  • cute! lol

  • C'est Magnifique! :)

  • Great Video man. You inspired me to make my own. Please check out my video of Chaplin singing and dancing!

  • Wow, I like this, the setting for your films is beautiiful very fitting. Scott Joplin's piano rags too, very suited to the performance. From one chaplin fan to another, well done =D xxx

  • La genialidad de Charles Chaplin es indiscutible.

Gracias amigo Angelo por hacérmelo recordar.

    Un saludo.

    José Luis, arpista.

  • Ah Maestro, you always emulate the tramp so well. You should do more of these. Always a joy to watch.

  • OMG. AMAZING!! You embody him perfectly. Keep em coming Angelo :)

  • i've seen the great Chaplin a zillion times...and if you hadn't said it was you, i wouldn't have known the difference...i'm still not sure!!

  • This is like watching Chaplin himself. It's like you become him. The way you can tap into that is remarkable!

Now I must watch your other sketches.

  • So much of our humour relies on language - hence it is with refreshing delight that one discovers the irresistible ability of silent comedy to make one laugh, hehe! The ability of silent comedy to transcend language barriers is an aspect that also makes it exceedingly difficult to master - and yet, you have, dear Angelo. These snippets were marvelous, endearing and utterly hilarious, hehe! ^^

  • Love love love it!! Amazing job!

  • One Chaplin impersonator to another, thanks;) that means alot.

  • As always, nicely done - I want to see more. Perfect location,

looks like the suburbs of that era! Great stuff - Cortlandt

  • Thanks. It was filmed in a small town in rural America. The lamp posts must have been from the late 18th century. They were no longer gas, but still I just had to put the character next to one. Set is so important as you know!;)

  • It takes a master to walk in a master's shoes so SEEMINGLY effortlessly...

    Brilliant!

  • Excellent impersonation!! As a big Chaplin fan these clips thrill me as I see you understand the poetry that underlies his nuances. Next time you might want to get baggier pants though; the ones you wore look awfully tight on his character.

  • My friend,

I mentioned to you the other day how Chaplin's own impersonation of Caruso was so very close to the real thing. And so it is with you! You are magic!

  • My thanks ever. You play magic with your compliments. How fortunate I am for your broad range of tastes, your heart and friendship. Thank you for stopping by Phillip. Truly.

  • Excellent! Like watching a long lost clip from the man himself!

  • You are a man of many talents!

  • o_O I'm speachless...

  • Brilliant! The cane catch had me in stitches and the pole climbing was impressive in its own right!

You've truly captured this character to perfection. It simply amazes me how well you do this.

  • Thank you Michael!

You know that pole was hot in the July sun in Arkansas that year. When I slid down it (later edited in reverse) I was wincing. haha

I then had to walk out of the scene backwards.

I learned to climb poles like that when I was in Brasil as a boy. The asai trees were really like thin bendy poles. We would use a ring around our feet to get on up.

  • There is nobody like you, Angelo. I love when you catch your cane!

Faved and added to your playlist on my channel.

    Robby;)

  • nicely done!

  • Absolutely fabulous imitation of Chaplin! You have him down so well, I really think most people, myself included, would easily mistake your film for his! I think the only difference may be you are perhaps a foot taller? (only a guess) I genuinely laughed out loud heartily at the "pole climbing" shenanigans! hehe! :) The sound effects were perfect! -Thanks for the laughs! A very high quality effort, and I really enjoyed myself watching it! :) -Brian.

  • You are spot on. I am definitely about a foot taller. Yes. My head is smaller and my arms and legs are longer. Still, it is fun to play a character role. Truly.

    Thanks LovesMattersMost!

  • That was amazing!! You are so spot on with this character it's unbelievable. You could totally make a spoof movie like this and say you found a forgotten Charlie Chaplin film reel and sell it for millions. ^___^

  • Brilliant Chaplin impersonation, you really captured the essence, and the timing, of the all-time great comedian! Like going back in time, what a terrific job!

  • Most excellent portrayal, once again! I'd like to see you do this right down the street with your cameraperson on the other side of the street, catching everyone's reactions on video. You really are quite extraordinary, you know. Take these five stars and multiply them! * * * * *

  • bravo, that was wonderful.your impressions are fantastic..i watched his film modern times

the other night,i think it's one of his best films..peace..patrick

  • Your Chaplin videos are always a treat, Angelo and leave us thirsty for more!

  • Thank you for bringing a smile to my face! =)

  • nice video maybe you can make it into a story.

  • Thank you.

These are parts out of 10minute piece I did for my uni. We must have shot about 6hours of footage during the hot summer over a 2 week period.

I would love to do a film with my own character in it. My days acting Charlie were a great way to learn.

  • it was like watching a real charlie chaplin movie! very nice

  • Great. -Ron

  • Ahhhh! Quit showing off for Mone! :P

    Great stuff! 5*

  • Ahh, Mone. An internet sensation worth showing off for;)

  • Nom d'un chien, c'est étonnant!

  • EXCELLENT!! Bravo!!
