the highlands in 83 - they seemed so old and wise. now they look so young, fresh and brilliant. watching pete is so sad. what a fabulous band. U2 were never this good.
"Your port in my heavy storms harbours the blackest thoughts". My all-time fave Bunnymen song. How it failed to make it onto either of the 'Best of' compilations is baffling.
Absolutely one of THE BEST songs I've ever heard-would have to be one of the ten songs I'd take with me if stranded on that proverbial desert with nothing else to listen to! One of THE GREATEST BANDS EVER!!
great post. albums worth of heart-tunes only smiths came close and that is being nice to mozza. fell in love, married, had kids to this lot. what about 'over the wall' live? thanks
...I love this song! I joined the merchant marines 17 years ago and went to sea with their music. I remember recording my vinyl to TDK cassettes before my first trip out to sea. I still have it all.
Though I have listened to The Killing Moon more times than any other song ever (sentimental value), this is by far my favorite song. Echo at their very best...I miss the 80's...;o(
going to see the boys in the Lpool 2morrow 15122006 - can't wait! 23 years as a fan some 70+ Gigs done and still love every minute of the older crooner! THE GREATEST BAND EVER! BOLD(yes) But yes so is MAC and thats always worked in life! Great Vid.
could be what you're hoping for. saw them 6 yrs ago in Stockholm. shitty club, but awesome sound. his voice was rough at times, but then they did this song as a last encore...and actually pulled off the refrain at the end like 20 yrs ago! the hair raised on my neck...i thought, my god he's going to hurt himself....it was truly amazing, like he wanted to say that he could still do it

I saw Echo on a tour with New Order and Gene Loves Jezebel in Utah in the mid 80's. Good times.

Four of the most talented musicians to come out of this rainy little island. Pete De Freitas = drumming legend.

I saw these guys live in philly around 1985. They headlined with New Order and Gene Loves jezebel. That was probably the best concert I ever went to.

the Sugarcubes also played that concert at the Mann music center....great show
