@tessaring - but don't you think we should bring them up well enough to figure out future problems and challenges? Suppose you think we should just fuck up the environment as well cos we'll be dead before it gets too bad?

WE don't need to do anything TO children IN ORDER TO PRODUCE anything what WE NEED!. Children are the future - individual human souls with unique talents, tasks and inner wealth to share with the world -like all of us, but we have been crippled. We should support them that they don't lose this ability like we - they know better what they will need than we today: We will be dead anyway when they have to figure out future problems and challenges

So we need to educate our children to be a nation of creative artists and thinkers. As though the other nations in Eurasia won't also do that. The adavantage they will have is they will still be producing their own goods and we will not.
Instead of pushing ever forward maybe we should return to smaller self producing communities, where the artsy thinker is also the craftsman producer. I am a designer with one main rule. You design it, you build it. This keeps you rooted in reality.
