Hi, No, there is no problem with passing the food item down through the throat using tweezers. This doesn't cause any harm to the snake at all. It also places the food item into a possition where you can force the food into the stomach, using your thumb. This snake is perfectly healthy and hammering food down on her own now.
How big do granite spotted pythons get and how long do they live? Mine is almost 4 foot 5 inches so I'm not sure if I should expect him to stop growing soon
@sesomwolf Hi, Yes you can use beef heart aswell. I prefer to use beef heart or pigs heart on a non-feeder as they have a higher level of nutrition compared to a pinkie. Pinkies are about 85%-90% water. Pig heart or beef heart is fairly inexpensive and can be purchased normally from a local butcher.

Hi Katy, he will about be fully grown at 4' 5'' so he shouldn't get too much bigger
