  • Slanted backs and straight back in GSD are the fundamental difference between German lines and American lines. Actually slanted back German Sheppard are said to be more agile...you're just stupid...stop jumping on youtube acting like you know everything ..because you know nothing......BEEEEATCHHHH!!!!!!

  • This is so sad...hes/she is so pretty ...how do you avoid this?

  • @SecOfunk remember me f***face! You want to know how this happens.... Idiotic showline breeders who breed German shepherds with slanted backs.... it's the slanted backs that contribute highly to hip displasia! That's a proven fact! I think showline breeders who breed for slanted back's are disgusting humans! You.... your just a f'n moron!

  • @1sowild Please, show me proof if there is any. Do you prefer the straight-back, over-angulated GSDs that have no work ethic and can't walk in a straight line? American line shepherds should be a breed of their own. Being pretty is NOT enough to be a GSD!

  • @MrOzzyPom im sorry your too ignorant to realize the German shepherd was NEVER meant to be a pretty showline dog!! They were bread to be a multi tasking livestock guardian/herding dog.. to both defend the herd from predators and to also herd them. Btw, i think the straight back, stocky built, working line German shepherd looks wayyyyyyyyyyy better than the skinny, slant back, hip displasia stricken showline type! American showline breeders are ruining a good breed!!

  • @1sowild Both of you who gives a d***, most important, regardless of what back he/she has, is that they don't have this horrible insidious disease.

  • @1sowild I think you mis-read my comment. I mean that American GSDs should be a breed of their own, due to the fact that breeders have destroyed them and breed for nothing but a title that says the dog is pretty, even if the dog has a horrid temperament. Most American GSD breeders say, "Dog has AKC conformation titles and a flying trot, time to breed him/her!"

  • @MrOzzyPom ohhh, ok, i am so sorry, i did mis read your comment, so i apologize :-)

  • @SecOfunk You get a puppy from a breeder who tests their dogs for DM. There's a genetic test that can be done to see if a dog is a carrier.

  • @MrOzzyPom I found a local working line breeder that tests for it that I'm looking to get a puppy from in the future.

Unfortunately, not many breeders test for this disease. As it grows more common, more breeders are beginning to test for it, though.

  • I have been watching my dog, he is about 3 years old I believe, and I found him the in kitchen smelling the food, he knows his not supposed to do this, and he tried to sit down but his hind legs started shaking. Ive noticed this before. I told my mother about it but she thinks his fine and wont take him to vet. Are these symptoms or signs of CDRM?

  • Hello again, is the disease of your dog similar to or caused by the mad cow disease (bovine spongiform encephalopathy).
