@XCanineCutieX Well, my friend is American and she calls them cubs too but I'm british. Maybe it's an american/britain thing? Also, it makes more sense because wolves are closely releated to dogs and their babies are called puppies. Puppies/pups, same thing.

@XCanineCutieX no its wolf pups and it always was that. Wolf and dog are the same species, wolf and fox are not. Its wolf pups and thats why you dont call a puppy a cub. Do you call a baby bear a pup? Same reason why you shouldnt call a wolf pup a cub.

@ferret926 Actually, both pup AND cub are both acceptable terms for a wolf baby. Look it up. I was wrong and you are wrong as well. In the U.S. they use "pup", and in the U.K. they use "cub". The term 'Wolf Cub' has been around a lot longer than pup though. Cub used to be the more popular term but now pup has taken over that role. I, myself, prefer "cub".

@XCanineCutieX your right, I prefer pup like how a dog baby is called puppies then wolves would be pup since cub is used for bears and big cats, you know, keep it in the same species, cub sounds weird because you dont call dog's offspring cubs even though they are the same species (subspecies) of the wolf.
