Not every Merc/commando is playing the class to it's full potential. Faction is actually using concussion missle for CC, using a instant cast grenade, and probably the equivalent to demolition round which does 25% more damage with 5 stacks of the armor debuff which takes 3 grav rounds and is a merc/commando hardest hitting ability when specced in the middle tree (gunnery for commando). EVERY class can be played with just one ability except sentinel. The Rakata bonus makes us spam tracer/grav.
This is meant to be a gameplay video, can you please show us other parts of the Bounty Hunter other than the Tracer Missile. I want to see other abilities being used so I can see the Mercenaries full potential, all this video has taught me is
I know that Arsenal/gunnery arent the best for pvp, but if played right they can be effective. You dont play it right at all. Randomly hitting heat seakers before any stacks of tracer is a HUGE failure. The only way to do it is to get the drop on an enemy so you have to do minimal kiting. Get a few tracers off before they locate you and shoot heatseakers then stun, shoot 2 more tracers and a rail. Its a broken class in pvp anyway, go pyro

they must change the mechanic of tracer missile and what it does so thet mercs dont't have to use it so much in order to build dmg.i don't care if they nerf it's dmg just do this..give us more cc(reduce electro dart cd in let's say 20 sec),a sprint ability perhaps(or a rocket boost ability)so we can build some distance from the opponent,reduce the 2min cd of our bubble to 1min and we have a deal.
Tracer Missile x120481204. I don't blame the player, I blame Bioware. How could they make a class this stupid? As a Jedi Guardian I cry everytime I meet these fellas. While I'm spamming 20+ keybindings, I see these Mercenaries doing the same shit over and over and over. I play i Trooper myself, mirrorclass of the Mercenary (with some disadventages tho :D).
I played that 2 button specc until lvl 30. In the beginning it is fun, doin ridiculous damage on everything, even on a low lvl. But it get´ss boring really really fast. So i decided to change to heal - now I´m lvl 50 Healtroop - that´s more fun.
I guess Mercs/Troops that play that rocket specc are just to lazy to play challenging pvp.
Sad part is this is exactly what to do in pvp, spam that god damn missile. My sentinel would do fine if I could interior the damn thing but there is probably something that makes it impossible to interrupt. It's sad really because i am going to think about things and learn my class so that I can beat this one, already I am learning to just chain my CDs so that these guys are a joke
wow, not to sound like a jerk. But I have a body guard who did more damage at level 30. At 43 now I'm pulling in 100k damage and 300k+ heals. check it out
Tracer missile even with its armor reduction and heat signature, really isn't that good. If you're arsenal BH, then unload and power shot both hit for more dmg than tracer missile. Tracer just good to setup your other missiles.
@faction60 tracer only sets up other attacks. By itself it doesn't dish out more damage than Pwr shot or unload, I use them both and neither of them ever do less dmg than tracer missiles. This is why BH's get eaten up by real players. By the time they are done trying to spam tracer missiles, someone already burst dmg/cc'd them where they stood. Tracer missiles are only good when no one else is even attacking you just how you are using it in your videos. Otherwise it's not jesus.
@faction60 If you notice the part where you're low HP trying to heal and dood is murdering you...Yea you can't really spam tracer missile in this situation, but if you had used your stuns/snares and popped your NOCDS , get your shield up etc. You might have been able to rape that scrub. Not to mention you're standing in his attks. People who spam tracer missiles are lunch for real players. We use that time span to roflstomp the nubs who think they can tracer spam.
@faction60 I'm an Arsenal BH and I would never sit there and spam tracer missile unless I'm setting up a cherry pick and I have no one even attacking me. If I'm out of LOS of anyone near me, then I'll tracer once or twice then setup the killing blows. Tracer is only a setup though, it's not the main attacks. If all you use is tracer missiles then you will eventually get caught by someone who knows how to murder people with continual casting bars....
@matyas123498 Tracer Missiles are only used for their heat signatures and as an opener to reduce armor. Once the max amount of debuffs are up, tracer missiles are useless, because there are many more skills that far out dmg tracer missiles.
The tracer missile comes from the arsenal skill tree. Pyrotech's use pretty much all there abilities while being very mobile. Anyways, it's not the BH class that spams tracer missile, only arsenal BHs do

Btw hes spamming Tracers not because he's a bad PLAYER, but because playing an arsenal Merc u have no better option. Even in close quarters. All u have are: Tracers, Heatseeking (which have CD), Railshot (which has CD) and Unload (which has CD). To execute Tracers and Unload u have to stand still. Which makes u having only 2 mobile damage spells, which both have a moderate CD. Speaking only of spells which can compete in damage with Tracers.
@JstLetMeBeWRAiiTH First 3 minutes, he didn't even used Unload... But he actually has +75%damage procs... So yes, the spec is really about spaming that, but there are CDs and procs to look at a bit. This one is a bad player.

@venomshadow94 level 37 so far, Tracer missile heavy yes. And I have NO IDEA why POWER SHOT even exists. but it is a bit more complicated than that once you get proper masteries. Tracer missile to open up, Combine the tracer with a rail shot. then Unload. Unload with the proper mastery will do very heavy damage if your crit is in the right place.will still do more dmg than tracer though. Then pop the delayed missile on em and then rinse and repeat Once u get em toss in heat seeks

And unload can do a good amount more than Tracer missile. i am not a level 50 and my gear isnt suped up but i can spam tracers for crits of around 2k-2.5k damage.but if Unload crits(after the damage increase proc) i can get 3k-4k easy.

