  • Lata Mangeshkar is great

  • Which Dance Style is this?

  • The songs ok, and all, but i dnt understand d theme, d songs, in hindi wid a mixture of malayala, and d backdrop is in kerala, ,, d film's in hindi, a not making any sense, any ways kudos to d creators!!

  • superb song great music sharukh is handsome in this movie

  • raj

  • i allways listin to this song befor sleepin i like it sooo...thnks from morroco to india

  • i LOVE the dance they do :)

  • This song is gorgeous.

  • its beautiful composition..... it shows the nature of kerala......... really its "Gods own country"........

  • does anyone have the remix to this?

  • super music.

  • are there schools that teach this? Cause I would love to know how to do dance like that! I love the movement and the flow of it... and especially how expressive the movements are! It's like telling a story with your body! (much like the Hawaiians do)

  • So you are just assuming that I'm American and that I'm not an Indian that was deprived the knowledge due to my parents.

Granted I'm American... but a love of other cultures is not a sin and my wanting to learn something that is so expressive and beautiful also not a sin.

And what may I ask is a hot dog dance? Cause I've never even heard nor seen a dance called the Hot Dog Dance... please enlighten me.

  • A Hot Dog dance is performed in Texas while watching Nascar and holding up a can of Budd Light. Moving your ass right to left while maintaining your sense of balance and making sure not to puke and yelling yee haww in between. And please don't try to learn other cultures because most likely the natives will make fun of you.

  • Sweetheart, I have news for you... A. I don't live in Texas. B. I don't watch Nascar. C. I don't drink. D. I don't say Yee Haww. and E. I live in America... and I have a right to learn what I want... and I don't care if I'm made fun of for it...

Or is it cause I'm a woman and you think that I should be degraded by men?

I don't live in India... so i don't see how they can make fun of me?

And last I heard East Indians are accepting and open to others.

  • its not because your a woman its because these customs are pagan and ancient thus they are only meant for people who truly understand them and cannot be leaned just like that it takes a lifetime of cultural upbringing and knowledge and appreciation you cant use these moves to loose weight they have a spiritual and cultural significance. And please get that lesbian feminist male degrading bullshit out of here Men love women a lot ok so give a little love back.

  • Now had you put it like that instead of making a point about my being an american there wouldn't have been an arguement... although you should also keep in mind that some people are not out there to just take what others have just for own personal gain... I want to learn the dance to better understand a country that is so often made to look bad... to learn something that is beautiful and expressive. And if there are men like that? Where are they? I'm not a lesbian either. Nor a feminist.

  • I for one love women and never in my life treated one like crap or thought of her as inferior but i am sick of all these dance routines and gullible americans lulled in to lerning these dance moves that aren't even the true ones but only basic if you want to learn you must go to india and also dont forget to read a book called Empires of the indus by alice albaina now that is a real western!

  • I'll take a look at it...

  • Translation of the Malayalam lyrics in the second half of the song: Oh kuruvani bird

You make these sweet sounds and chirp While swinging on the kunni tree Listen! Your lover is calling out to you again and again

    (Repeat)

    Your golden anklets

Like the cooing of a cuckoo

Like the beauty of a dancing peacock

  • Translation of the Malayalam lyrics in the first half of the song: Give me a lovely smile I think of kisses sweeter than grapes Oh my lovely sweetheart When you dance in the golden light of the sun Your golden anklets Like the cooing of a cuckoo Like the beauty of a dancing peacock

  • Sharukh is at his best in this video and music is awesome...

  • 2:47 to 3:09 what are they saying? can anyone translate that to me?

  • how did this film not win the filmfare?

  • Love the song, but not thee except thee woman in there...shes, shes, shes explosive....

  • your right man- i think that this movie album is rehman's finest work too. and i think its a lot better than o saya

  • tumsemilaaa - indian film industry same as hollywood work with the govt of their nation, - this movie had a strong massage from one of the ethnicities who r treated like crap by the govt, and they wanted to prove their point of miserable life to the govt... the message fell on deaf ears though..

imagine if it had won the award and the buzz that would've gotten from that?? the govt, wudda been criticized 2 much.

none of the govts really work for their ppl. it's a shame..

  • this is when srk was on song.

  • The chemistry between Sharukh and Priety in this video is amazing! Also the songs from this films are probably AR Rahman's best work.

  • I totally agree. Loved all the songs. And the filming for this one is beautiful.

nice dance by the troupe ppl on the boat in the beautiful backdrop.

  • can someone explain wht they are singing in malayalam...plssssssss

  • That's because Preity Zinta is a Keralite in the movie.

  • i know they are singing in malayalam but i didn't know that preity was a malayalee in the movie...that's cool i guess lol.

  • watch this

  • JIYA JALE JAAN JALE
