  • your tap work is a bit easy foryour age your a teenager and your doing work of a 9/10 year old but good performance

  • She was good but her arms were not at all good xxx

  • wow

  • Your sounds were perfect!(: keep up the good work, one of my fave dances. Make a how to for this dance?

  • shes so dainty and sweet, i like this a lot :)

  • Love it

  • Here Tao sounds were clear.

    Keep up the good work!!!!!!!!!

  • Taps sounds were very clear

  • Tapping that would be exquisite. But then again, what kind of lawless world would we be living in, if we were allowed to tap anthing and anyone we wished, anytime we felt like it?

  • I'd love to tap that.

  • May I get your approval to use your beautiful tap video on my soon to be launched website of how tap should be and how much fun it can be. It is a family oriented website, and will let you know when we launch. Thank you for your review of my request. Cheryl Williams, San Antonio, Tx.

  • i'd taaaap that ;P

  • you're teacher should be shot.

  • wow u look beautiful...id dance with u any day

  • haha...if you just listen to it without watching the video...you might think someone is playing with bubblewrap :)

    no offense.

    talented :)

  • great dancer, boring choreo. Sorry but its true. They need to give her something upbeat and hyper. CHARLESTON! CHARLESTON!

  • Great sounds but i really dont understand the arms :S xx

  • Lindaaaaa!!!

  • i think im the only one who thinks your dance is the best btw where did you get your shoes and what brand?

  • very nice. Need better outfit and work on arm placement/stage presence...but your feet sound wonderful

  • oi ur arms...feel it, don't be so stiff about it. quite a boring routine, be more creative with your choreography... really nice sound though i like your taps

  • mh i dont like outfit and dance -.- it has a good sound but it is very boring sorry but let me my opinion :P

  • you're a good tapper, nice clear sounds but...

    your hair is boring,

    your costume is boring

    your arms are boring

and the dance is utterly boring!!

sorry, but true. try and do something more exciting!!

  • The dancing was pretty good, nice clear sounds, but a bit boring, and your arms were a tad sloppy, but you need a smile, and some attitude!

  • I Like The SOunds Of Your shoes..your taps are very lloose and make a lovelly sound...as a tap dancer myselfi bought goodshoes but the toe taps are bolted (a.k.a cnt loosen) i dont like them therefor as they make a flat sound :( I wont say the name for the sake of the company however it is a well known dance wear company acrooss the us

  • Can you buy teletones and take them to a cobbler?

  • Does anyone know what this music is?

  • i think it's Alexander's Rag Time Band

  • @poorbuthonest

    The music is called Hindustan

It's a special stop time version specifically for Tap

  • tap: ok

    dance:0

try to learn jazz girl..you'll be great!!

  • ur arms r horably and needs additude

  • ugh...this is killing me. sounds are good but the choreography is awful. someone get their hands on this girl and give her something amazing to perform.

  • Ah... the feet of a tap dancer and the arms of a ballerina...

  • awesome souds but the arms are a little much...

  • That's the pint. It makes the dance look better. I know from experience, they're just a useless peice of work! ^_^

  • This is amazing! All your sounds were perfectly clear!!

  • great

  • a little boring but your sound are very clear. you're a good tapper!

  • Your arms look way to unnatural and choreographed. For this age you need to be way more natural. You need a new studio.

  • That was really good, all the tap movements all was flowy and went smoothly. Good rythm and energy.

  • You have the look, you're getting the rythm and once you get confidence enough to loosen up you will develope the style. Go For It!

  • great job! make sure you keep smiling!

  • awesome sounds! towards the middle you lost your smile, but it came back. maybe you could loosen up a little bit. I thought you were excellent. keep tap dancing!

  • Taps are very clear, but you look too stiff. Loosen up and have fun!

  • don´t like the music!!! steps are great!

  • that was fantastic

    good stuff!

  • That was very nice!

  • I thought it was really good. She just needs to keep up energy and remember technique(like maybe sure her arms still look pretty during the chenaes.) Amazing sound though(:

  • good=]

  • Its not mean if she wants to be pro she should get good taps.

  • thats very good but some of the time you were rushing

  • :D nice job.

  • that is mean

  • i agree!.

  • i enjoyed it!

    Nice and clean :]

  • i agree

  • great sounds. everything is very clear.

  • she is very good.

    very good tap sounds

  • She's amazing. :)

  • Menina lindaaaaa, beijãooooo!!

  • yah your studio should get some faster songs and you guys would be great but you guys are good you just need better music!!!

