actually you need a degree from high school just to get in the army, and then there are weeks and weeks of training plus most of the people who enlist have gone hunting or were afiliated with some gang, so yeah America breeds better soldiers than anywhere on earth and dont forget it!

I live in Scotland and I joined the Army a few years ago, degree or no degree, you can still be an effective soldier. It's only been since the 60's to 70's that the Brits and the US improved their infranty through tougher conditioning, namely- the capacity to kill. Which only 15% of soldiers had in WWII.
