I thought of that too. I bought a cookie jar with a lid clap and I disinfect it and put them in. I think it's better that way because I don't want them to pick up any dust of liquid. It's a good idea:)

This is a great idea!!! I keep my brushes upright in a pencil cup holder on the bathroom counter and my bf always spews when he brushes his teeth or rinses out his mouth. It's really gross and I'm always paranoid about buffing in his toothpaste remnants onto my face.

i keep mine in a pencil cup holder also, but keep in on the top of my dresser until i'm ready to do my makeup. mythbusters did a show on bacteria in bathrooms & how much bateria our toothbrushes pick up & it was really gross (due to the toilet being in the same room). not to gross you out, but for all of you who keep your makeup brushes in the bathroom - you may want to rethink that idea. that is of course, if you don't cover them in a fishbowl :-)

My cat loves make-up brushes and has destroyed two (of course they were the most expensive ones I had) so I had to move all my brushes to a drawer. I was bummed that I couldn't do the Sephora idea because it is sooo pretty - now with your addition of a LID I can have the Sephora look and protect my brushes from kitty!

Actually, the lid is brilliant because it keeps also protects the brushes from dust or hair product (even toothpaste splatters), too. :)

So pretty and organized. People don't think bathrooms get dusty, but the inside of my cup of brushes gets very grody. But I have to tell you... that toilet mist is really a toilet MYTH! :) The two guys on Mythbusters (I love those nerds) hung toothbrushes everywhere in their bathroom and kitchen for a month... then they tested them and found out the bathroom brushes were bacteria free. The kitchen brushes, though... tons of germs. Moral of the story: avoid kitchen meest! :D

The acrylic filler is called Colorfil. They and the rocks should be found in the same aisle only a few feet apart from each other.
