@darthbaka1463 thats the only part of the LOTR movies i dont like. im a HUGE fan, and i think the rest of the movies are pretty close to perfect, but i hated that scene. it was supposed to show frodo's strength and courage, and glorfindels power, but no they had to show arwen. dont get me wrong, i love arwen, but in the books she'd never do something like that. shes not that brave/powerful.

I personally think they did a great job with the lord of the rings. I like movies/books with a ton of action/adventure/mystery and with only a hint of romance (it is important because it helps you feel for the characters - when something bad or good happens to them. too much though and it starts to get a bit cheesy and boring...) THE LORD OF THE RINGS GOT IT RIGHT THOUGH!!!!!! :)

I felt the movie spent too much time on Arwen/Aragon (I'd rather have seen other parts of the book adapted than have a romance that barely qualified for a subplot expanded upon,) but this video was beautiful, and had a wonderful choice of song.

'We are on a mission to throw this magical artifact in a specific volcano before the evil bad guy finds us, tortures us, and takes over the world....BUT FIRST...let's show my elven girlfriend. And have her take over a scene that was supposed to demonstrate a different character's powers. AND a scene that was supposed to show Frodo's courage.'

Tolkien spent half his life building the world of Middle Earth through words. Made up languages for it.  Whole histories going back thousands of years. Amazing.

careful not to over do it! i find that repeated special effect lighting to be really annoying. i think if you picked just one spot it would have been a nice unique signature gesture. i would like to see this done over without the gimmicky special effect
