Had 3 suzukis started with 750 katana 150 top speed then went to gsxr600 faster then the hat 162 now i have a k2 gsxr1000 180 plus anybody willing to go that fast has brass balls so any bike that can do those speed is a good bike in my opinion but suzukis can take all kinds of aabuse

Its really suprizing how fast the duke is considering its not made for straight line speed. I wonder how the 999r model would have done. Please race a desmosedici next time lol or stick a few twisties in.
@robertmike219 I've rode a bmw s1000rr but not a desmosedici, The desmo in its full state of tune if were talking about modifying can make more power than any normal spring valve system. its not all about power but usability. The Ducati 1198 road bike with a few mods can make more than the wsb bikes because they have air restrictors on them. Why isnt bmw winning races yet. I bet you that a wsb 1198 with no air restrictor would leave a s1000r for dust on a straight. The bmw is still nice bike tho

Second i find it VERY hard to believe anyone in their right mind would let YOU ride a D16RR its just too damn expensive and fast for just anyone to jump on. Ducati's are bread for the track and the new ones would rape any litre bike on the track AND quarter mile. The BMW's arent shit they are still in the final stages of devlopment and probably wouldn't stand a rapist's chance in prison against a D16RR.

Depends where mate, twin cylinder is great when you hit the twisties and four is good for top end. If it was just a short straight then it's who got the best throttle control. Drag racing don't win races though. Although I wouldn't be suprized if the new 1198 would win in a drag race.

Listen little guy i may have never had the privledge to ride a ducati but i've rode busa's zx10r's 636's just about every gixxer. Anyone can go fast in a straight its the corners that matter the most. That 1198 is a bad bitch i kno ive seen plenty on the road and from a stop it WILL rape your precious 1000 but from a roll if it doesnt pull on you it WILL hang all the way through the gears........
