Dr. Kevorkian is one of many people that has the BALLS to stand up against fear:death. And people that oppose it are in fear of the Dr and his doings and the people that don't simply understand life.
i used to be adamant about the right to die until i learned about the disability rights arguments against physician assisted suicide. but either way i love kevorkian, he's one of my heros

Being the single person who chooses whether or not to assist in their suicides. Most people would focus on finding better treatments and cures for diseases to alleviate suffering, he seemed to be much more interested in death. I think the right to die was used as an excuse to give him the opportunity to assist in suicides while appearing compassionate.

Yes, most people do focus on finding better cures but in the meantime, we also have to do something about the thousands of conditions that cant be cured. And there will always be alot of uncurable conditions.
I really dont know how can anyone feel they have the right to deny someones wish to die. Its their call, not yours.

@theaudieriggs so true. I've had a cat die of kidney disease and one die of cancer....it was a horrible death and we had the option of putting them to sleep so they wouldn't have to suffer. Last year my aunt passed away from cancer and it was a horrible, horrible thing to witness. She was in terrible pain for months and morphine, dilauded...every high powered drug you can imagine didn't help. We have it all backwards in this country.
HOSPITALS are a business a very BAD, GREEDY, SELFISH AND DISHONEST business. Hospitals do not want the laws changed, so they can suck the last dollar out of your insurance company. Let the patient in agony linger as long as possible...it's PROFITABLE!