@classmateofmine PvP in TOR isn't the same as other MMO's. Within an instanced PvP area everyone is bumped up to level 50 in stats. The only disparity is between available skills.
You know what? I'm cancelling my pre order. Every single class I planned on playing has been ruined. The Assassin plays very slow. Bounty Hunters are BORING (tracer missile spam) and that is what I wanted to play after Inquisitor. I didn't like the cover system. Why Bioware? Why can't there be a class that fits me in this game?

As much as i hate to admit it, tracer missile spam is the most effective way to deal dmg with mercenary, and i HATE it. I beta tested one and I mean i just really hope they change it cuz BH can be an awesome class
I'm really torn between the two AC's. I was planning on rolling (Arsenal) Merc, but then I heard they're a bit lacking in 1 vs 1 because they rely so much on Tracer Missile (which has cast time) and because they have less interrupt and cc abbilities then some of the other AC's. (Advanced Prototype) Powertech looks appealing now, because of skills like Quell and Grapple, but at the same time I'm sure I'll come to envy the Merc's hard hitting DPS skills. :(
Doesn't this gameplay kinda the kill the whole point of being a Jedi? Aren't they supposed to be able to deflect shit and Bounty Hunters should really not be able to kill a Jedi (of any type) as easily as this guy does in this video. But I'm just a noob to the SW universe really so I'm probably wrong.

Ok so... everybody hates tracer missile spamming. I also hate that playstyle to be honest, but it's fine, you can always go firebug. There you have, problem solved.
I would rather see a missile animation from something ill be spamming than a single sniper round animation single sniper rounds just dont have the same level of intimidation :(

1st: it doesnt have a CD that great..
2nd: it stack armor reduction thats even better.
BUT: spaming it wont get ur target killed and it wont reach more than 5 stacks. u can use ur skills on the hotbar on #1 it is a instant cast, DOT AOE. dont do much damage but it makes everyone feel that u r using different skills. u have 24 skills on ur HOTbar.. all what i saw is 4-5 skills been used. and 98% Track missle

@matyas123498 Tracer Missiles are only used for their heat signatures and as an opener to reduce armor. Once the max amount of debuffs are up, tracer missiles are useless, because there are many more skills that far out dmg tracer missiles.

The tracer missile comes from the arsenal skill tree. Pyrotech's use pretty much all there abilities while being very mobile. Anyways, it's not the BH class that spams tracer missile, only arsenal BHs do

Btw hes spamming Tracers not because he's a bad PLAYER, but because playing an arsenal Merc u have no better option. Even in close quarters. All u have are: Tracers, Heatseeking (which have CD), Railshot (which has CD) and Unload (which has CD). To execute Tracers and Unload u have to stand still. Which makes u having only 2 mobile damage spells, which both have a moderate CD. Speaking only of spells which can compete in damage with Tracers.

@venomshadow94 level 37 so far, Tracer missile heavy yes. And I have NO IDEA why POWER SHOT even exists. but it is a bit more complicated than that once you get proper masteries. Tracer missile to open up, Combine the tracer with a rail shot. then Unload. Unload with the proper mastery will do very heavy damage if your crit is in the right place.will still do more dmg than tracer though. Then pop the delayed missile on em and then rinse and repeat Once u get em toss in heat seeks

And unload can do a good amount more than Tracer missile. i am not a level 50 and my gear isnt suped up but i can spam tracers for crits of around 2k-2.5k damage.but if Unload crits(after the damage increase proc) i can get 3k-4k easy.

@classmateofmine PvP in TOR isn't the same as other MMO's. Within an instanced PvP area everyone is bumped up to level 50 in stats. The only disparity is between available skills.

You know what? I'm cancelling my pre order. Every single class I planned on playing has been ruined. The Assassin plays very slow. Bounty Hunters are BORING (tracer missile spam) and that is what I wanted to play after Inquisitor. I didn't like the cover system. Why Bioware? Why can't there be a class that fits me in this game?

I'm really torn between the two AC's. I was planning on rolling (Arsenal) Merc, but then I heard they're a bit lacking in 1 vs 1 because they rely so much on Tracer Missile (which has cast time) and because they have less interrupt and cc abbilities then some of the other AC's. (Advanced Prototype) Powertech looks appealing now, because of skills like Quell and Grapple, but at the same time I'm sure I'll come to envy the Merc's hard hitting DPS skills. :(

Doesn't this gameplay kinda the kill the whole point of being a Jedi? Aren't they supposed to be able to deflect shit and Bounty Hunters should really not be able to kill a Jedi (of any type) as easily as this guy does in this video. But I'm just a noob to the SW universe really so I'm probably wrong.

1st: it doesnt have a CD that great..
2nd: it stack armor reduction thats even better.
BUT: spaming it wont get ur target killed and it wont reach more than 5 stacks. u can use ur skills on the hotbar on #1 it is a instant cast, DOT AOE. dont do much damage but it makes everyone feel that u r using different skills. u have 24 skills on ur HOTbar.. all what i saw is 4-5 skills been used. and 98% Track missle

1-Missile Blast. Horrible ability, costs 25 heat and does equal damage to Rapid shots, which has no cost.
2-Rapid Shots. Used all the time in this video to keep heat low.
3-Heatseeking Missile. Used all the time in this video.
4-Rail Shot. Used all the time in this video.
5- Explosive Dart. Bad damage, only worth using if forced to move.
