@siccsoul916 WRONG, AP parts are all made in the USA, thats why their so expensive. $1200 just for the muffler, most exhaust sets for this car run at the same price, thats including the muffler and all the pipes.

Vivid racing (in Arizona) owns AP but all their parts are made in China, hence why AP parts tend to be a bit cheaper than like competitors parts made in the US, Japan, or Germany. Ever notice why not one magazine publication or professional racer/team boasts AP parts?

Anyways I don't care where they are made, im not sticking up for anyone. $1200 for just a muffler is way to expensive for me. I got a 330ci and I want to do a rear bmw conversion this fall so i can't spend just $1200 on a muffler. AP prices are ridiculous

I have this exhaust on my M3 with headers and no cats. All I can say is that the car is very very loud. It sounds really good if you like noise and every one to stare at you and all the cops on the road to pull you over thinking that you're speeding. LOL The car at 3000 rpm sounds like it's doing 6000 rpm. That's my review of this exhaust. Also don't forget I am running headers wit no cats so basically straight pipes.

BMWs in my opinion don't sound very raspy, it's more a husky, refined yet wailing sound in the higher revs, this is just too high-pitched and trebled.

But they are fast in stock form, my friends put down 300whp on a dyno with only headers no cats and no mufflers at all and and intake. So i dont think you know much about cars.

e46 m3's have a huge amount of rasp, a few companies have made midpipes that fix it, but a simple catback won't. some people like the rasp, and i personally think it sounds WAY better in person.

@JeffroGymnast, I agree totally and the BMW 6 cylinder rasp is like nothing else, beautiful metallic sound to them.

This system is nothing like the BMW system or any other decent performance job, it's such an awful noise, it sounds dreadful. Infact it sounds almost identical to my old Fiesta XR2 when the centre pipe corroded and snapped.

It's really hard to stop the rasp in a E46. Some companies stack resonators one after another on their exhuasts for the M3. I once held a BMW club dyno day, never again. Even the deaf and dumb owners were complaining about their sperm hurting. No Honda can rasp like a E46.
