Actually, those are legally considered real sports & therefore, it's allowed.
Pro-wrestling is considered entertainment, not a sport (which is why steroids are treated with much more leniancy) therefore, it is not.

Waivers are for any slip ups/accidents that may result from the manuevers where they fake hitting,
but, technically, real assault contact is not allowed.
Real punches to the face result in swelling & bruises, which, in wrestling, you don't see.

when ever wrestlers punch each other they always FAKE getting knocked out. the only time when they will get knocked out is by an accident. but in the UFC people get knocked out all of the time legitimately, because they are FIGHTING not play around and making it seem like there getting tossed around by jumping with there opponents for instance a choke slam ,if the guy that is being slammed didn't jump when he was being choke slammed then the move wouldn't work.

I was a 'pro wrestIer' for a 2 yrs, bumps hurt a little but not too bad, most modern rings are pretty good to work and its kind of like landing on a spring loaded gym mat, and i took all kinds of shit beniot head buts, missed moonsaults etc. All fights have a predetermined ending, the thing that upsets people is when fans pretend its a real fight and its not. END OF STORY! If you wanna watch a fight watch MMA, if you want light entertainment watch PW. Just dont get the two things mixed up.
