It looks like a pretty seaside town. I wonder if it had a similar history to Jamestown which had a nasty colonial past where nearly everyone apparently went mad and there was a massacre. We later found out that in the new world, the Rye goes moldy in the new conditions, and the mold causes hallucinations. In the hallucinations, some people could appear to be witches. I wonder if they knew at the time that people were tripping on the Rye seeds which were moldy?
