So what mixes do you use for the colors?

Potassium Chloride for the crimson

Copper sulfate for the green

Blue (Copper(I) chloride didn't work well with out going to green.

That would work but I would not put it in your mouth, unless you are using table salt (yellow). We just sprinkle the different chemicals on the torch.

So just the powdered chemicals sprinkled on the Kevlar, using white gas as your fuel? Or are you using a different fuel altogether?

We just used paper towels as the wicks and sprinkled on that. If the color isn't great when you light the torch it won't be great when you blow. It takes a little monkeying around, but once you figure what works it is super easy. As for fuels, we used Bacardi 151, I am not sure if kerosene will work because the salts will not be as soluble in that, as they are in alcohols, although we didn't try.
