I agree with most of what you say...but there have been plenty of times when people have done the job (in non-title matches admittedly) to 'local boys' below their card position. Triple H has laid down for Jerry Lawler over and over in Memphis...it's about respect. PCO and Nash clearly had none for each other.

1.PCO lied when he said he was told he was getting the title. He was a midcard jobber, no way would he even have gotten a dq win over Diesel. He never even got a televised IC title shot......

2. Nash was the company's biggest star at the time, and the World champion, he shouldn't be losing to anyone on house shows, local boy or not.
