  • ___ w w w diymagneticmotor com has some serious PLAN

  • Damn you back fire !!!

  • umm.. I think "overharmonic" is a pretty apt description - the height of the vertical axis is just at the extreme edge of the ability of the magnetic field to maintain its vertical alignment and the whole thing vibrates a bit and is corrected by the magenetic field -

    .

  • You have the shaft apparently suspended between "two" magnets, nearly frictionless....good job.

  • i guess base magnets should be a circle round and not with corners

  • make it good bro....

  • "energy transfer system" ??? where is it being transfered to, outside of itself?

    Very nice magnetic oscillator.

    Kind of like a pendulum.

  • wao allmost like a turbine

  • QUESTION: If this design requires magnetic balance with no contact at the top, and a top-like point at the bottom, where and how would you attach this device to a shaft or motor to do work?

  • use dry silicone or graphite under the bottom of the axis, where it meets the glass. reduce friction even more, and try the vacum.

  • I have a very simple repeatable auto reversing demo and in some cases the rotating part accelerates in one or the other directions ..Don't know why check my video..

  • This is just as simple as the movements of a pendulum. It just has very little losses, so it goes on for a while.

  • I dont think this can be an infinate source of energy, but i still have an idea. Why does it stop anyway? I think it is because of air friction, so you would have to place it into a vacuum to achieve 0 air friction. maybe then it will spin forever. What do u think?

  • the only reason i can think of why it reversed is if you spun it in the wrong direction in the first place. am i correct?

  • if you people manage to create magnet motor wich doenst stop this could be a great almost infinite source of energy ;D

  • Comment removed

  • dude as long as u can get something to move you can always harness energy from it

  • it's pretty

  • Good luck with your Permanent Magnet Motor.

I wasted a lot of time and money -- building a lot of prototypes of PMM but to no avail.

  • what is observed at the end of this video is simply low-loss simple harmonic motion. the same as a clock pendulum, only with a magnetic bearing. Try this whole setup in a vacuum and you'll obviously get an ever longer wind-down period. Nicely balanced though!

  • Nice try but it is not good! search the you tube a litttttle deeper!!! BTW you can`t ignore the friction if you want it in engine there has to be a friction!!! Good luck keep working!!

  • I strongly believe that based upon your extra low friction device that it would run as long, possibly longer if you removed the magnets around it.

Regardless, you can quickly see that it begins to slow. I wrote you a while back telling you how you can improve the dynamics of your device; yet you have not implemented/tried my suggestion.

I have now released a blueprint for you, and this time around you might want to experiment with what I am now openly sharing via my open source as promised.

  • Very nice, well done

  • to ymi2b, i have been closed minded lately and only thought of shielding for the outside ring as my approach because of balance on the rotor. this last week i have thought of coming up with a way to apply it to the rotor just have you suggested to the side magnets and maintain balance. seeing and feeling magnetically some comercial designed shielding has given me the right technique's to approach this subject.i know it works, it's just applying it to engineering specs and design. tnx for idea

  • Nice Job! I thing one of the answears is just under the fibonacci number...look at the outside ring, it look like a fibonacci secuence...its in all evolved nature...maybe it can help us...

  • for "shielding" you should try pyrolytic graphite or bismuth -- pyrolytic graphite is the lightest alternate, but expensive. Bismuth is cheap and easily molded with a simple blowtorch and casting mold. Your magnets are so well blanaced I am inclined to believe that placing graphite at the same side of each of the armature assembly's magnets just might give you a much longer spin time.

  • drevtoobe, travel with my past few video then you'll see that i have been totally involved with rotation after 360degree turns had ceased.working to increase the #of 355deg turns.i was tuning/exper. with model and then this great moment happens, reverse rotation. the motor will do this consist, trial after trial at a ratio of 2-3out of 5 tries now.i have not been able to walk away from it for two days now in amazement.i do appreciate your comment for it gives me comfort to give you the story here.

  • to concentrationcamps, i have been brainstorming with samples on how to apply shielding so that the diversion of the fields can be effective enough and not just a diversion that leads the magnetic field back to the starting point. i have been studying and working with the pull-push action of force with the magnets on k-Mets at the moment.

  • Guess you're not going to try my suggestion and incorporate shielding.

  • to paypascal and labpsycho. your suggestion is the idea i started out with and i have been working so hard on the balance and learning so much that the time will come to add your suggestions. on a 3 coil coreless inductor small wrap i gathered 35 microvolts at 250 rpm. i can fit/make a coil system that will have 10 coils and heavier.this should produce 250 microvolts at 360 rpm or more. the coreless inductors have no drag, less power but no drag.then power to capacitor and triggered discharge.

  • That is so easy to fake, the few extra reverse turns. There is nothing really going on in this clip. I am looking at a spinning disk with very low friction slowing down slowly, just like it is supposed to.

  • Variablestatus- Nice work! It looks like you have a lot of prototypes in the works. Do you have access to a small, audio type millihenry or less value inductor(coil)? It would be interesting to see if you can pick up any voltage from that oscillation at the end. I have tried this kind of setup (like CLANZERS V-gate) and places a small inductor near the rolling magnet. As it passes the inductor, I am able to measure very small (50-100 microvolts). Next will be to use it to charge a capacitor.

  • Could you try using a generator to transfer the kinetic power to electric power and then use the electric power to speed it up by pulsing it.

So use the energy it's generating to pulse it and increase the speed. :D

  • How long did it go on rocking back and forth ?