  • you need to fix the taps on your shoes they are very loose

  • If her Taps were very loose there's no way she would have been able to produce those beats so clearly. The entire routine would be filled with an annoying jingle ,distracting from the beats being made.

  • i have been tap dancing for 16 years believe me they were loose

  • y love me , baby

The Simon Black Dancer , im best

  • lovely! Every sound was crisp and clear!

I love the light sounds style she has.

  • What a beautiful, clear sound! She's a very talented tap dancer.

  • i would really like too see all of you who are critisising put on a pair of tap shoes and perform a whole routine infront of an audience. so what if she made a few mistakes she is probably still learning. you looked great casecat01 :)

  • i completely agree!

  • As a performer it's a whole different matter to do your solo in front of an audience. A bit nervous at first, but what a thrill--nothing like it. And what a thrill to see such lovely dancing by a lovely person who loves what she's doing.

  • something just seems wrong about tap dancing to that slow of a song.

  • Nice clear sounds! ignore the lame-o's who have no idea what they're saying. Keep on smiling and tappin'!

  • awesome

  • I think the footwork and sound is very good but in general it did look a bit sloppy.

  • now look at ''katie tap dancing'' way better than yours.

  • Im not trying to discourage you but this is not your talent.

  • Shut the hell up. You don't know what you are talking about.

  • This is terrible she or you look sloppy very sloppy.when ever your doing this your suppose to look graceful with it and i agree with trucalling1214

  • Do you even have a clue as to what she's doing? This is a riff routine and if you knew that you'd know that a sloppy riff would sound more like scrapes as opposed to the clean clear beats she's producing.

  • Yeah you dumb people. She clear sounds. You guys go to hell. I don't see none of your videos. Talk is cheap.

  • i can still say that i thought it was bad whether you agree or not. can't you just agree to disagree? why must you be so belligerent over such an asinine issue? grow up. find better ways to waste your time instead of attacking people who are well within their rights. you've wasted enough of my time already.

  • just because i don't have the means to show you doesn't mean that i don't have the talent. and since you still refuse to reveal your experience (or lack there of), i'm just going to assume that you know nothing. also, try to learn some english.

  • you couldn't see me even if i posted them.

besides i don't need to explain myself to you.

who are you that you know so much?

  • Like I said, you can't tap. A true tapper would show their talent instead of talking about it. YOU SORRY. HAVE A NICE DAY.

  • i'm sorry but as a fellow tapper i'd have to say that was pretty bad. and what was with your arms?

  • This is a rhythmic style of tap. You may not be familiar with it as it's not as prevalent today. This routine requires a high level of control dynamics, accenting, clean clear taps and a solid understanding of count.

She handled it very well and had an effortless quality and relaxed ankles which contributed to her clean sound.

Not ever routine is about tricks. This one focuses on technique.

  • Shut the hell up!! You don't know what you are talking about. She's real good you punk

  • first of all i don't have to shut up. freedom of speech in case you forgot. second of all i know a lot about tap...i teach an advanced class. third of all i don't use tricks. fourth of all no one has explained the arms or the no sound wings for that matter. fifth of all how many of you don't know her and can make an honest unbiased opinion?...that's what i thought.

  • What's wrong with her arms? At competition she was complimented for her port de bras.

There are no wings in this routine at all, perhaps you're mistaking the 4c. double pick-ups in 2nd position, then R crossed front, 2nd position then R crossed back for wings?? What time in the video are the steps in question ? I'm the only one who knows her , so the opinions you're reading here are unbiased.

  • i don't what competition that was but whatever you say. 0:41

  • You talk about the girl but you can't say anything. Where are your tap videos.

  • This video could be used as a reference standard for the recording of tap dance performances. The very good picture qualitiy speaks for itself, and the sound is simply superb, just like the best live recordings of the 40ies (including floor mics etc.). Together with a perfect floor and a really good performer it´s the best tap vid ever published here. Please keep up this great work!

  • Aside from the terrific performance, this is about the best video and sound quality I have ever seen on YouTube. Also, the floor is perfect for tap, and the taps are tightened just perfectly for a really lively sound. What type of camera was used, and what type of video file did you upload?

  • Thanks,

The main camera was a Panasonic DVX100B, the secondary camera was a Canon GL2. There were two hanging mics over the stage feeding directly to the camera in addition to an audio feed directly form the house sound board. The original file was miniDV (720x480) edited in Sony Vegas. This was rendered to a Sony ANC/AAC mp4 file (320x240) with a video bitrate of 768kbps and an audio rate of 128kbps.

  • her sounds are very clear, but i am a competative tap dancer and i think that she should have used more upper body, as well as more difficult choreo.
