  • I can't believe I'm watching this to procrastinate my homework...that has nothing to do with this...wtf lol

  • thank god tom hanks called this in, we would never have know!!!

  • @mmcclain88 lol, you mean MR. Gump?

  • Wow, does anyone know where I can get footage from these 'mobs'?

  • @ladyoffaith80 and found out its all bs and talk ????

  • Politricks az uzual eh?

  • I almost felt sorry for him when he was getting on the helicopter but I now realize that he didn't think he did anything wrong. You only feel sorry for someone who realizes they have done something wrong and regret it.

  • Anybody else in here just watched this because is part of a hw assignment?

  • confused

  • He wasn't a bad man, he just made bad choices.

  • @lpd830 the choices that an individual makes heavily reflects upon the moral standing of themselves...

  • 25:25 You get to the see the making a corruption. The same tax payer leach that defended Clinton's impeachment. The same cephalopod scum that was censured.

  • Damn why didn't Nixon destroy THE GODDAMN TAPES!!! lol

  • he had "permission" to break in lol....did the president give him a permission slip?

  • I've always thought Leslie Stahl was attractive but she was downright fine when she was young.

  • @Alwaystuned not only that, i bet she's great in bed , too

  • They were actually after something called the "Gemstone File." Within it was information about who really killed JFK and RFK. Nixon wanted this so that he could use the CIA to implement his policies. Basically, hold leverage over them. That's why the burglars got themselves caught. Because Nixon went making deals with the communists (China and Vietnam), while thinking Cuba would be a small price to pay - as kennedy did. they got caught and basically got him impeached.

  • and the only reason he was pardoned by ford was because nixon was going to spill the beans about ford talking to hoover about the warren commission's private deliberations. the Gemstone File somehow made its way from Howard Hughes' bungalow in Beverly Hills, into the hands of his peeps who were all ex-FBI agents that also worked with the CIA/Mafia during the Cuban ops... It was thought to be in the offices of Larry O'Brien. It was there. The Plumbers gave it to Helms, who buried it.

  • and it is unknown to this day if the file exists or not... it would make more sense to me that Helms or other CIA people would want to hide it away deep within their files rather than destroy it because they might need it to use it against someone in the future.

JFK, RFK, Watergate... This all has to do with Aristotle Onassis.

  • Fucking scumbag Nixon. A lot of these guys go back to the Kennedy assassination. Even with the 18 minutes of erased tape, Nixon still fucked himself having mics in the oval office. Total greed at it's worst. Screw g Gordon liddy he's a dirtbag too

  • @mrpicky510 - The 18 1/2 minutes of erased tape talk about the Gemstone File. I am willing to bet Nixon was not the one who erased it, but rather people who were connected to Aristotle Onassis. He bought them off to tamper with the tapes because whatever was on it would track back to him and link him to the Kennedy assassinations.

  • You don't get to call the man you elected TWICE a crook because that's call all that support him a crook.

  • Damn, Nixon would have won the election anyway. What a paranoid dumbass. Imagine history if he would have just trusted in his campaign

  • thumbs up if you just watched Forrest Gump

  • "How important was Deep Throat to the Watergate Scandal?"

Oddly enough, a variant of this question was also asked during the Clinton Scandal.

  • deep throat the informant from the watergate scandal (MGS quote lol)

  • The way he says Deep Throat pisses me off!

  • well my homework is done o.o

  • It's a shame that the youth of today don't know what Watergate was all about.

  • @notorioussw

And tell me, what is it that the youth don't know about?

  • history

  • @notorioussw

Sorry. Rephrasing. What don't our youth not know about Watergate? Not challenging you or anything. Interested in your opinions.

  • @Gtamaster503

I was recently at an event where a watergate reference was used (Deep Throat). The speaker ensured that he wasn't being perverse, and ask the students of the audience if they ever heard of watergate. Out of 100 students ready to graduate high school about 30 raised their hands... When it was explained they couldn't believe that a scandal of this nature could take place.

  • @notorioussw

Unbelievable. We learn from out history and if they don't learn of the mistakes how can we make a better tomorrow?

  • @Gtamaster503 they know NOTHING about Watergate, isnt' taught normally

  • How do I order a DVD to this documentary?

  • I'm too lazy to watch the whole thing some one summarize this for me.

  • @Marcobalt Watch it. It was worth the time.

  • @Marcobalt Richard Nixon had people break into the Democratic National Committee headquarters and wire tap phones in order to learn information about the democratic party campaign strategy. They were caught when one of the wire taps were found to be defective and had the team break in again to fix the defective wire tap. Nixons attempt to cover this up was mainly the cause for articles of impeachment being brought against him, if he didn't resign he would most likely of been impeached.

  • F U Nixon your a liar. A sleezy politician you never should have been a president of my great country. Jfk's best 2 acheivments in office. 2. Prevent nuclear war with ussr in 1962. and #1 Keeping Nixon out of the whitehouse.

