Back then most of the Multi platform games comes out on the Xbox 360 1st, then about a month later (about) they release not so good port of the games to the Playstation 3. Sony had gotten mad at the develpors after a while and brought the hammer down!
People did not spend $599 on the Playstation 3 just to play games that runs better on the Xbox 360 (cost about $399 at the time).
You must have pretty powerful PC for running game with high settings and fraps at the same time. And picture is better than my gamepay video recorded with fraps.
This is the first game I got for my Playstation 3, Best Buy threw in two free games and this was one of the two games I picked.
Rainbow Six Vegas 2 was pretty good as well, but not as good as Rainbow Six Vegas 1.
I thought it was a pretty good 1st Person Shooter, I haven't played it in three years though, once I played Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, it was hard to play Rainbow Six Vegas again.
I remember all the people around me kept talking about this on the 360, and how many of them were like "you need to get an HD TV to truly experience the 360 and this game!" I don't remember what the resolution for that would be, but I remember on DOOM 3s box on Xbox it said 480 was HD and that was like a year before.
This was a great game, however the graphics; while having nice effects did not impress me much. Was already seven months since oblivion; which on pc with a powerful videocard was the high water mark hands down till Crysis a year and a half later. Wasn't much to look at on the 360, but then again nothing that wasn't all grey and sepia brown was.
I still have a copy of Las Vegas for Xbox 360. Although I sold the RRoD crap years ago the game is still here and hopefully one day I will play it again. It was a huge improvement over previous Rainbow Six editions. Especially the new cover system.
@CrAzY3AGL3 Yeah okay except I wasn't really comparing the GAMES themselves since they're different types of FPS games and I was just referring to the graphics and how I remembered them all these years later.
You think modern warfare pushed DX9 to its limits and had revolutionary graphics for its time? Have you ever played crysis? Even on an XP-computer in DX9-mode it looks WAY better than MW, and it too was released late 2007.
@JonteP0nte Good point but when Crysis came out and I had a Dual Core with an 8600GTS I could only run Crysis on medium but I could play MW on Extra High so it was way better for me!
@MN12BIRD Yeah, but in many areas Crysis looks awesome even at medium settings! Perhaps you couldnt crank up the AA etc, but the shadows, physics and overall graphics still looks better even at medium IMHO.
Loved the online back a few years ago, calypso casino was the absolute fucking best map in that game. Good memories with Vegas and Vegas 2.
The original MW was great for the time but the engine has hardly changed at all and it shows its age.
The game actually looks better on 360 and plays better with the controller probably because that was the platform it was mainly designed for its just easier to use the cover and sights with a controller.
Thats like Road Rash I remembered playing that thinking they were the best graphics ever now when I break out my old PS1 its just sad looking when compared to today.
but still its one of my favorite games along with Test Drive Off Road Wide Open
The game looks pretty impressive for 2006, and Rainbow Six is an older series than Call of Duty, but informative video for people interested in playing this game, but it is a good game.
How are the servers online?

@Sypran Some people consider 480p HD but you only get 480i on regular composite you need component cables on XBOX to get 480p.
