  • So the difference between a Leatherman and a SOG (ATM) is that the leather-man has more tools that can be used with the pliers closed than the SOG?

  • What was the name of the first sheath?

  • Which SOG multi tool would be the best for in case of survival / disaster / emergency ? Which model and why?

  • I like that Auto Assist version we reiewed, but I think it's personal taste and how often and how you use your tool

I quit carrying the large tool on my belt and started carrying it in my bag

  • great video, what do you think of the Victorinox SwissTool compared to these sog models?

  • I hear they are great, but I just haven't had my hands on them long enough to remember them or compare them.. I'll try to get one to see how they are and see why they get such positive reviews

  • SOG needs to buy themselves a leatherman WAVE and just copy everything about it. Add an awl.

  • @TadRapidly

I like how the tools are available from the closed position in the Wave, but I love SOG's gear driven pliers.

  • yup. hopefully leatherman will steel the design. ;-)

  • where do you get the auto assist one? and how much will it cost?

  • less than $100 from the SOG website

  • Love my Powerloc. Sure it's like a brick on my hip, but it's my brick and it works.

  • SOG is the only multi tool i haven't owned but they look really nice! I have broke a Gerber and a Leatherman but my Schrade tough tool(made in USA) has been great over the last 3 years.Don't buy the made in China one though it will disappoint you. Thanks for the info!

  • Nice video man.. No mention of the unique ParaTool with the angeled plierhead though. My favourite.. :)

  • we don't have that kind

  • @GearBuyersGuide - I guess thats since the Paratool is an older concept and not a new item that needs marketing. :) The ParaTool has actually been in production for 18 years or so. It was the first with replaceable tools though, and although it has no lock for the tools, it does not have the problem with the tool side pointing out when using the pliers.

  • GJ dude.