"Dont you know the responcibility I hold? Im the only man between nixon and the whitehouse"-John Fitzgerald Kennedy

  • @meronmotors I think he was interested more that they tried to assasinate him and he was looking out for that.. Nixon received death threats to a great magnitude, our best presidents get shot at. Nixon was one

  • Install adblock for firefox if u never want ads again.

    Thumbs up please

  • Commercials are fine.... Like that dude said it keeps youtube free.. I'd love to see how you whiny little bitches would react if you had to pay for youtube

  • Nixon should not have been pardoned. Just my opinion.

  • @Maiyanna Agreed completely.

  • ho shit Lesley Stahl!!

  • The Associate Director of the FBI Mark Felt was Deep Throat!

  • Rangel was there during the '70s

  • Deep Throat!

  • Jeb McGruder came out in a 2003 PBS documentary and he said the he was present at a meeting where Mitchell was on the phone with Nixon, and Nixon told Mitchell that he wanted the break-in done. So I guess it all depends on who you choose to believe. No one has backed up his story.

  • I was told that Nixon had nothing to do with the breakin but he did covered it up? Correct me if I'm wrong someone =/

  • commercials. are what keeping stations in business with the money there putting out to get there commercials aired

  • 16:41 the letter the guy was talkin about was something nixon handed him but the one the show quoted was some sort of resignation letter to the president. makes me doubt the credibility of this whole program..........

  • I dream of a world without commercials.

  • @fox9ninja I'm okay with the commercials. They're what keep YouTube free for us. Really, the internet is not free. It just has an economy that makes no sense to capitalism.

  • @fox9ninja well, then there would be no work for graphic designers. I know what you're saying though. They sometimes get really annoying. But sometimes commercials are actually really entertaining. That's all the work of skilled advertisers, filmmakers, and graphic designers. All in the field of art! :)

  • watergate is for JFK ...

  • He Said Deep Throat LOL

  • @mcr123367 Learn your history. Deep throat is the name given to the secret informants who gave information to Woodward during the Watergate scandal.

  • @kylehyde28 Deep Throat was also named after the pornographic movie of the same name. Hence, being immature is somewhat merited in this case.

  • @ULTRAHITLER Touche.

  • @mcr123367 lol

  • Goes to show how crooked the government is... it's probably even worse today!

  • dumm ass`s one peas of tape on tyhe door did it

  • why the hell do i keep getting "invalid parameters" on the video?

  • @MyButtHurtReply Hey, maybe post something when you become educated about the actual events of Watergate, and about all of the extremely beneficial and positive changes President Nixon made for this country and for the world. Too bad for you -- he's had the last word and he's up in heaven with Mrs. Nixon enjoying God's company

  • Why don't you learn to write?

  • yes - and it helps validate your point so elequently.

  • my bad mayb i went 2 far? idk

  • but it was mentioned in dis documentary

  • nixon is cool...He gave in to a woman calling for help during the middle of the night...Gold Meir..Pres of israel...for assistance with military equip...

  • haha deep throat!! haha

  • kool

  • best show on Nat Geo

  • deep throat

  • Is That Leslie Stahl at 20:42 on the right?!?!?!?!?

    She looked HOT back then!!!!

    NO WAY!!!!!!! LOL

  • I see it as when they get busted fuckin up, they kiss ass and create some new law. Just like anyone else, they come back a bit later and make sure they get around that law. Its all bullshit.

  • Cox gave Nixon a week to burn the tapes, (in todays papers the CIA is destroying tapes & papers with impunity). Instead, Nixon transcribes & catalogs the tapes

Congress never forgave Bork for the Saturday Night massacre!

Congress was full of young boomers at that time Today the Congress is the Presidents rubber stamp!

  • Note: These burglars are some of the same men a party to the JFK assassination; & the whole bay of pigs thing was reference to the JFK assassination, (angry CIA men for Kennedy double crossing them with Cuban air support resulting in the deaths of many good men)

Also, Note that Ford who pardoned Nixon was also crucial in the cover up of the JFK assassination!

  • What the burglars were looking for:

The evidence to prove that the Democrats had set up a Prostitution ring to curry favors

  • Prescott Bush got Nixon out of retirement & placed him in office!

Gonzales gave a judgeship to Jay C. Bybee in exchange for writing a recommendation for torture; Bybee was given the judgeship for justifying war crimes! And when he did that, he got the judgeship!

Atty Gen Holder is using Bybees coerced memo as reason why he will not prosecute Bush-Cheney & CIA!

So in the White House, if you want to break the law, just bribe a lawyer to write you a letter saying it is OK!

  • G. Gordon Liddy is one tough SOB...believe me, he's one you want on your side

  • this one has george bush beat thats not good

  • how is that not good?

  • WHAT THE FUCK WHAT A STUPID Comment!!!

  • Commercials just to get this off my subscription list....annnoying
