Love this song, this is what you call music when people were together and living in harmony, music in the 1980s made people feel good about themselves and people had fun, i love all my black 80s singers such talent.
I think he was singing live on this performance. It's very well blended in with the backing track and very rare back then for a singer to sing completely live on TV!
This song reminds me about june 1985, or so, when I was kicked out of one of the most fashionable disco clubs of Jesolo (40 km - 25 miles from Venice, Italy) because of my alcoholic state of mind. Great times!
Thanks for posting this video!!! I love this song, this reminds me when I was much younger, loong nights dancing at places like "If" or "Oh! Madrid"... back in the eighties...:-) This song made and makes me feel sooooo real... :-)
Call me old.. but this music makes me feel alive! Good times on the dancefloor... singing into the air mic & sharing it with the girl next to you... shimmying on over to the cute boy and just lovin the tunes!!
Impression minds who can't tell the difference between reality and fantasy. It over simplification to blame todays society on which genre of music the youth are listening to.
There was gun crime long before so called gangsta rap was first thought of. Anyway the genre was first developed in the around the late 1980's. Most critics believe the 1970's was the best decade for music .
Gun crime was not an issue in britain in the eighties i.e kids getting shot and life having no value to our urban youth. This is what AUTORECOVERYUK meant to say in my opinion, and that the music of the past few years (since the early nineties) has only helped to fuel the decline in our kids morals and worth.
Todays music in comparison is more sleezy (R&B) and Violent (Rap) which is bound to influence the impressionable minds of our youth.
I'm no critic but in my opinion eighties music RULES !
Great song from the best era in music the 80's. In those days music was happy feel good and even sung about love and happy times. Unlike the trash of today that is all about gangster ego guns drugs and slapping up a "bitch". Its no wonder the youth of today is in so much trouble and gun crime etc is so high in the world. If music like this was still around the times and people may well be a lot happier and the world may be a safer place for the youths of today. Great video thanks for posting it.
