comes to bjj and helio but we can not ignore the fact that they are a part of something really huge and we partially owe them for introducing to the world this amazing art along with creating the ufc

  • @leothephantom7 id agree about that.I find it hard to understand how rickson dodged all the great competitors during the 90s when he was only in his 30s.I trained 5 days a week and competed regularly right up to 39 yrs old and never in the masters division.Id still be doing it but for injury. When rickson arrived in the states he was 30 and he never grappled competively again except the clowns he fought in mma in japan who could even fight. He may have been the best sub grappler but unproven

  • he talks a lot like his father in terms in his thoughts and ideas;

there is no doubt that rickson gracie is the greatest bjj of all time

  • when was this filmed?

  • Amazing. You are sooo lucky to train with Kron!
