The Grooves at 2:31 - 2:48 and at 3:07 -3:24 are totally insane.
It's like Stewart Copeland meets Gavin Harrisson.
Everyone should give Chris Brien a 5 Star rating, he is so unique. Full of groove mixed with incredible techinique.

Chris, that was awesome mate.. Nikk would be soo proud! I'll show it to him when he gets in, but as always, a superb effort from the drummer I wish mine could be more like! Hopefully catch you in september!

I'll try to explain what I'm playing at 2.40.
It is based on the sticking pattern:
LRR-LRR-L. Starting on the first count of the bar. (Obviously playing 1/16th notes)
The count would be: 1e+a 2e+
I'm putting another left hand between the double R so it is actually:
LR(l)R-LR(l)R-L.
This then creates a 3 Stroke Ruff.
To enhance the attack of the 3 stroke Ruff I am back-sticking the 2nd R hand of the 3Stroke Ruff.
