  • that was wonderful...

  • Takes me back to 1950's - sitting in sunny kitchen in Zillmere - listening to 4KQ with mother ironing and singing. Radio announcer was Alan Sharon.

  • Roy Hudd is a comedy actor, hence his humour when introducing the piece. Portrait of a Flirt and Jumping Bean are super!

  • Beautiful

  • He was a great arranger. Great scoring for woodwinds. This music, of course, was used in productions. Farnon lived long enough to record his music in digital, which brought out everything that analogue recording just can't. So you go to hear it in digital.

  • @Harlan346 Was that Robert Farnon who made the announcement of the piece?

  • @charade97 No it was Roy Hudd.

  • So he was the grandfather of your husband?

  • Robert Farnon is my deceased great father in law

  • Do you mean step-grandfather?

  • Really? Robert Farnon is my Grandfather :) How are you related? If you don't mind me asking.

  • Its wonderful to see this on YouTube - The shear genius of Robert Farnon is something that I will treasure forever...

  • John Wilson est le Roi!
