At 4:08, that's me at the bottom of the screen with the blonde hair, when I was in middle school...lol...My theater class was invited to be in the movie....lot of fun. Got to meet Luke Perry. He was a good guy.
That part was filmed in Seguin, TX, as was all of the Red Rock scenes, I think. It didn't take long at all, actually..everybody clicked and they got a lot done that day.
thats cool. there was a movie made in my little hometown years ago (called "in country) and there was a scene where a girl was jogging through an area where my dad worked and they had to stop work until it was filmed. He said it took like 4 hours and about 30 takes just for her to run about 150-200 yards.
Yes, in the movie. If you look around online, you'll find that Lane's family was upset about those elements of the film as well as his relationship with his father, as they were all inaccurate. Hollywood's response was along the lines of "That's hollywood. That's drama, movies, etc. It has to have twists, color, etc."
mine too...I was in the movie in this scene at 4:08. If you look at the kid at the bottom of the screen cheering with the blonde hair...that was me in 7th grade.
love this movie , i've only seen it about 3 times yet this is the scence thatHITS home the hardest when his mom tells him to hold on to the THINGS that last .
as i lost my uncle in 2007 to a heart attack , he raised me and i was always worried about telling him I loved him as didn't think he'd belive me , i'd give anything to have a huge bear hug from him now !
thank you for posting these movie clips as went to oklahoma last oct. on uncle's birthday oklahoma .

The truth is that neither Lane or Kelly had an affair.
Lane's Dad was not a jerk like they say in the movie.
Lane was a Christian.

darensmiles4 2 years ago
in one of the ending scenes, he even says, "i never even told him... that i LOVED him..."
not: "i never even told him that 'i was proud of him and his accomplishments'"
