Incidentally, most stun-guns give out a charge with 1 amp - keeping in mind that half an amp is enough to kill someone.

There are some great claims on you tube regarding stun guns. I assure you 1m volts would drop anyone, even lowampage. It takes 30,000 volts to clear 1cm of air space at sea level, if you look at the gap between the inward facing prongs, it's probably about 2cm. That means about 60,000 volts, that's about standard for a stun gun. Ouch all the same but 1,000,000v no way.

@anjunafae forget the voltage, it indicates the penetration ability so u can shock trough multiple layers of clothing, leather jacket, etc. (and those things can reduce the kick a LOT)

but if you'll be zaping to sensible areas, like groin, armpit, neck, chin it won't matter much

what gives the kick power are the AMPs (amperes), but carefull with those 0.1A is enough to stop a heart
